https://x.com/pete_rizzo_/status/2003065129987158218The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama, has announced that cryptocurrency trading has been legalised in Ghana following the passage of the Virtual Asset Service Providers Bill, 2025, into law.
He explained that the new legislation, commonly referred to as the crypto law, provides a formal regulatory framework to supervise virtual asset activities and manage the risks associated with digital currencies.
So Ghana is another nation that legalised crypto law with clear regulatory frame and to give their consumers protections as we all know that crypto is a wild wild west out there. At least with this kind of regulation there could be someone to monitor everything from the government.
I know that there could be majority who doesn't want full crypto regulations coming from the government, but at least there could be a trade-off as we might have "protection" from scammers and fraudster.
