Some people do indeed get new wins; I have a friend who I think was lucky enough to win from a new account. You already answered your question. Of course its for referral and for their marketing only, there might be some users who will claim that it's true but it's just a coincidence. There's no way the spins changes odds and the providers or casinos won't definitely change the odds for new users, if they would be having that kind of promotion, I think they would prioritize the VIPs and old gamblers, and to the fact that casinos are businesses, there's no way they would do it if it would hurt their business.

Don't believe everything you see or hear from these influencers. Their focus is on how to make money via commission. Maybe they are saying this because they are promoting a casino and want people to register.

Could it be the influencers is banking of the house hedge? It's possible but it's rare though. New casino most often focus on how to on board new customers and bonus is the only thing I know. I don't think a casino will be so daft to let customers allow to win freely when theya are just  new startup with limited funds trying to survive the competition between them and other casino. Influencers are deceivers. I once fell into one of their tricks.
