There are still people doubting Bitcoin till this very moment, even after seeing how far Bitcoin has come. They call it a pyramid scheme, saying it will collapse one day, but since they said it till now, bitcoin is still standing tall and strong amongst the existing digital assets, and as a matter of fact, the most expensive and valuable coin/asset at the moment.

Nations also kicked against bitcoin; they called it names and linked it to be mostly used by men of the underworld to perpetrate their evil crimes, but today those same nations now look up to it as a national reserve, some even use it as a means of revenue generation by taxing transactions because they believe it could get them good profit for doing nothing.

How many times have we discussed about people who have changed their minds about BTC. There are so many people who had a negative opinion of BTC and changed their mind, some of them are popular like the one in the op, and others not so much.

I don't have anything against people who doubt BTC, i like to believe that people are free to decide what they want to invest in and if they don't think BTC should be a part of it, then that is fine. The good thing is that if such people spend sometime to study about BTC, rather than listen to what the mainstream media says, then they have a high chance of ending up as bitcoiners.

The funny thing is that I had two extremely good online gambling domain names (probably the best two out there) from 1994 and we ended up selling them around 1999 because of the legal issues and they went to people outside the US because of that.  Today though, they are worth a ton because in some areas online gambling is legalized.  So he wasn't wrong about bitcoin going the way of online gambling, just like online gambling, bitcoin eventually got some of the respect that it deserved.

There will always be that time when we doubt Bitcoin, especially when we see big people from the financial firm industries posting stuff like this. It's just a normal reaction for someone who's new to Bitcoin, and doubts, fear, and anxiety are a normal reaction. However, in every investment form, there are always risks associated with it. People tend to post in the social media to create fear and to validate their point.

In this case, Michael could have deliberately posted this to create fear, so he'll be able to buy at a lower price after Bitcoin hit $1k on November of 2013. From there, he might have developed an idea that Bitcoin has a brighter future than any other investment in the market.

The negative words and thoughts of falling prices, investor fear, and ordinary holders’ doubts are what help big whales like Michael Saylor to permanently swallow Bitcoin. So instead of acting as doubt on their behalf, it should be a characteristic of a real holder to remain steadfast in accepting Bitcoin’s inherent volatility.

To be honest, some of the people who form groups and spread these noise campaigns may be continuously collecting and holding Bitcoin with double the enthusiasm and double the speed.

The people who doubting it are the people who have taken firm stance to hate bitcoin and they just can't find the good in bitcoin.
Even saylor changes his opinion and on the side of bitcoin, moreover there are tons of instutitional investors tokenizing their asset as we are speaking and many of them bought bitcoin to diversify.

Doubting on bitcoin in 2025 seems like the biggest fumble anyone can have, even worse if they hold on to fiat where value just keep going down. I guess some people are fated to be on the wrong side of history.

And people that are doubting bitcoin are still leaving behind and I don't blame them this is because they don't have access to information that is why they are doubting bitcoin. And one of the things people are scared of losing there money and this is because they don't even have money to invest, and we know that for a very long time now there assumptions have not come to pass some of them still think it is ponzi scheme a lot of people just have there own interpretation about bitcoin investment.

And when nation were kicking against it other nations were busy taking advantage of the whole situation and if it is about evil crimes, fiat is worst, because what people use money for you won't believe, we know that people use bitcoin to but we all have different intentions and some countries that invested only wanted to use it as a plan B to experiment if they will be to use bitcoin to also boost there economy. And some countries are actually taxing people heavily for involvement in bitcoin and that is why most bitcoin lover are moving to countries that are free of tax.

Time can mold anything, and we are talking about people here, with time and consistent good results people can be bent, not that way, but they can be changed.

The time he made that statement, btc was full of doubts, uncertainties, and there was no life for it due to the doubt and confusion and lack of knowledge in the market, it was gambling, but in 2020 things were different, he bought at the time, when btc was cheap, later it rose to $60k. His company was making a lot of money ofc they have other sources too, and it was just a side income thing like an experiment which worked for them and did more publicity than anything else. They are spending on accumulating btc more than their own other businesses.

I never knew Micheal saylor once doubted Bitcoin, to the extend of even saying that "Bitcoin days are numbered", funny enough Micheal saylor company (strategy) is the company leading when it comes to co-operations entities  who are holding Bitcoin, the company is holds some reasonable amount of bitcoin as their strategic reserve.
Normally before now there were a lot of person's who first doubted Bitcoin, and they even criticized Bitcoin by saying a lot shits concerning Bitcoin, but today they now hold large amount of bitcoin in their wallets, why because they have seen the potentials that is in Bitcoin. Even Ray Dalio who recently twitter that Bitcoin can never be a reserve currency, is also holding Bitcoin.

This is how almost everyone that doubted Bitcoin will letter regret their actions because they got it wrong at the time they are supposed to use as an opportunity to buy more Bitcoin into their portfolio. Saylor is now a big Bitcoin holder, but he never believed he can accumulate enough Bitcoin like this because he doubted Bitcoin but has now regretted doubting Bitcoin because he could have gotten more Bitcoin then and would have been more influential then than he is now because he will be among the top holders.

LOL, he was not only wrong about Bitcoin, he was also dead wrong about 'Online Gambling'  . I must say he was wise enough to see the connection though as a major part of Bitcoin's success story is indeed because of online gambling.  

I love the fact that he quickly recognized his wrong habit about bitcoin and turn his perspective towards it, some people wouldve still be leaving in the dark and never admit his childish behaviour, it was skeptical to have seen how many online gambling comes and fail many followers, so bitcoin was literally seeming to be one of them in different form, lol.

They're making posts like what Michael did before to cause FUD.
Which leads to people selling in panic because a guy like him told them to stop and there's no future in Bitcoin.
Later on, these people who have blindly followed these personalities saw that they're now also holders and investors and even bigger than they have expected.

People who don't like investing in Bitcoin usually won't be on this forum, and even if they do, it's probably only for a short time before they leave without ever returning. Regarding people who dislike Bitcoin and Bitcoin investing, that's perfectly normal, as everyone has their own preferences and perspectives on how they view assets. Therefore, no one should force others to like Bitcoin or invest in Bitcoin, as these are personal choices. Each decision should be based on their own personal choices, without the interference of others.
