I know say this no be crypto related but it's very important that we be careful the types of links that we lick online especially when it's coming from strangers we don't know and even on group chats.

They can spend to get these contacts, which might be gotten through data breach the user had their contact information on. Also, they might get these through being same gc as the person or from hacking someone who has your contact account.

It is also happens to me when I wanted to order on Temu. As you fill in some information about you, the scammers will know your number and use it to contact you.

I thought about this for a while until I learnt that they have a software that they use to generate phone numbers randomly, they put these phone number together and start calling different people to try out their fraudulent schemes. a lot of Nigerians need to realize that most companies wouldn’t call you directly to deal with little issues like this.  Most people fall for such scams and i wonder why they refuse to be enlightened  or have the knowledge to avoid getting scammed by fake agents.

The truth is, when I receive unsolicited message, what I do is go straight to the point with that person and ask them who they are and if the person is beating around the bush, I will delete and block them. When a stranger message you like that, you should already have it at the back of your mind that it's likely a scam, so be careful not to click any link. I ignore most of the stange PMs I get on my social media accounts because majority are scammers.

Like this if I be scammer I fit just collect any of my friends phone say I wan check something, from their I fit collect people number wey dey important without your notice from their dey send those numbers message. Apart from that e get some Whatsapp group wey Dem fit add you wey you don drop your number for any giveaway and e fit be say one of your friends for their fit be scammer, him fit collect all those numbers dey enter ona one by one. Even for Facebook your number dey.
