~snip~
Crime doesn't pay.

Crime doesn't pay. How I wish all these scammers would get to know that, no matter how smart they think they are, a day would come when they would make that stupid mistake, and they would be caught, that ends it for them in years in prison for the gravity of the crime they committed against humanity. They will serve it all in prison whether they are young or old. No exception to that since they have the mind to scam their fellow human beings without having a conscience of what becomes of those they scam, who buy into their scam trick.

Even though he was smart enough to scam that many people, he was not mature enough, as seen from how he bragged about his crimes to the public and even got involved in gambling which made him lose a lot of money.

But that's how it is, as the saying goes, no matter how clever a squirrel jumps, it will eventually fall, and he got the reward for the crimes he committed and it will most likely teach him a bitter lesson that no matter how smart you are, you can still fall because of your own stupidity.

Crime doesn't pay.
There is a saying that, the thieves have hundreds but one day is for the owner. To explain this simply is that why the thief- not limited to everyone involved in an illegal activity my seen to be smart, having a field day in their activites and seem successful, they will eventually get caught. It may time many years but they cannot escape the long arms of the law. This is why I laugh when someone thinks that they have scammed me or played a fast one on me or some other hardworking honest people. What I know is that their end is near. This 23 year old dude has ended his own life and career because of greed.
Indeed, I can't say that every crime has a payday.

What surprises me is how often people still fall for fake support, exchanges repeat it all the time they will never ask you to send funds, age has nothing to do with it some scammers are young some are old, the common part is greed and thinking you are smarter than everyone else.
Scammers think fast way ahead of you, they are normal people like me and you, they will think the same way we will think and also look for way to deceive people because he knows what they want, if he/she can disguise as customer support that will chat you online or through social media, they can s am you anytime.

Social media is not a place to ask for support about any platform or exchanges even if it is in their official page because scammers will do everything possible to create a fake account, register the accounts, verify the account to look real just to scam people; so let’s be very careful to avoid getting scammed.

Crime doesn't pay.
Haha, what a tragedy and audacity by him sharing his story in his own channel, thinking he owns it, so his followers are also owned by him, haha, why would he make such a mistake, what is immature really, and he lost $6 million from that in gambling?

Like, really, this dude made a good amount of money. I am not because he stole the amount yet, but the amount was more than enough for him, and he still give gambling a chance! Like what an idiot, and I am glad that he got caught and will be facing charges now, because I can't say what he would do in his remaining life if he had not been caught now.

"Lolimfeelingevil" aka Ronald Spektor is not like your average online scammer.

You could justify this by saying that he made this mistake because he is just a boy of 23 years old, no older person will make such mistakes, but trust me, mistakes knows no age, there are mistakes for every ages, no matter how smart you are at stealing you will make mistake one day and get caught. Crime gets you there very quickly and it will pull the plug on you very fast when the time is right.

Crime doesn't pay.
I believe that no crime can live peacefully with wealth obtained from the hard work of victims. There are always actions that force them to deal with the law to take responsibility for their actions.
The great abilities of this figure, even though he is still young, are misplaced. There are still many young people who have abilities that exceed his, but do not yet have a place to channel their talents.

Ronald Spektor is one of those who ultimately used his abilities to deceive people. Before the emergence of a new Ronald Spektor, the government or anyone in power needs to utilize this to stay on the right track.

I think that this is something that has to do with our (capitalist) culture. We're taught, many times subconsciously, that money and success are the most valuable things in life, and in that blindness, many people get lost.

What good is all that money to anyone, if he will live in fear of being caught all his life? What good is all that money to the protagonist of the OP, if he will spend the best years of his life in prison?

Crime doesn't pay, but that is not what those who practice it want to hear.

I totally agree with that. Justifying crimes is one thing, and accepting the fact that society creates the criminals who commit those crimes is another, and I also accept that society makes people what they become, and even though we don't justify a crime that someone does, we can't ignore the underlying reality of why they did it in the first place, how does a child who knows nothing about this world when he's born grows up to become a criminal and be ready to do anything only for money? Well, they learn those things along the way, from what they see and observe and eventually learn.

The world around us, and the people who are unfortunately influential in the world, keep telling us all the time that money is what we need in this world, so we should focus on making money all the time. Some even say that we shouldn't study or waste our time and money on getting degrees or gaining education, but we should start gaining experience about things that we can use in practical life, and all these things contribute in making someone do evil things because if they don't find any other way to make money, they will resort to using illegal methods.

Crime doesn't pay.
Everyone makes mistakes, so it's not necessarily something for only criminal master minds. Though most of the time they easily get away with the criminal but just as life would have it, the laws of karma has to play out. I don't see how age affects Thier thinking to the extent of exposing their self. Theres this feeling of excitement after they successfully carry out their heist and it seems to them like they are on top of the world( I've not experienced it before but seen many of such in the movies).. he's even a gambler and I'll say an addicted one because, $6 million is a huge amount to lose to some casino.

$6 million lost to gambling is just pure insanity, he probably thought he was a genius after pulling off the phishing scam and figured his luck would never run out, addiction doesn't care if the money is yours or stolen it just wants more action until there is nothing left xd

"Lolimfeelingevil" aka Ronald Spektor is not like your average online scammer.

This 23 years old boy successfully stolen $16 million from 100 coinbase users by using phishing and social engineering scheme, he will pretend to be a Coinbase representative and start convincing people to send cryptocurrency to accounts that he controls.

