I have a simple question to ask.  What are children at a tender age doing on Social Media?  How does it help them and why do they have an account over there.  It seems like children are treated nowadays as if they are fully responsible adults.  If you let them sit on a website definitely not meant for an audience of children, expect them to see things definitely not meant for an audience of children.

I believe that children should not be given independent access to phones, computers, or the internet until they are adults. In this case, parental surveillance should be maintained at all times. Many of us think that by giving children access to computers or the internet, we will adapt them to the digital age, but if we do not exercise proper parental control, then children will reach the digital age but will absorb most of the negative aspects, including gambling promotions and other addictions.
And in this regard, we parents have no choice but to be careful. I never try to give my young children phones, and even if I do, they will watch animal videos in my hands and then turn it off and leave it alone.

Kids look around and want things other kids have. If you manage not to let your kid socialise then you can save him from gadgets. And even if you try to monitor and limit what they look on their devices, you cant do same with other kids. If your kid dont see gambling, that does not mean that his friend will tell him about it, or your kid will hear about it from older kids or adults.

I honestly think that we are moving to an age where degeneracy will be encouraged across the board. Nowadays, a lot of people glorify prediction market platform like Polymarket. You can't control or regulate the media but you can do what you can to make sure that your kids are not influenced negatively by what they come across online. social media ads are there to promote casinos and if there is one thing about this we know that the casinos only advertise and show the positives sides of it, as adults we know that winning is not always possible like that but when kids see this they automatically believe it is possible to win just the way it is been advertised on social media. parents should do their best to help create an awareness on gambling addiction and teach their kids

I agree, it's not even worth it to give independent access to them because they're still kids and they don't understand anything. If someone gives phone to a kid then there should always be some type of parental controls on it to monitor each activity of the children, and if they move towards wrong direction then a parent should stop them.

That is the sad part of how our society goes.
Many are laid off with their jobs and that's the alternative that they have on their minds.
The prediction markets or simply the casinos have become their way to get some help financially because they think they can win and double their money.

I have a kid and I pay close attention to how he using social media, especially because there are so many ads everywhere. Thankfully, he hasn’t been influenced by gamble ads yet. What worries me more is when he plays with other kids. I’m afraid that one day they might introduce him to gambling or treat gambling as something fun and harmless. Once, I saw another child asking my kid to play a game together where the loser had to pay for a snack, it seemed normal. However, moments like that can quietly create a habit, introducing the feeling of betting, winning  and losing. Even small play, playful bet can make the seed of addiction which is what make them dangerous.

Imagine, a kid who won and starts wanting to bet more when they grow up that same mindset could lead them to using real money for real bets. What begins as a normal game can slowly turn into risky behavior without them even realizing it. That’s why I believe it’s important to be aware of these small moments. Social media is very vast,it can destroy and still build an individual,so we’re advised to choose rightly.Speaking of the young ones,this generation we are is a digital age where children are exposed to so many things on the internet.As a parent you can’t detect what’s going on in your children phones except you go through them,definitely ads will pop up on their social media accounts so it’s left for parents to educate their children on the dangers of gambling at a young age.So after advising them no matter how enticing the ads may be they won’t be interested in giving it a try.

It is better to say than to keep silent. Gambling ads can be very tempting, and this is the main reason parents have an important role to play in teaching their children the negative aspects of gambling, which can result from a lack of understanding.

There is no guarantee that every child will avoid gambling, even if parents try to provide an understanding of it, but children are likely to follow their parents' instructions. It is very important to always keep children and youth alert to preserve the future generation. Moreover I do think some social media if not all should have an age limit of which anyone that isn't up to that won't be allowed to register with them. However, if a kid is been granted access to there ward phone and they decided to use that opportunity to make use of social media. Probably because we are in the Gambling Discussion board?  Discussing anything outside of gambling discussion will surely be locked or moved to its designated board.  So I think it makes sense that, despite there being lots of unhealthy ads on social media platforms, @OP specified gambling ads to be discussed so that it aligns with this board.

With regard to gambling ads being seen by minors, I think it really has a negative effect on these children.  At a young age, they are exposed to an activity that can have a serious negative impact on their mental state.  Most of these exposures are not guided by parents or guardians so the kids being curious can lead them to engage in gambling activities and may have a wrong concept about gambling that can affect their future actions.

I agree that parents must monitor their kids, they must install an application to the gadget this kids use to monitor what applications or websites they are accessing.  With this, they can guide their kids and stop them if ever these kids cross the line.

Social media promotions can't stop because a parent allows their kids to process information they aren't yet of age to process. In kids' sites of games, it's hard to see this kind of gambling promotion, and as parents, it's your responsibility to put restrictions on your kids' mobile phones and protect them from things you don't want them to see or hear. Censoring the Internet and turning it in to a hell hole does not make things better for children.  They will continue to find ways to circumvent the restrictions like you say.  They are claiming they are doing it to 'protect' the children when in reality I am thinking their next step is to censor more to avoid more of what sounds really bad.

The education does not and must not come from the State but from the parents.  Parents rarely educate their children nowadays and this is where we are now.
