This is a real and complex threat to future generations. I could explain this at length, but it's impossible.
So, stop blaming anyone before you act like a caring parent. Parents should be a real shield of protection.
Parents must first supervise their children's gadget use and then teach them what is appropriate to emulate.
Parents must also actively monitor their children's activities. Because I believe that as parents, we alone cannot prevent online gambling advertisements on social media.
The only way we can do this is by protecting, educating, and supervising.

Social media platforms can only warn the online casino to arrange a time to show the ads. The responsibility will be on parents to monitor their kids phone use and access to social media. If parents can explain the danger of gambling, their kids will not get involved and stay away because they don't want to get into any problems.

It needs guidance from parents to their kids so they will not use social media for the wrong things. Children's phones need to filter this by activating device protection. But this still needs to be monitored by their parents.

Social media would always be there and like you noted, it has grown to now become part of our lives as people are increasingly more reliant on social media for whatever reasons. Gambling ads on social media can be attractive and lure in underage children with the false notion of getting some money quickly.
How to curb this menace? It's pretty simple, as parents, don't let your kids get the education and knowledge about several things which your kid may be curious about from somewhere else. Make sure you're the one to proper educate your kid when he's old enough, about such topics. Kids are normally curious about and would go on to indulge in any activity they may deem interesting or cool. So, early and informed advise from you the parent, helps your kid make the right and proper decision when faced with making a choice.

In my opinion, the way online casinos are promoting themselves on social media is a real threat to the next generation. If nothing is done, it could encourage children to choose gambling over learning and make decisions that might harm their future.

How can social media platforms help protect children from seeing gambling ads?

Not just casino ads though, every ads or promotions or anything you see in the social media could be harming to anyone not just kids. But for the younger generation it's very hard to monitor what they can and can't see in the internet as everything is there.

I don't think that the social media platform will be blame though, maybe they have this kind of restrictions on some of them on what the underage might see. So still up to the parents to really be their on their side at a young age so that they can see and we can give what they can only accessed until they are old enough. So we carry the responsibility here.

casino is illegal in my country and government blocked a lot of gambling websites,
govt are very strict to protect people's from gambling, but social media an easy accesible to everyone even kinds are using social media,
casino platforms target to their aggressive marketing strategies in social media platform,
it’s difficult to totally stop casino advertisement from social media,
so guardian should teach their childrens to avoid gambling.

How can social media platforms help protect children from seeing gambling ads?

I thought advertising from platform services could still be controlled. But nowadays, many ads are just attached to short videos or through influencer posts, which are difficult to control.
These videos are very easy for anyone to access, including curious teenagers. Not to mention, if the children's environment is also popular with gambling, the potentially easy access can definitely make the situation worse.
Content creators and influencers must stop the way they promote gambling sites. They should promote in the right place with the right target audience.

Stop blaming casinos for destroying kids lives and causing addiction. Blame parents who are not serious enough about parenting and education. Everything starts from the family. If parents havent taught or explained what is gambling, if parents show little care (or as it is popular to say "they are busy at work and need rest of the day after to rest"), then everything can bring problems to kids. Today a lot of parents have replaced role of a parent from themselves on YouTube and gadgets. Have more control of your kids, involve more in their lives and nothing will destroy life of your kids.

This is the reality the we find ourselves experiencing in this age of social media, all sorts of adverts are online, the only thing we have to do is choose what we are interested in and ignore the rest. I know that such decisions will be easy for adults who have more experience about life but the underaged who thinks that life is a bed of roses can make a mistake of thinking that gambling is a get rich quick scheme. They are still dependants and can missus money that is given them for important things like tuition fees to try and multiply it in gambling. We adults and parents should guide our underaged kids and dependants against the dangers of irresponsible gambling, it is good to talk about it since they are already seeing it on social media.

These days, online casinos are advertising a lot on social media, and I think this could be really harmful for kids in the future. Social media is a big part of everyone’s life now, and these gambling ads pop up in videos, posts, and stories everywhere. When young children see them and are tempted by the idea of making easy money, it can be dangerous.

