The thing about gambling just as you (OP) said, is a thing that has a lot to do with luck and as that goes, no one knows the day things get better or worse for him/her. You can have a bad run on gambling and then experience a really massive turnout just when you don't expect it. This isn't basically about addiction but about not giving up. I'm not trying to say gambling is so good that one shouldn't quit when things aren't going well but rather, you should never stop pushing on what you're doing because just one day and a particular decision is all you need  to hit it big.
I know someone who during some particular times experiences a lot of losses but trust me when the time ticks right, he recovers what he has lost over that period of time. That’s right, people only care about whether they’re lucky or not if they’re only/more concerned about winning, but when a player is only playing for fun and entertainment, win or losing would matter more or less to them. In the long run, everyone does really have different reasons why they’re gambling, and that’s what will determine why they should quit. A gambler who’s gambling for profit has different reasons for quitting compared to one gambling for fun.

There always those that will come in the conclusion that gambling is not for them . Well is quite normal and sometime is the right decision to make , especially as a gambler that’s addicted to gambling. Many times, but frankly it's just frustration more than anything for me. I yell at myself after losses and feel it's natural because if you don't get tilted after loss, you are probably gambling too small. I'm not addicted and not even close to it, but frustration is part of gambling as is excitement after winning.

There are times when I lose some close bets, tilt hard and take a week or two break. But after some time the emotions go away and I am back to gambling. Like recently I went from $150 to almost $4k and then eventually lost all (keno) and I was so mad but now I'm laughing thinking how it all happened lol

Is gambling really just entertainment for you? Gambling is basically a kind of funnel where you first go for fun and then gradually become addicted to it, if you spend a lot of time there. Every gambler should have these things in mind while gambling and that's it's either you win or you lose and it's either you are doing it for fun or for the money, if you are doing it for fun it shouldn't matter to you how many times you are losing because it's the satisfaction from watching the game that matters more to you and if you are doing it for the money and the money is not forth coming after recording many losses then it's better for you to stop. No matter the aim of you gambling whether for the fun or as an income you solely depend on, always know that it is not the fun, it is the money, even though you are kind of putting it as fun, it is never for fun, it is because of the money that people gamble. It will be too improper to say fun is what they get not the money. Why I said so is because, if we remove the money part of it, will people still gamble, I think the answer is know and not really.

I think most of us here would agree that it’s better to stop gambling if you’re really unlucky. If luck is clearly not on your side, why keep gambling? If you don’t stop even when you know you’re unlucky and you keep losing over and over, trust me it can lead to addiction.

Let me assume you're talking about quiting for some time and later come back again to gamble, if that's the case then i would say that I have done that before. I made a lot of bet but the last game keep spoiling my bet for 3 good times, then I just felt that my luck is still very far so I decided to go for a long break. Many times, but frankly it's just frustration more than anything for me. Have just remember that online gambling is created with algorithms that impossible to make you an everytime winner or everytime loser. Losing for two or three days repetitive is a hard luck but it wasn't ever a reason for any gambler to stop gambling. Either the gambler is addicted at the point he can't control his practices even with hardest luck, or the gambler is aware about what he is doing and knows that hard luck doesn't mean gambling wasn't made for him like good luck doesn't mean gambling was made for him.

I don't think so, most addicted gambler has gone through series of losses but yet they didn't quit gambling. Quitting of gambling should be more of personal decision and not about being unlucky to win. Most gambler that quit gambling isn't because of they are always unlucky but the effect of gambling on there wellbeing. If the main reason why people quit gambling is because being unlucky then there are many people that won't be gambling again.

I think people should be concerned about their personal health and should not stick to gambling for personal survival.
We might have seen from those that like gambling for too many reasons and should not follow their pattern of gambling because it can be very toxic when trying to make money because of the previous loses that had been incurred through gambling.

I will not tell those who take gambling as entertainment and use a very small part of their income on gambling to stop gambling because gambling can be taken as entertainment and even if they do not have technical knowledge, they can continue to gamble, but those who have taken gambling as a means of earning money and think about their future around gambling, I will prevent them from considering gambling as a game of luck because gambling is not for making money but for entertainment and if it is for entertainment, there is no problem even if it is a game of luck. High expectations is the reason many people have hard time in gambling. I am not sure if I'm the only person but gambling was never seen as an easy thing to me, that thing is very hard. 2 days ago, I had some games stack up together and I was having some doubt, out of fear I decided to cashout to maintain my stake only for me to check the games later and see that all the games won and I was mad at myself for not patience enough to win the golden price.

Yesterday, I decided to stack some games again, I had cashout more than an amount I had in the earlier day and I refused to take it this time around. Guess what comes later, I loss all the bet I was still mad not cashing out. You see that this things can make you want to give up because gambling is hard to crack through.
