It's debatable to say that gambling isn't my thing. For example, I'm not very good at poker, but I'm good at other card games. I understand football, but I don't understand basketball at all. My point is that a person can be good at one thing and completely clueless about other things, and that's perfectly normal.

People are always going to look at gambling as a quick way to earn money no matter their luck. They always have it in their brain that "if" they win this or that, they will be in a much better spot in their life. They are correct but usually make the wrong bet and just get to a worse position that they already were in.

If you don’t have any benefit from gambling then why not quit? It is something very simple; since gambling is a game of luck and somehow technical knowledge about some of these games, I think one can use his knowledge to get luck in some games they played well, and one can just be lucky even without any knowledge about gambling. If your case is completely different from all these, you should rather leave gambling for people that are earning from it and stop wasting your money as long as you are always losing. You don’t necessarily need to quit gambling for good. You can put a cap on your bet size and play frequency. If you manage to do that you can have fun and lose less. We all have our bad streaks but I’ve never thought it would last forever. I take a break, do something else… when I return and play again, my luck usually returns as well.

I mean you can quit for good if you like. If you think gambling is harming you more than anything, you probably should anyway. Because we all as a gambler are different, there will always be difference between each others, some gamblers can be very lucky and some gamblers might not be even lucky at all. In this situation, the I ly that we all can do is to minimize the risk in gamble, but the only way we all can do that is only when we risk what we can afford to lose. Although, there are still some gamblers that have quit gambling for a long time because there's always a loss, but some still continue and they are addicted to it because they chose to chase after their losses.

Let's be specific, can you make a huge bet at random that way without checking the performance of the teams,  their current form and other minor details? If you bet exclusively on luck, you will never have the confidence to put good money; knowledge gives you the confidence to bet bigger money and get big reward from that. Gambling based on luck is not sustainable and in a matter of time, you become discouraged due to lack of motivation.
