Sticking to limits in gambling is extremely difficult. I remember constantly wanting to raise the limits and then breaking them, especially when I wanted to win back quickly so as not to leave with a smaller balance than before. Now I understand how it all works, including my brain, which doesn't want to accept bad results. Addiction should not always be attach to greediness and discipline alone but also to the instinct you have in joining gambling in the first place. You're right about that last part, and I truly agree. In my personal assessment, a person starts becoming a real addict once that 'addiction' takes root and gradually takes over the gambler or casino player.

From my understanding one thing must lead to another because if you don't give your brain the reason to function like that it will not, it starts with greed and love of money, if you don't need more money after you must have won and start chasing your wins uncontrollably thinking which has now become greed you win not be addicted.

Gamblers that gambles responsibly hardly falls into that trap of addiction,and at time it might be hereditary from your family with addiction problem or being introduced at an early age to gambling .
