I heard that this actually worked at one time, but it has since been deemed unethical and even illegal (odds-fixing is a crime under current laws), so in today's world it's nothing more than nonsense.

There are some gambling site, such as metawin.com that this could be possible, not that it is guaranteed but the winning probability in Metawin.com is actually very good than the rest casinos that I have made use of them, since I started using this gambling site that was how I reducing how much I lose while gambling. We don't know the truth behind that but I don't think they will resort to this tactic to entice new gamblers to stay. In the long run, it can give them financial troubles. So for me, a reputable casino won't do such strategy to attract gamblers. It will be at their expense if they will continue to do so. Also, I don't think such strategy would be sustainable for the casino in the long run. It is not in any way a very smart strategy to entice gamblers on their platform. These is a very big lie, there's nothing like that in gambling. However, I think is the only gamblers that normally gamble to become rich overnight that would easily get carried away by this deceivers. That is right also, I never think in that direction, influencers may want to talk gambler's into believing that new gambling accounts have higher chances of winning that the old account the reason may be because the influencer want his followers to register under his referral code, so as to get rewarded from the players wagering, so telling them the potential winning ratio in new account can be his marketing way's.

You are quite right in your argument since a sound business model depends on the health of the cash flow in the long term with mathematically guaranteed profits.