Kids are curious, and the lure of quick money can easily grab their attention. Early exposure to gambling can distract them from school and lead to emotional stress or addiction. Social media gambling ads put the next generation at real risk. Over time, this can lead to emotional problems and even addiction, because it’s hard for anyone, especially kids, to control themselves once they get hooked.

In my opinion, the way online casinos are promoting themselves on social media is a real threat to the next generation. If nothing is done, it could encourage children to choose gambling over learning and make decisions that might harm their future.

How can social media platforms help protect children from seeing gambling ads?
I'm not a fan of restricting a business because someone has self-control issues. There have been tons of gambling ads around me since my childhood, but I have not become a gambler because my parents were talking to me about how bad being addicted to gambling was and how it would not benefit me because if it were possible to win in a casino, it would be a charity organisation. Since casinos rarely go bankrupt but gamblers often do, it means that the system is not in your favour.
Today I am an adult and I gamble but I gamble responsibly because I know that I'll lose money if I try to earn money from it. Since I enjoy gambling and I know my limits, I'm happy with it.

I believe that parents should have communication with their children. They should explain that casinos are not allowed for kids and teenagers, that it's not an easy way to make money, because if it were, everyone who gambles would be rich. They should explain to their kids that there is an RTP in the casino world, which means that in the case of 99% RTP, you receive 99% of your money back while the casino receives 1% from you. Mathematically, it gives the casino a guaranteed profit and you get a guaranteed 1% loss unless you are one in a million who wins a jackpot.

How can social media platforms help protect children from seeing gambling ads?
They're not forcing anybody to join gambling, they're only doing their business so there's no how we can stop their operation in social media because there are people that also benefiting from them. However, I think the only thing we need to do is to monitor our kids by keeping them far away from social media because there are a lot of things going on there which is not healthy for our young generation.

Children should not be playing social media, rather focus on learning at school, right? Then why are you blaming social media for the casino ads that are there?

This cannot be intervened by you because it is part of the business to promote advertisements on social media and it has become commonplace --- you should not be surprised about this.

What needs to be considered is that your child is closely supervised by his parents so that as much as possible playing social media is limited or monitored continuously --- so to stop advertising on social media for gambling it will not be possible.

If you say destroying kids on social media, it makes me wonder if the social media is meant for kids. For me the usage of internet by children should be properly taken care of as they don't really need the internet in my opinion. A programmed information is what they need at that level where they should not be In contact with information as to choose. Giving kids access to the internet can be seen to be normal but I can't see the internet as a space for kids. The internet is a space were u make your choice and decide for yourself even with all the adds but kids are not meant to make choice and make decision in a space like that. So to avoid them clicking on any popups (as making a choice) is to give them programmed information (info that can't have extra content unknown to the parents) and that means not taking them to the online space.

How can social media platforms help protect children from seeing gambling ads?

This is a clear case where the authorities must act firmly with legislation on the matter and impose heavy fines on casinos that break the rules. The problem is that social media is global, while legislation on the matter is national. But if you want to, you can.
Despite some opinions around here, children are especially vulnerable and must be protected. Also, early exposure increases risk, so the more that can be done to prevent, the better.

Real education starts at home. Your parents are supposed to teach you what goes and what doesn't. Maybe I am lucky, growing up in the 80s and 90s when things were still normal. We grew up with video games and scary movies but addictions were never an issue as they are now. We knew how to separate reality from the virtual world. Only in the virtual one was it acceptable to beat a prostitute to death and take her money, but no one thought about doing it for real.

Kids nowadays are addicted to everything or use that as an excuse for their wrongdoings or that of their parents. Why would a child be on social media anyway if their brains still can't separate the two worlds? That's where parents come in. They are supposed to moderate and limit exposure to unwanted content, set rules with a firm hand, and explain the dangers of what their children are seeing and participating in.

