As the topic says how Is December market for y'all, I have heard alot if traders tell me that it is not good to trade in December, especially the forex market, because it is not balance and you are at risk of more SL's
but I do feel that it's just a myth and it's not actually A real thing, I feel the market is the same as other month, the only difference is the holidays

So what do you guys think about it, is it actually true or it's just an assumption.

Many people take vacations and the like at the end of the year. So there may also be many traders who take a break from trading. This can sometimes lead to an unpredictable market. It will be similar to every seventh day of the week. The difference is that at the end of the year, every day will feel like a Sunday. So we have to be more careful.
And in fact, for those of us heavily involved in market trading, we can already feel that the decline in trading volume has truly begun, even as early as October into November. So it’s no surprise that by the end of the year, it could decline further. The market feels slower and heavier than usual.

Trading can be profitable anytime be it holidays or not. December wouldn't change anything in the price movement of bitcoin. You can make profit on Christmas day if you choose to trade on that day and know what you're doing.

Trading is either favorable or not so holiday or season does not have anything to do with December and what ever season it might be you can trade. And one thing about the market is that they are gainers and there are losesers, so one way or the other the market will favor any of the parties and there people that will make profit when people are losing money others are making money.

Trading is not easy as you think and very risky. Only trade with the amount of money that you can afford to lose and don't depend on luck.

We know that trading is not easy but consistency makes a lot of sense because that is the only way you can make money from market  Is too be serious because that is the only way you can make money from it, because you Will get more experience from consistenct trading.

From experience, the average month of December does not increase much, usually only 4.6%, even though the overall quarter shows a bullish trend, but for me the market this month is not good for Bitcoin, that's my view.

In theory we can understand that December trading volume is very low, maybe it also has something to do with Christmas, logically it can be seen that many investors choose to take vacation time and rest, so trading activity will decrease, meaning this December the market will be less efficient for Bitcoin and its use.

There is no way to say that the trading market will be the same continuously. It is normal for there to be some differences in December compared to other months of the year. Usually, there is a slight downward trend in the Forex market at this time of the year, the crypto market would have seen a huge positive trend in other years. But this year crypto is not following its previous trend. There will be such a mixed reaction in the market. Usually, most people try to take a break from their business or other activities in this month of the year. Many individual and institutional investors take a break from their business this month. Therefore, although there is some impact on the market, no major changes should be expected.

Still have 5 days left before December and the market not any good progress yet how bitcoin difficult decline above $100k and most of altcoin still at downtrend price, over with my expectation for December month due market keep downtrend moment and I have expected for bitcoin break out and give chance for altcoin getting recovery return to higher price. I don't think 5 days left of December will make bitcoin raise up more or altcoin back to higher price before bitcoin get crash, its little chance for bitcoin as usually get several days or several weeks get up to higher price.
Forget with December month about the market condition and lest prepare new planning for next year, where the side have to start invest and accumulate bitcoin since the early year or have to wait for several weeks later possibility bitcoin will correction any more.

For me, if you're a good trader, it doesn't matter what the month is. I don't think that the month is a big factor when you're a professional trader already whether you're in forex, or stock, or even in cryptocurrencies.

Now with regards to having more SL's than TP's, I think the problem isn't with the month you're trading, but with the strategy that you're using. I mean I've seen traders who are making money consistently every month. Based on my experience though, I don't see the month a big factor, but it's my strategy that's the problem and the reason why I'm losing money. That myth is just a myth and if you will tell those to pro traders, they might just laugh at you knowing that they're making money consistently.

As for the month of December, it's been disappointing as always. Sideways movement for the majority of the month is what we've seen. This Q4 of 2025 is the worst one that I've seen ever since I'm into cryptocurrency. Well, I wonder what will the Q1 of 2026 will give to us. Do we see a huge pump to the upside and possibly reaching new ATHs, a relief bounce before the major downwards movement or no relief bounces anymore towards the $100,000 and will just simply go straight to the lows of $60,000 or even below.

It's impossible for Bitcoin and the market to make everyone happy within 31 days or several last days of each December but if people can hold their coins for several December months, Bitcoin will make them happy.

Holding Bitcoin for several December months means people hold their bitcoins for some years and it's clearly that with Bitcoin, if you can hold coins for 4 to 5 years, profit comes and risk of loss disappears. It is minimal holding time to avoid loss and start getting profit but if you can hold your coins more than 5 years, in other words more than 5 Decembers, your profit will be better.

Dont know about the others but bitcoin is trading at a lower side of 85-87k USD and it is not catching back up to 100k USD soon enough to make the moon people happy again.

Guess it is going to be like this till the end of the year and then next year we will see some big rise in movement.

For now just hold and have fun for the holidays, dont be an ass selling it at this price and wait it out.

The reason why some people always treat December differently from other months is because of their bad experience in the market. That makes them treat December differently, and they warn some sets of people not to trade in December because people hardly make profits in December. But the truth is that it is an assumption; it is not something that always happens. In fact, let it be known that the crypto market is always unpredictable. Someone can say this is where they think the market will go, but it will go in a different direction. See what happened in October. October is always a better month for crypto, as prices usually increase, but this time around the market did not go as it always does. And that is how the market will continue to be; it will always be unpredictable.

I have never heard of such believe or assumption that its not good to trade in or during December, I also believe that December is just the same as other months with slight difference which is the holiday just as you have said.
But on the other hand, it's in terms of investment that I've always been very careful because in some December, prices of assets tends to drop more possibly due to some persons around the world that might be selling and withdrawimg money to spend for the festive season, this is for those investing, but for traders, I think profiting in this type of market is simply based on how professional a trader trades, since profit can be made from both sides, market dumps and market highs, it's up to the trader to make a good analysis and know which side of the market to trade on.

It can't be a myth because at this time of the year, many big institutions and companies wants to close their financial books in other words they want to clear them, so they could know what they made, what they lost, like an audit but how that affects the market is with liquidity as this month brings lesser liquidity.

But now it does not matter we are in forex or not, because same rules are being used on both sides, and I think the liquidity is too low this month than the October and November, but we can expect a pump next month but that's just my assumption.

Bitcoin has a terrible Q4 2025, not only December 2025, and with latest rate cut rounds from FED as well as stop of QT and somewhat start of QE, the next year 2026 would be better for Bitcoin market particularly and cryptocurrency market generally. This market is still young, with considerable smaller total market cap than traditional markets, and by that it has higher volatility.

This means people still consider this market as a more risky market than traditional ones, therefore in times they smell risk in economy globally and in financial markets, they will not spend money into assets in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency market.

The stop of QT and start of QE might possibly trigger a good recovery if not a new bull run for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency market in 2026.

Money are escaping to precious metal because that is what happen when people think their investment already reached top and they want to rotate. As it happens, US M2 money supply keep rising on an alarming rate that people prefer to stockpile the gold so it doesn't help bitcoin either.
It's apparent that bitcoin is lagging behind but so does bitcoin before the most recent ATH. It lags behind equities and it catches up later. We just need to wait for the moment when bitcoin will shine and I expect that to happen after gold's top is in.
