Hello my local board members I came across this news today where I saw a list of how many people in different countries accept or use Bitcoin. The country where the highest number of people use Bitcoin is India, a country in Asia, with about ninety-three million people using Bitcoin.

It can be said that they are the leaders in the use of digital currencies, but accordingly, our Nigeria is not far behind. The current position of this country is number 4, that is,18 million of our Nigerian population are using Bitcoin. This is undoubtedly a positive sign because the use of digital currencies is increasing day by day, which may be creating an alternative financial system for the people of this country.

It is hoped that the currency will become more widely used in Nigeria in the future.

Number of people who own #Bitcoin:
1.  India: 93M
2. United States: 46M
3. China: 41M
4. Nigeria: 18M
5. Vietnam: 17M
6. Indonesia: 14M
7. Turkey: 12M
8. Philippines: 10M
9. Brazil: 9M
10. Pakistan: 7M
11. Mexico: 7M
12. Argentina: 7M
13. South Africa: 6M
14. Thailand: 5M
15. Russia: 5M
16. Egypt: 4.5M
17. South Korea: 4.5M
18. Ukraine: 4M
19. Colombia: 4M
20. Spain: 3.5M
21. 🇬🇧 United Kingdom: 3.5M
22. 🇮🇷 Iran: 3.5M
23. 🇫🇷 France: 3M
24. 🇯🇵 Japan: 3M
25. 🇩🇪 Germany: 2.8M

Based on this information given, I think your topic should have read the position of Nigeria among the countries using Bitcoin, instead of bitcoin owners in Nigeria. However, it is a good news to see Nigeria in the 4th position. This shows how Nigeria is embracing the technology behind digital currency (bitcoin) and how we are really making exploit. Nigerians embracing bitcoin has offered us many advantages, ranging from reducing inflation and decentralization to investment asset.

Haven gone this far in the use of bitcoin, the federal government of Nigeria should do us the favour of adopting bitcoin and even make it a legal tender here in Nigeria. If this is achieved, the confidence of Nigeria bitcoin investors will be very strong and boosted.

Nigeria is one of the leading countries when it comes to the use of crypto currency and am not particularly surprised about this records that, Nigeria has held in the global ranking when it comes to crypto currency usage in the world. Bitcoin is one thing that Nigeria has come to live and accept because Bitcoin is simple to use and has made payment especially among the Nigerian population that are into business easy. Bitcoin is redefining the Nigerian society because over time more people are beginning to see the need for them to use Bitcoin because of the simple way that Bitcoin operates.

I see more Nigerians adapting Bitcoin because there is a rapid level of enlightenement that is going on in the country about crypto currency it's use and the benefits that comes to those who has adopted the use of crypto currency.

That's great, I've done some research too and found 23 million crypto users in Nigeria, actually these results are rather estimates from various information sources but the good things is that a good percentage of Nigerians are using crypto for both transactional and trading services and it is soothing to know that the citizens are getting more involves and moving with the crypto trend regardless of our government not being very friendly towards cryptocurrency use in the country.
How can you back this claim up? Is there any data that will be used to back this up? Because we can’t say how many people are Bitcoin holders in Nigeria. Centralized exchanges can give some data but some of us are using decentralized exchanges and some of us are using personal wallets and even though most of us are using exchanges to buy Bitcoin, exchanges cannot get the exact record of holders or number of Bitcoin sent out to personal wallets.

All I know is that l, Nigeria is among the leading countries in Africa that have Bitcoin holders, Bitcoin enthusiasts, and Bitcoin users based on how we are active in the forum and how literate we are with tech and Internet.

.
About 68% of Nigeria's population directly or indirectly uses bitcoin, making it the world's largest user base.

IntelPoint
Total crypto users 26M+
Total bitcoin users 18-20M+

The ops is right since he mentioned bitcoin specifically not the entire Nigeria cryptocurrency volume, the fact is that Nigeria could have been the center of bitcoin and cryptocurrency usage and volume if the government have taken the right step to adopt cryptocurrency instead caricature ban their hard on bitcoin and cryptocurrency that draw back the formal usage and wide adoption of cryptocurrency in Nigeria.

18-20 million usersbase for bitcoin in in country that previously ban bitcoin is somewhat incredible number already but we must note that thaz number consists both bitcoin and other cryptocurrency like stablecoin usage.

it is in deed a good thing to see that Nigerian is ranked 4th among the country that uses bitcoin the most. This statistics maybe correct, it can also be false. I do believe this statistics maybe current because looking at what inflation is doing to our local currency many Nigerians may find it difficult to save there money in our local currency. Therefore, they will prefer to hold bitcoin since it has proven to be a good store of value and a hedge against inflation.