I think if casinos advertised their services on social media, they would face stricter regulations, as gambling isn't accessible to everyone. Some countries even prohibit gambling. However, even if it were to be broadcast while children were using social media, parents would play a crucial role in supervising and educating their children about the dangers of gambling. However, a major problem today is when some illegal casinos promote their sites through live streaming. I've seen several game streamers for children promoting online gambling sites. The modus operandi is for the gambling sites to send prizes to the livestreamers, who then read out the links and promotional content displayed on the screen. This is why parents must also understand social media, as it's very difficult to supervise children today if they're not tech-savvy.

How can social media platforms help protect children from seeing gambling ads?
Sad to say they won't and they are not responsible for our children lives. They operated on the business that everyone is a target for them regardless of what age. That is the sad truth as this era is all about influence and who had the most money. And if you have that kind of money, you can influence everything and everyone, just like casinos itself who are a billion dollar business. So if we want our children to be protected from gambling ads, then us the parents should talk full responsibility from the start that they were born. I remember Apple's Steve Jobs, he said that he didn't allow his kids to have gadgets because he knows what it can bring to them. So for parents our there who love their kids, try as much as possible be with them and guide them when they are surfing the Internet.

Regulations is weak in most countries around the world, if not the Internet and social media should be under strong regulations, means that social media space be closely monitored by the government broadcasting body and let content that are published on social media be carefully scrutinized, gambling ads is at alarming rate on most social media apps even Banks apps are now promoting gambling by offering bonuses for deposits made into gambling accounts using their Bank.
Gambling ads cannot be avoided in any way. And children are now addicted to mobile phones to a large extent, due to which they are constantly exposed to gambling promotional videos. Although gambling ads are blocked for minors, most children use their parents' accounts, so gambling ads cannot be kept away from them. These are done to prevent parents from monitoring their children and allowing them to spend more time on electronic devices.
Parental supervision is very important if you see that your child is addicted to a cellphone, that is a bad thing and can kill their social skills if they are addicted to cellphones from an early age. As a parent, you should be able to restrict your child from any platforms that should be on your child's cellphone. There are also parental controls on the cellphone that can be used to control the smartphone your child is using so that they don't download random social media applications that are vulnerable to government supervision.

The government plays an important role in monitoring gambling advertising while parents directly monitor what their children do with their cellphones. This could be the best solution we can do now to keep children from getting into gambling before they are ready.

How can social media platforms help protect children from seeing gambling ads?
The way underage are being exposed to adult contents these days is alarming, and if not checked, it will surely have repercussions. Gambling is for adults, and it should be targeted towards the same, and not otherwise. You will virtually see gambling ads everywhere now, so I don't think it's a simple task to curb. That is why parents should be up and doing in this and do more than before. Just as sex education is important, gamble education should start immediately, to sensitise the children before it becomes an issue for them.

About the social media, well, the exposure and effect could be lessened if parents ensure that their children are limited to some contents only. And better still, have child-inclined contents only. Australia is now banning below 16 years on social media, which is a good way to go.

Lastly, the world government should mandate all social media to have children's version, or have a place to indicate that it's underage viewing the content, so that they are careful of the traffic and pop ups they send there.

In my opinion, the way online casinos are promoting themselves on social media is a real threat to the next generation. If nothing is done, it could encourage children to choose gambling over learning and make decisions that might harm their future.

Its actually really worrying, social media has become such a big part of kids' lives today and seeing gambling ads all over is very dangerous. platforms could do more, like making sure gambling content is only shown to adults, adding better age checks or even limiting these ads altogether. They could also work with parents and schools to educate kids about the risks, so its not just about blocking ads but helping make them smarter choices. If nothing changes, early exposure could really affect how kids think about money and risk in the future.

How can social media platforms help protect children from seeing gambling ads?
Children should always be under parental supervision, as parents are solely responsible for their children's future development. Technological advancements are inevitable, and some gambling platforms are capitalizing on this growth to promote their platforms, attracting many gambling enthusiasts. In this regard, parents are to blame for neglecting to supervise their children. Today's mobile phones have parental control features. By enabling these features, gambling ads or 18+ content are typically not displayed on mobile phones, ensuring children's safety.
