Well I think we’re doing this at the very wrong timing, we already knows how bad Nigeria is right now with the insecurity in the country, kidnapping, killing of innocent people, destruction of lives and property, and the so called Christian Genocide in the country that most people have said there is nothing as such, but this things are actually happening in the country.

We should have done this protest last month, when people was killed and kidnapped in church and also why doing it now when things are a bit calm, well I don’t know what NLC stands to gain from this, because they are an organization that is only interested in what they can benefit from the Federal government, they all have selfish interests, and I will not be among those joining for the protest because it’s worthless and nothing is going to change.

I think as soon as they are given some money and incentive’s that is the end of the protest, my question is have any protest brought anything positive in this country.

That is not the work of NLC. Nigeria Labour Congress should protest on something related to labour like wages and salary that government are paying workers. This is about insecurity, it is better if Nigerians do the protest instead of only labour going for the protest, to let the government know that they are not doing their work than to hold their citizens on the neck with heavy taxes and subsidy removal.

This is truly not the main duty of NLC, but they are also citizens of Nigeria and are also affect by the insecurity issues going on in the country,  so I think it's a good thing if they decide to protest against insecurity.
They are a well known organization with a lot of poor in every  society, but my issue is not about the people protesting, rather my issue is with government. Will they hear the cry of the citizens, will their be any changes after the protest? This I really can't assure anyone, because I have never seen any protest that yield any thing positive in this country. We all pray that the government should look into the insecurities in the country,  because it's really getting worse everyday.

I am in favour of the protest, but it's not a protest that NLC as a body should organise. They can do it as normal citizens, so everybody and anybody can join, but not as a body. What I expected them to organise was a protest against the tax increase. It's ridiculous that people have to pay 25% income tax in a country that has so many poor people. Workers and members of the NLC should be protesting this because it will not be funny when the tyrant we have as government starts taking about N400k from your N2 million annual salary. Things like this don't happen anywhere.

Am really not in support of any protest because i know it won’t yield any good results, take for example every other protest that have been held in the past has it really yielded anything positive? The thing is most Nigerians are corrupt and two wrongs can’t make a right, the NLC too have been compromised, most of their leaders always take bribe at the eve of every protest, it’s just the other innocent members that will just go out and waste their time, the government right from the past has always bought over the labour unions and most of their demands are not met because you can’t eat your cake and have it.

Another bad part is the implication of each protest, if you are observant you will see that every protest normally slow down activities, it will either result in hike in fuel prices or transport fare or people not getting access to medical care, after which instead of the leaders to wait and conclude with the government few of them will go behind and take bribe. So to me let them leave all this their protest here and there that won’t yield any good result, when Nigeria is ready for change we will know, it is not by everyday protest.

This  association has been making noise for long about protest and yet there has not been any meaningful outcome of there protests. Labour union isn't organised in Nigeria. Therefore I don't think if this there protests will different from the previous one, if not most of the things that do happens in Nigeria was not supposed to have. The presidents of NLC is just looking for attention from federal government .
However, with the present of omoyele sowore I think the protest may yield an impact.

Nigerians are afraid of holding peaceful protests against the government due to how protesters are brutally handled during protest by the government. Everyone is scared of coming out to speak against this government because they fear their might be shots by the police or the Army. The government don't want Nigerians to protest which is why they shot at harmless citizens. If we remain silent, insecurity will get to our homes whether we like it or not. I"m in support of the protest,we can't continue to die in silence.

Na better thing for that protest be that and that will make our leaders to take action immediately, but what we are facing in Nigeria currently is bigger than what we are thinking, insecurity in Nigeria is too much and it looks like the citizens will start protecting themselves from all this bandits and kidnappers because our government don’t care, the government will wait until the kidnappers kidnapped people and ask for the ransom money that is when the government will involve in the matter.

They recruiting many forces every year and the country looks like a country where they employ many forces in every five years, there is a news that I also heard that the government has withdrawn some arm forces from our rich men and some leaders and up to now I don’t see any difference, protest can not only help us in the country at least we should also learn to protect ourselves.

Before I say something about the protest, I hope you are awhere that in Nigeria protest never brings any positive outcome, not that am in support of the high insecurity challenges across the country but I just don't want to hear the news of more deaths because there is nothing the Nigeria's government can not do because all sector of the country is at the supremacy of the politicians, in as much as Nigeria is consign there no sector they can not Manipulate because manipulation is the calling
