I've never really heard of or searched for books related to gambling, it's not something on my list, aside from the ones shared by the OP. I don't actually need any of them anytime soon. But for those who are really into gambling and also happen to be bookworms, they might find these interesting.

Honestly, even though I am a gambler and have been gambling for a long time because I started a few years ago but it seems like this condition I often skip because until now I haven't even read a single book related to gambling but looking at some of the references you gave it seems that the condition that the author wants to refer to is not necessarily directly to gambling.

I'm sure if you look at the synopsis it can still be used for some methods in gambling but it doesn't really fit the title because it doesn't directly discuss gambling explicitly.

I’m into gambling, but I don’t really feel the need to read a book just to understand what I’m doing. I already know there’s a good chance I’ll lose anyway, so why waste time reading if the outcome is likely the same. Sometimes those books even push people to gamble more, just to test whether the method actually works.

For me, the first thing we should learn is risk management.

Whether we end up profitable or not, at least we won’t fall into addiction if we build discipline first.

My picks would be Kahneman's Thinking, Fast and Slow, Taleb's The Black Swan, and I've started now reading Fooled by Randomness, by Taleb too.

Taleb's books are excellent. I also recently came across Julien_Olynpic's post, which made me want to read this book, which he also mentioned. Taleb's philosophy always requires repeated readings, as each time there's a feeling that everything we previously knew is completely contradicted by what we've just read.

I never thought of reading a book to improve your gambling skill. Because of the internet revolution, all the information related to gambling is available on the internet, and it's quite easy to search. Even without gambling, I think very rarely we read books nowadays since we can learn by a single tap from the mobile devices or PC. But it's true you might get knowledge by reading books related to gambling, and I believe these books would be found on the web as well.

However, reading books won't change your winning chance, but you may learn risk management that would reduce the losing risk. Because I believe gambling, especially in casinos, depends on your luck. But for betting, your experience and skill would help a lot to increase your winning chances. But still we can't ignore the luck; sometimes your good team would lose as well.

I'm not someone who's into reading books on gambling/betting because I believe gambling is a matter of luck and risk that can't be fully controlled, not a science that can be learned. Betting, on the other hand, is about analyzing the game, which can affect your chances of winning. Therefore, for that reason, I don't find it particularly important to read gambling books. I'm not saying they're unimportant, but I just don't find them particularly worthwhile. However, if it's about managing emotions and managing money, it might still be relevant and useful to read.

Some books on gambling have strategies that you can apply to gambling, they explain what these strategies are in details and how they can be used but this doesn't mean that it is guaranteed. personally I don't feel the need to read books on gambling because it's easier to learn from others and just exploring than sitting down to read a book about gambling. No knowledge is wasted so if you are interested in reading such books you can do so just make sure you dont end up spending too much money to gain access to it

In as much as gambling deals with probability ratio so having an understanding about probability may be helpful in taking decisions in your gambling history. But I don't think that just knowing mathematics knowledge is enough for any gambler which is ready to make it big in gambling. You have to know that sport is different from just knowing mathematical equations so in as much as I will recommend for people to read about such books to me as an individual is not necessary because that is not going to affect the outcome of the results that will be played.

Books on gambling aren't really worth reading because they are things that you can learn easily without reading any of those books. people sell those materials just to make money and it is nothing beyond that. betting can be learned just by looking at what others are doing and also exploring gambling sites. These informations are free and you don't have to pay to gain access to them

I came across a guys page on tiktok and in the video I watched he advertised a gambling manual of a punter or bet expert, that was a paid ad he was running and in the comment section lots of people were eager to get the book. I was a bit confused because I kept on asking myself what they actually need the book for when they can actually learn how to place bets on their own. in my beginning stages I didn't really need such materials, all I did was just to bet and overtime I began to understand it

I don't think there's any harm in reading books about gambling if it's just to broaden your knowledge, but you shouldn't blindly believe everything written. Especially when it comes to winning betting strategies, you need to have a filter to filter out relevant information. I think that nowadays, with the convenience offered by AI, we can more easily find the information we need. This can save time and provide us with more up to date information.

What should be relevant about gambling books are the rules to safeguard yourself whenever the urge of addiction comes in, how to spot your limit, and how to reduce the amount whenever winnings and too much loses occur, stuffs like that should be written by many authors.

Any author claiming to have known the secret to winning in casino or sportsbet should be ignored, thats possibly a lie by misleading the readers, i will personally not buy for my kids.

I have no need to read books to gamble and learn gambling techniques. I am not a professional gambler, so I will not gamble regularly and will not spend much time on gambling, this is normal, and I think it will be unnecessary for most people. In gambling, which depends on luck, the lines of the book may not be very effective in reality. It can only help to control and discipline yourself. Most of the people who can spend time on reading books will try to refrain from gambling. Because, professional gamblers will not have much time to read books.

I will advise you to try and read books on gambling and how the professional gamblers in the past were able to help themselves to become a profitable gamblers. You can also learn some gambling strategies from reading gambling related books to strengthened your gambling relation so that you don't have to be losing money for no reason due to your misunderstanding about how to be profitable as gamblers.

There's no use in that because gambling games and it's outcomes ain't like usual maths where anywhere in the world 1+1=2 any day. That you read what past gamblers may have written as strategy wouldn't guarantee that you would make any profit with your gambling activities. All those books could even grow some negative confidence that could lead to a gambler's doom into addiction. I'll just concentrate on my personal gambling lifestyle and stay responsible at it without having to adopt anyone's gambling life experience which can't be same with mine.

What most gamnlers used to face is the fear to utilize what they have learned from gambling. This is why we can see people that have the good knowledge in gambling but without any experience because they can not utilize it. Indeed, it will depends on how you execute the ideas and how you deal with your understanding those who collect great ideas and follow the patterns correctly are mostly prevents themselves regretting their gambling involvement, while those who failed to process mostly ends up losing a lot, shared ideas thru books or any means of information gives you basis it's either to take it seriously or face the consequences that may lead you to lose more than what you can afford to let go.
