This is a little different from how the computer gets compromised using this spoofed, I mean do the computer already compromised before even the transaction happened, so meaning he already made a mistake somewhere that is why the laptop is already hack in the first place, so the hacker easily could make some chances and tricking him into sending the funds into a similar address, I don't know how that works, but if that was possible it is for sure easy to spot if you just give the time to double check everytime.

Why do people scam in the first place, it is simply because they believe that with scamming others, it gives them the possibility of making huge amounts of money quickly without having to spend long term planning or building it, not necessarily because it is even easier to get, which are also factors many do consider, however I don’t think making the punishment harsher like some people here suggested is the solution to the problem. I think what can even be more effective is the ability for people to be more certain about being caught is more important to scaring people away from doing the act than even increasing the punishment which is certainly another reason to make people stop but not completely stop. For example if a scammer believe he can steal 100 of millions and probably never get caught or identified then the scammer may choose not to sto despite knowing the severity of the punishment when causght. So intensifying the process of identifying and bursting their strategies including through creating awareness of their tactics will really go a long way to prevent a lot more people from scamming rather than intensifying their punishment and leaving the system susceptible to various forms of scams.

Yeah it is wrong for you to talk to people you don't know online, there was a time when I had issues with an exchange I was using and I came to complain about the issue on the exchange comment section in one of there X post, someone chatted me up and said he's the exchange staff that handles the matter that I complained about, I did not reply him because I don't know them and the account he used is not the exchange official account on X.
