Sleeping right now, expecting to wake up seeing Santa Claus gifting me a box on boxing day with a Bitcoin Private keys to a wallet holding a good amount of Bitcoin, I don't want to mention any amount of BTC precisely since I am wishing to get a gift I expect miracles to happen at least 2 BTC is enough for me for the Christmas, Sarcasm.

Considering only very few people know I am holding any Bitcoin or have a large interest in Bitcoin, I did not receive any this year.  And I rather not receive any, there are too many bad endings when people tell their friends and families about their Bitcoin.  There is always the way around by asking for Cash when people ask what your wish for this Christmas gift is and you have to only put that Cash in to Bitcoin your self.

Not to mention this may mean these people will end up submitting Know Your Customer documentation only to purchase a gift for me.  No.  Thank you.

Receiving Bitcoin as a gift this Christmas is one of the few things that I think can't be given to me. Friends and families I know would like to give the physical things that they know you can touch and remember them for, that they once gave you something for a Christmas gift. As for Bitcoin as a Christmas gift, I don't think many people have it in mind as what to give someone they know for Christmas. Such a thought hasn't crossed my mind in any way

I have never received bitcoin as Christmas gift neither have I gifted anyone bitcoin for Christmas this year. It would be nice if someone actually gifted me some satoshis but it’s Christmas. People don’t usually gift monetary gifts, they tend to give gifts that are personal not bitcoin, stocks or investment properties.

Have you ever received gold, silver, or stocks as gifts, or have you ever given such gifts to someone during Christmas and New Year? I guess almost none. Because those assets are seen as financial and investment tools, not something to consume or give as gifts on special occasions.

Similarly, bitcoin is a long-term store of value/investment, and I don't think anyone would use it as a gift. Moreover, I don't think that giving Bitcoin as a gift is meaningful or fits the spirit of Christmas. Gifts like candy, chocolate, and clothing will still be more meaningful and appropriate during these holidays.

I got a present from someone on the forum actually this month (thank you Trofo haha). Wasn't Christmas but might as well have been. I put it to good use almost immediately. Not a small amount of bitcoin actually, and anyone getting any in December feels like a favourable price to me.

So how many of you posters actually transacted any BTC this month?

Surely, I wouldn't mind if someone buys Bitcoin for me. I'd be very grateful. But as for me giving gifts, I'm giving fiat instead. And then there's really nobody to give Satoshis to. There's only a few in the family who's into Bitcoin. And other than the fact that there's not much for me myself, I don't want to appear as if I have much extra to give. I'm but a shrimp.

I didn't receive any bitcoin for Christmas this year. I've never received bitcoin for Christmas. But you can fix this unfortunate situation in my life.

I consider the gift of a bitcoin to be one of the best (if not the best) gifts. It's much better than giving money (which won't be kept in the long run or will be spent on all sorts of trivial things) or other silly, useless gifts (admittedly, that's often the case with gifts - giving something the recipient absolutely doesn't need, and the gift ends up gathering dust in a closet).

Of course, I would appreciate such a gift, even if it were a symbolic amount. This gift will be relevant even after many years, as its value will only increase.

If we're talking about gifting bitcoin to other people, they'll appreciate it, if not immediately, then over time. But most importantly, in my opinion, a BTC-gift can spark interest in bitcoin as a financial instrument and technology. Many people avoid bitcoin due to a lack of understanding of its nature, which can delay their initial introduction to btc. A BTC-gift can encourage people to start interacting with bitcoin. They'll want to experience bitcoin firsthand: test the wallet, try sending btc - and then they'll experience the magic of bitcoin.

Received none like anyone else . But being gifted bitcoin is as good as being gifted with gold if not better. Since the general stigma about bitcoin has been getting better, I bet everybody in this world will be happy if they received bitcoin.

Those physical bitcoin collectibles seems to be a banger for this kind of christmas gift. Just go very well with all the glitters.

