The reasons for governors defection from one party to another is not for the benefits of citizens but for there own selfish interest, without being remorseful for the wrong they have done instead they encout there wickedness with the shadows of others mistake by providing open criticians and detailed evidence about then all just to make us forget there past.  Nigeria we see have been faced with different heart killing challenges which are : insecurity, hardship, constant inflation, lack of electricity and so on. If the Nigeria constitution doesn't kick against members of a political party from defecting to another party,has any law in the constitution been violated by such defections? The answer is No. Politicians occupying public offices have the constitutional rights to defects to parties of their choices which isn't prohibited by the law. When you see Governors defecting to the ruling party, just know that they haven't violated any law. What I'm concerned about is the political motives behind their defection,and whether it is for the best interest of the state, which I doubt because politicians in Nigeria are selfish and self centered.

That's what they are after and that's why in the midst of the insecurity that the country is experiencing, they will rather focus on setting structures that will make them win the next election rather than setting structure that will help curb the insecurity situation in the country.

If we get into a one party system, there's an high chance that things will not get better at all even in years to come because with the approach our leaders are leading us with, there's nothing to show that they have a solid plan for us both now and in the future. The constant defection of governors from one political party to another is not the solution to the real problems our citizens are facing today. While politicians move from party to party in search of personal advantage, the ordinary Nigerian continues to struggle with insecurity, hunger, unemployment, and rising hardship.
Let us be honest, fighting corruption in this country is one of the biggest and most difficult projects anyone can undertake, The moment you decide to confront corruption, many fingers will point at you, You will be labeled an enemy, Those who benefit from corruption will resist you, frustrate you, and do everything possible to force you to either give up or join them, That is the painful reality of our system,
Instead of endless political defections, our leaders should be focused on governance. If Nigeria practiced a truly disciplined democratic system, whether multi-party or otherwise, party defection would not be the major issue it has become today. What truly matters is leadership with integrity, accountability, and courage.
This country cannot move forward while insecurity continues to spread and corruption remains unchecked. Nigerians are not asking for party switches, they are asking for safety, justice, and a government that works for the people.
It is time to put the nation first, rise above personal interests, and face the real challenges confronting our country.

In my opinion I don't think this country can ever get better, or maybe not in this generation or even the next. The politicians defecting from one party to the other is not for the betterment of the country,  but for their selfish interests to protect their wealth and also to remain in power. The politicians really don't care about the people, but only themselves and their family,  so they will never do anything in the interests of the people. I pity those that still have hope in this country,  because this country is hopeless and helpless.

You won’t blame most of the governors that are defecting, there is a saying that if you can’t beat them you join them, the umbrella (PDP) that brought most of this governors is currently leaking, there is chaos in the party currently so most of the governors wants to secure their second tenure in office and are not ready to take chances while on the other hand Tinubu is categorizing on their quest for second tenure to drag them to his party APC.

Politics is just a game of the masters, any party that doesn’t utilize her chances when they are in power will regret it, however am really not in support of a one party system because it always don’t give room for checks and balances, the only way Nigeria can work again is when we have a leader that actually wants things to work, a leader that won’t be blinded by unnecessary quest for just power without ambitions, i do hope the coalition will produce such a leader.

I don't think corruption is meant to be fight in this country. This is how it has always been in the past and that's how they want it to be. They see anyone fighting corruption as an enemy that's why the rate of corruption in the country keep getting higher and higher. The major cause of corruption is greed, everyone only wants the best for himself and doesn't care about others that's what all this politicians has, they are very greedy and always wants all things for themselves.

None of these politicians really care about the country else they would have try to make it a better place. Most others end up joining so they don't end up losing their jobs. It will take a very long time before Nigeria can get better and it can only get better when corrupt individuals are no longer in power and how will they not be in power when they keep jumping from one party to the other, if a new party is formed and it looks as if that party will change the governance they will deflect and join the new party, the leadership of Nigeria keeps revolving among a group of politicians that don't have any good programs nor project that will revive the decaying system of governance we have so it can't get any better soon.

The only solution that will make Nigeria better is via revolution where the Youths will stand and carry out a massive protest demanding all the politicians to vacate their political offices and a brand new government takes over power and Younger ones are given the opportunity to lead, that's the only time Nigeria will get better. The Nigerian Democratic system does not prevent one from joining any political party of his or her choice, the system allows one to freely join any political party of his choice at any given time.