His main trick is to tell victims that their coins are at a greater risk of being stolen by a hacker to make them feel imbalance and scared, he will then launder the assets using

Mixers, Swapping services, and Crypto gambling websites.

ZachXBT have been on this case for a year now, as a professional as he is it becomes extremely hard to tail this boy. Luckily this boy made a mistake by himself, he publicly bragged about his schemes within a channel on telegram called "Blockchain Enemies", he even said that he lost $6 million to gambling.

It was one of his victims that contacted ZachXBT and since then the hunt was on, now he is apprehended and facing 31 charges including

First degree grand larceny, first degree money laundering, and participating in scheme to defraud.

Obviously crime doesn’t pay which is why when I hear that people have actually done something associated with crime doesn’t make me happy at all, I really don’t understand how an 23 years old will steal such a huge amount of money from people and not even think otherwise about other peoples business and predicament it is usually a bad scenario and preposition.

Stealing isn’t very good, and it has never been good and I really don’t like a situation where young people have to get themselves involve in such a scam, and most of all this are quite romance scam, and romance scam isn’t good because people’s feelings are hurt and they’re destroyed and most people dies from this situation.

Crime doesn't pay.
Sometimes some people always don't think clearly which makes the situation unfavorable for themselves at the end but on the one hand we also don't limit the situation that happens like this.

I'm not going to normalize this because evil is still evil but in the end we also can't avoid it because at this time some people definitely don't have good intentions and one of the examples is the one presented by you OP.
It all depends on the intentions no matter the age, gender popularity, or beliefs everything will remain the same where conditions like this have always been a disease.

Well, at least he got apprehended and brought to justice. There are still hundreds or thousands or people out there who are professional scammers and they are very unlikely to get caught in the lifetime. Scammers from South Asia are specially difficult to catch, because of the geographical distance between Europe/America and Asia.

Unfortunately, if crime would not pay, then there would not be so many scammers out there, while there is a minority which get caught, there is a majority who may never get caught and will continue to scam until their have enough money to retire early.

merit for the reality check, we are sitting at 88k right now but we were over 120k just two months ago, if a shop owner didnt sell for fiat immediately they basically lost 30% of their revenue to the void, unless they use a payment processor that converts instantly they are just gambling with their business survival, dyor before you open a store lol

This is another story to prove that anonymity isn’t immunity we all in the crypto space need to know that. You might stay ahead for a while but eventually something small gives you away, most of the times it's your own mouth.

Short-term gains, long-term consequences. Bitcoin rewards patience and transparency far more than deception ever will. Crime doesn’t pay, it only delays the bill. I just hope that we all learnt from this.

The truth about criminals is that once they get the money to a certain level they don't care about being caught as much as they were in the early stage, they become too comfortable to do it and thinking they have become masters but because they are drunk in success they or wealth gather through this means, they immediately turn themselves to public figures by showing of their wealth.

Crime or crypto scam wil never end but who ever is caught will pay dearly for both what he did and what others did  the 23 years old boy is not the first to have done it and his not going to be the last phishing scam is just too much this days. and the amounts made for it is so insane that you can't discourage some young people influenced by the Instagram lifestyle to not join if they have the opportunity that's the problem we keep facing.

Oh shoot man, I just watched roofman last night and thought about how happy I am that I am not into any sort of schemes that lead to something like this. I value my freedom and I can't bring myself to steal anything from anyone for ethical reasons but also because dealing in that kind of shady business will get you locked up for life. I don't know about you but I want to live my life on my terms and I don't ever want to be on the run or trying to hide from fear that one day I woudl be caught scheemin!!!! Peace sleeping at night and the feeling of home with family is something that is priceless. But I suppose if you're on your own got nothing to lose and are in it for the thrill i'm sure its hella fun and you get a rush and feel like you're invincible. Until you're not and the police raid your daughters birthday party in pursuit of you because you're a criminal and you lose your family and end up in jail and ayways .. go watch roof man on netflix and see what happens to him lol

Crime doesn't pay.

Crime does pay, actually. Getting caught or getting killed are the only downsides. That is why, in a society where the system doesn't do its best to fight crime, there are many criminals in various forms. So many criminals are out there that are successful and living a good life with their families, so yeah, crime does pay. Putting yourself and your family at risk for that money is where the problem is. A lot more people would be criminals if the system allows it.

This is what I always say crime doesn’t pay. You might get away with it for While but trust me you’ll definitely be caught someday Just as you think he made mistake by bragging about losing $6m to gambling, that was such a dumb idea to even mention.

At such a tender age such money could have either shape him in becoming a great personality but he went through the wrong direction by gambling with as much as $6m thats not a small money honestly.

I hope he learnt from his mistakes and other too because young boys make money from fraudulent act and lose it to gambling or Ponzi scheme. But then I'm not in support of any crime I'm just saying when young folk get such money they should do something that may create jobs and bust our economy.

Example of Lolimfeelingevil shows that nothing is perfect crime. He used social engineering to make people believe that their money was being stolen, which made them make emotional and not logical decision and sent him their crypto.
Even though he tried to hide money through mixers and swapping services, such investigators as ZachXBT can track these online traces through permanent record of blockchain. Greatest mistake Spektor made was bragging about his crimes on Telegram to get attention, as it shows that it is not only age but also pride that makes one be caught. His life has been stopped by fact that he is facing 31 serious charges and the irony of his situation is seen by fact that he lost stolen money of 6 million to gambling. And yes this case is lesson that crime does not pay at all since although you may live fast life in tshort run, reality will finally come to haunt you.