Woah I would love that too if ever someone would send bitcoin as gift. But I think I would never use bitcoin to gift someone, this is something more unique for me and not practical example my parents they wouldn't appreciate it since they are not techie wise for this to understand and I will be having trouble explaining how it works to them. I remember those bitcoin coin circulating around here with bitcoin inside, that is something I wish to received with or to gain. Is there a seller for that too in here one that has sealed.

I have never received a Bitcoin gift on Christmas Day, but I would have been very happy if I had. But I bought a small amount of Bitcoin this Christmas Day and added it to my main holdings, which will be in a long-term holding. However, the best thing to do is to stick with Bitcoin purchases, and you can buy more Bitcoin on Christmas Day.

Majority of us Bitcoin users or holders would provably love receiving Bitcoin to anyone. Since it made us think that we are remembered and appreciated by people who use this coin.

Expect that your parents would not really appreciate Bitcoin especially if they don't have knowledge about it, for sure they provably don't know on where they can spend it. Better give them fiat and for sure they will be more happier.

But so far didn't have a chance to give Bitcoin to my friends in my area because most of them don't know how to use it. I also don't like the idea that they will just exchange to fiat immediately that's why usually I give them physical gifts that they can use

is it even worth buying the physical ones anymore since they are mostly for collectors and not for actually spending, i mean they look awesome on a shelf but if i want to gift btc i usually just set up a paper wallet or a cheap hardware signer for them, plus the sealed ones from 2011 are basically museum pieces at this point

I think OP meant sending BTC in general, I didn't see hin stating it to be the physical type.

It's better to be presented with BTC in a digital way, it's better and the only downside is that it doesn't look that good as the physical copy

If you ask me what gift will I appreciate more for Christmas? Of course it  will always be bitcoin… i knw it’s value and Im sure every other person from the forum will also appreciate receiving bitcoin as a Christmas presence more than any other kind of gift.

Stacking bitcoin is what I’ve had in mind to do cus of it’s RIO, so it will just ease the way for me to achieving my target and securing the future. For me it’s gonna be the best thing to happen to me to be very honest.

Being a bitcoiner, if I receive Bitcoin as a gift from someone, I already know the value that Bitcoin hold and to make the present worth more, I will hold the Bitcoin for long but if I give Bitcoin as gift to someone, if the person is not a bitcoiner he or she will not value the gift the way I would value it and they might just think that I gifted them money instead of a real physical present and they might quickly trade the Bitcoin to fiat and use it to get something for them self. That way, the purpose of you giving them Bitcoin is not fulfill.

If only my loved ones know about bitcoin or know how to buy bitcoin themselves and then transfer it to me but most of them are old millennials and Gen X so I do not think I would see any bitcoins as a Christmas present in the near future, I am a grown up myself so I will just gift myself some bitcoin I guess. Hope that everyone has a happy holiday, take this time as a way to destress, do not drown yourself in checking the market, just keep on hodling and buying bitcoin and your future finances will have some level of security that is better than other people.

Nope. I didn't trade at that day as well.

I focused more on my family, and forget about cryptocurrency at least for that day. Not a single Bitcoin has been given or received, and that will be the same when the New Year comes. If someone buys Bitcoin for me, I mean who will not accept it right? It's pure hypocrisy right now if there's somebody that will give you Bitcoin FOR FREE, but for some reasons you rejected it.

The only people that can be gifted Bitcoin during this Christmas period and be happy about it, are those who already have the cryptocurrency knowledge and are not just newbies in the game. Else, why bother when it would mean nothing to the person who knows nothing about it.

Even traders this period have been more preoccupied with travelling and family gatherings that trading activities has become suspended or reduced as compared to other seasons.
If am gifted Bitcoin now, I would thank the giver a lot and even throw a backflip of more than a count, just to show how joyous I am.

No body bought me a Christmas present in the form of bitcoin, I also will be honest that I did not gift any body in bitcoin as a Christmas present this season as well, reason being that I am short on my bitcoin investment and I can't afford to waste my precious bitcoin on any body who might not even understand how important this asset is.


The honest truth remains that most people still prefer physical items as gift compared to digital assets like bitcoin, you could give someone a $800 worth of bitcoin and a new mobile phone device worth $100, and the person will appreciate the mobile phone much more.
