Are we losing our Valueable members?

Nice observation indeed. Life and it's happening, just wondering what could be the major reason of this losses of great minds building great minds. A lot of life assumptions to why this losses and the one that doesn't leave any chance of a come back is death which is painful.
Looking at the forum, a newbie can easily declare that projects here are all gambling projects and that's to say that gambling projects has actually dominated the forum. For me that not a big deal anyways but balance chances makes sense for those that are not comfortable with gambling projects.

Aside from reasons why people leave the forum. I want you to belive that there are plenty of opportunities outside the forum. Some people can get good gigs bigger than what the forum presents them as a earning, they can Leave for this forum and try other things instead of running after some weekly pay before they get job in the forum, you can get job outside by a person that is not living in the forum forum, he will want your attention off here to leave the forum, such people are around everywhere.

Considering that there are no high payment work like before, I personally saw people making $150 or more during the mixers time but now, there is no casino with such pay rate. Some members will go for opportunities that will make them make more money. Just imagine that you had a fun time with a company that offers you 4 times your salary with a 4 years duration, there are more benefits and it's a remote one, I'm sure you will not think twice before you dismissed from here.

Honestly, I enjoyed those days and I wish I could return there . Yes, I think it's better because I am not even a Hero member yet, amidst all my experience in the forum.

Indeed good people have left, as well as memories but I believe great things are not all in the past

This is just my point of view, and that can be wrong. How many of you guys agree and disagree with me? Maybe this can be the reason users are losing their interest on Bitcointalk. Is that possible? CMIIW!

We can only speculate about why they left, why they never returned, or whether they plan to return. I don't think that all of them left because they couldn't find a good signature campaign.
But once a Bitcointalker, always a Bitcointalker, I'm sure they peek here from time to time to know how things are going here.
I notice some of the most prominent members who left are still in the top 200 posters; they are indeed impressive.

Life moves on, with or without us. Interests and priorities change, just as in real life, it's the human condition.

If Satoshi left this community, I really do see why none of us couldn't do the same.
The reason for Satoshi's departure was of paramount importance to Bitcoin's prosperity.
Each of our departures from this forum will be less relevant.
We would like each of us to continue to contribute to this community forever, but priorities, including OpSec, can change dramatically over time.
I think I will continue contributing to this forum for a long time, but things can change quickly, also against one's will.

Contributions have nothing to do with campaigns. Those who left the forum, there would be solid reasons; someone shared and someone did not share with the community. A few users passed away; sorry for them, and we miss their contributions to the forum. And a few people turned out with shady activities as well and eventually left the forum. I don't think any valuable users left the forum just for the gambling signature campaign. Because even if you search right now, there are a couple of users contributing to the forum who don't care about joining any campaigns. I don't want to tell any names; you can find them easily.

I don't like to create any controversy; those who left the forum, they have their own reasons. Unless they turned as a scammers or involved with shady activities, then I respect their thoughts behind the reason for leaving the forum. Valuable users are those who are active and don't like to join gambling signature campaigns; they might make fewer posts, but they still would contribute to the forum. Otherwise they won't be valuable right now; they were valuable once upon a time. I mean, just for the campaign reasons, any valuable members won't leave; they must have some other reason in their life.

Yeah, this thing has already been discussed above, and I agree with it. Everyone has some other things to do or has their other preference. But I shared my feelings here about what I feel and analysed. Because there are some users in my community that have not been here on the forum for a long time, and I know they do not join gambling projects due to some of their own reasons. But one thing I like in your post is that those users are the best community assets that still keep posting even though they are not enrolled in any signature campaign. They do post as to spend their time, or they consider it their duty that they should stay active whether they have a campaign or not.

I appreciate that you are not calling out those usernames. Yeah, I also know some of these users that are still active without having any signature campaign. They know themselves very well; they know their name and reputation, and believe me, many of them are big names in our BitcoinTalk community.

Many other epic things could be happening now but I don't feel them and I don't see them. I feel like I belong in the past. Can you remember you "Everything you wanted to know, but were afraid to ask threads"? I remember I visited those threads often to learn as a newbie. Who creates those types of threads again?
Can you remember the Beginners and help Encyclopaedia by Ratimov, who dares to attempt such now. If not that Ratimov was so heartless to have deleted such a thread (sad).
I haven't been here for long, but for the few years of my presence here, we as a community has lost more than we gained in terms of individuals expertise and quality.

A very valid point. The average comprehension of bitcoin has grown truly and also the need might have changed, but the only disadvantaged ones are the newbies who don't read old threads but are interested in ranking up as quick as possible in order to join campaigns.

That's just so right.

People can have different lives and they have more or less time budget for activities in the forum. From merit sources to non merit sources, members in the forum community can not spend a same time budget here forever. Sometimes they are more actively here and other times they are less actively or even inactively.

Merit sources can be actively with merit distributions, then months later they disappeared, no merit distributions at all.
Examples are like Welsh and vapourminer.

Welsh is one of forum staffs, and even has responsibility of moderating multiple boards. I think he was reaching to nearly global moderator role years ago but he almost disappeared from the forum, no posts, no merit distribution in many months until very recent months, he came back here with us.

vapourminer is another example, he turned from actively posting to inactively posting but his merit distribution style changed recent months.

The epic moments we experience in the current era needs closer observation to get noticed compared to those times where even newbies as of then took note of those adventures and understood how to blend from those experiences although I came in to read about most of them only experienced a few.
