Scam Accusation: nonkyc.io – Arbitrary Account Closure & Threatened Asset Confiscation

Exchange: nonkyc.io
Asset involved: AI Power Grid (AIPG)
User status: Non-KYC user
Amount involved: Small (amount is NOT the issue)

1️⃣ Background

nonkyc.io officially announced the delisting of AIPG with the following statement (public page):

“Users who hold project tokens or coins that are delisted here: withdraw your tokens or coins to your own personal asset wallet or other exchanges. After delisting, users who do not withdraw within 30 days will be at their own risk.”

Delisting final date: 2025-11-20

According to this notice, withdrawals should remain possible until at least 2025-12-20

2️⃣ What Actually Happened

Before the 30-day withdrawal period expired:

AIPG withdrawals were disabled

Wallets were removed

No technical explanation was provided

When I contacted support and referenced their own delisting notice, the response escalated rapidly.

3️⃣ Support Messages (Verbatim Quotes)

Support replied with the following statements (screenshots attached):

“I really don't care about your publish notice”

“I know I am closing your account”

“You have 24 hours from now to withdraw your assets. If not, we closed it, with or without assets.”

“You are not able to open any new ticket here anymore.”

This is not a misunderstanding — it is an explicit threat of asset confiscation and arbitrary account closure, stated in plain language.

4️⃣ Why This Is a Serious Issue

This case is not about the token quality, the developer, or the amount of funds.

The problem is:

The exchange ignored its own published delisting rules

Support explicitly stated they do not care about their own notice

A 24-hour ultimatum was imposed outside any published policy

Account closure was declared with or without remaining assets

This behavior demonstrates:

No respect for announced terms

No user asset protection

Complete discretionary control over user balances

5️⃣ Evidence

Screenshot of official delisting notice

Screenshot of disabled withdrawal before 30 days

Screenshot of support conversation containing the quoted threats

(All screenshots attached below.)

6️⃣ Conclusion

Regardless of how anyone feels about AIPG or its developer:

An exchange that publicly states it can close accounts “with or without assets” and openly ignores its own rules should not be trusted with custody of user funds.

This post is made for documentation and community awareness.

Make your own judgment.

Amount involved: Small (amount is NOT the issue)

Small as in less than $1 or something?

So what exactly is the issue here?

I see from the screenshots that support closed your account after the altercation; you withdrew your remaining assets right?

(At least it is not an issue related to KYC.)

The issue is not whether I personally recovered funds.

The issue is that the exchange:

Ignored its own published 30-day withdrawal policy

Explicitly stated it does not care about that policy

Threatened account closure “with or without assets”

Whether funds were ultimately withdrawn does not change the nature of that behavior.

This thread is for documentation and awareness, not personal recovery.

They migrated their coin over to Base and their old blockchain is no longer functional. There also doesn’t seem to be a way for users to migrate their tokens to Base because their bridge is unavailable.
https://bridge.aipowergrid.io/

It shouldn’t be difficult to support an ERC-20 token, so I assume their issues are related to the migration. The date when the notice was published on Telegram was around the time AIPG’s old blockchain stopped producing blocks. https://explorer.aipowergrid.io/

If the token developers weren’t helpful in enabling migration and nonkyc.io is left with worthless coins on a dead chain, I don’t see how they would be able to help you in any way.

(At least it is not an issue related to KYC.)
I don't think it's a KYC issue, nonkyc violates a one-sided agreement with customers that they made themselves without further explanation (and of course in a friendly manner). I imagine if it involved a fairly valuable coin like ETH. This kind of behavior is quite dangerous.
Anyway, this is their official thread ?topic=5454879.20

Agreed — this is not a KYC issue.

The core problem is exactly what you described:
a one-sided policy created by the exchange, then arbitrarily disregarded by the exchange itself.

The concern is not AIPG specifically.
As you pointed out, if the same behavior occurred with a widely held asset (e.g. ETH), the impact would be severe.

Regarding the link: yes, that is their official ANN thread.
I am not posting there to argue, only documenting behavior here with evidence for awareness.
