i had to test my culinary skills again this year with Okra and ogbono soup, one of Nigerian most intriguing soup that is very tasty and well desired especially in restaurants and big events.
Ingredients includes.
.1 Okra
2. Ogbono
3. Onion
4. Periwinkles
5. Smoked governor fish
6. Uziza leave
7. Pepper.
8 seasoning and salt.






 Had to take out time to slice the ingredients in preparation of the soup proper.

This was after I've put all the ingredients in the pot while cooking it.


And the soup was ready, I had to make hot Eba to follow it up.

To honest to myself with this particular contest of soup and pepper soup dishes, it has make me be able prepared goat meat pepper soup by myself for the very first time and such it will also give opportunities to so many members of the local board who will time to go to market and prepare the dishes that is required in this 2025/2026 contest, i was able to archive the cooking of egusi soup when i first added my red oil in the port that was heating on my gas cylinder and then i added my egusi which i started to steering  the egusi inside and within some seconds i added my steam cow meat and i added all the ingredients and i allow the soup to boil for a little beat after put bitter leaf, which i will mention all the ingredients used below.

Cooking no easy ooo from going to the market to standing in the kitchen to make a meaningful dish is not for the weak oo , so today I decided to make my favorite soup which is vegetable soup and hot assorted goat meat pepper soup .so Let me  use opportunity to list out the ingredients I used in making this nourishing meal,below are the things I used

With little water in the pot, I boiled the cow meat alongside the stock fish and the chopped cow skin(Kpomo)

This is when I began frying the Egusi( the Aroma at this point made neighbors to start knocking on my door to know who was cooking

In the spirit of the festive season I decided to join in on the friendly cooking contest and truth be told I am not the best cook out there I can in any way start calling myself a chef but I did do my best though so I'm just going to enter the contest.
My dish is Ogbono/Ogbolu soup with Pork meat pepper soup and garri as the swallow, I wanted to use fufu instead of garri but garri ultimately won that contest.

i have a question what about invented food? newly invented foods. i saw this chef make a soup with bananas and other african ingredents, the chef is nigerian himself so can emulating and trying to replicate his invented delicacy within the rule.

If you read the rules or guidelines, it says you can make any kind of soup, just any kind you can. So, you are free try it out, so long as it is eatable and nice. Have fun, enjoy

I guess i will have to cook my Christmas meal early, I will go full chef mode today! The kitchen will be my second room for sure, Egusi and Ogbono with a small touch of stew. I guess this is a contest for the Bachelor's Association, may the best bachelor win in the mighty name of Jesus. I just pray i don't finish the meat while the food it's still cooking on fire!.
