I strongly believe everyone eyes got the right caption.
So I visited the mall with a friend and came across this book titled "the missing crypto queen"
and I stopped to take the photo and since the book is wrapped I could not read about it contents to see how interesting it is before I will buy it.
So I am enquiring from the forum I believe the learnability of the users.
For those that may have read the book, please I am curious to know if the book actually is biased or unbiased based on the captions as marked.
But whichever way, I know bitcoin and crypto currencies bases its adoptions on speculation and whichever way, criticism is also what had brought crypto this far which I believe the people are becoming wiser to believe life has become tough that no risk no rewards snd that is just why they could ignore the enemies of progress and freedoms with their criticisms on bitcoin and cryptos.
What can anyone say about this book please. I might afford to go back and buy it if it will really give a back up for my crypto journey. Thanks.

I see BBC on the cover and already know it’s nothing positive about bitcoin. The story itself is not about bitcoin, it’s a BBC story of the scammer Dr Ruja Ignatova who duped people into investing in OneCoin and disappeared with billions of dollars. If you had picked the book up and looked at the back cover you would have gotten the general idea of the book.

You don’t have to buy the book, google search will give you the information you need. You can also watch the YouTube video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FTnTToWEHvI

So I visited the mall with a friend and came across this book titled "the missing crypto queen"[/b] and I stopped to take the photo

What can anyone say about this book please.
I did not read this book, did not know about it but with given information in the photo from the book title "The missing crypto queen" to its short description "one of the biggest scams in history", I quickly think of the queen founder of Onecoin.

That project is a Ponzi one, founded by a woman, many years ago, and it was very hot in several years before the founder was arrested and sued.

You can search and find information about the book.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/59227929-the-missing-cryptoqueen
Quote
175 countries, four billion dollars, one the thrilling rise and fall of the biggest cryptocurrency con in history and the woman behind it all

In 2016, on stage at Wembley Arena in front of thousands of adoring fans, Dr. Ruja Ignatova promised her followers a financial revolution. The future, she said, belonged to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. And the Oxford-educated, self-styled cryptoqueen vowed that she had invented the Bitcoin Killer. OneCoin would not only earn its investors untold fortunes; it would change the world.

By March 2017, more than $4 billion had been invested in OneCoin in countries all around the world. But by October 2017, Ruja Ignatova had disappeared, and it slowly became clear that her revolutionary cryptocurrency was not all it seemed. Fortune was left asking, “Is OneCoin the biggest financial fraud in history?”

In  The Missing Cryptoqueen , acclaimed tech journalist Jamie Bartlett tells the story he began in his smash hit BBC podcast, entering the murky worlds of little-regulated cryptocurrencies and multilevel marketing schemes. Through a globe-crossing investigation into the criminal underworlds, corrupt governments, and the super-rich, he reveals a very modern tale of intrigue, techno-hype and herd madness that allowed OneCoin to become a million-person pyramid scheme—where, at the top, investors were making millions and, at the bottom, people were putting their livelihoods at risk. It’s the inside story of the smartest and biggest scam of the 21st Century—and the genius behind it, who is still on the run.

It's simply about a scammer who developed a shitcoin, which she claims will outperform Bitcoin. Ruja Ignatova's OneCoin scam was a Ponzi Scheme that made millions of greedy and ignorant people lose about $4 billion. This scammer used the proceeds from her scams to live a lavish lifestyle until she disappeared in 2017. Since then, there have been speculations that she has been sighted in some countries, but none have been confirmed by relevant authorities. Some news even claimed that she has been murdered , however, this has not been verified.

It's obvious that the book has nothing to do with Bitcoin.

This book tells the story perfectly, and the research is amazingly thorough, including highlighting all the known clues that were thrown up along the way and the warnings to investors, the story is based on greed, deceit and herd behaviour. People invested on onecoin despite it lack of blockchain and actually cryptocurrency, trust me, in this era no one will attempt taking such risk no matter the hype.

How on earth would people believed that there would be a coin that will outperform bitcoin, like how?
Knowing too well that bitcoin is the main knowledge behind every cryptocurrencies, so any other coin that is launched today is already a tap knowledge from already established and developed projects which in turns could results to copy and paste.
Usually given much attention to shitcoin is always luring that is why is not really that advisable to give so much attention to altcoin or shitcoin.

Knowing too well that bitcoin is the main knowledge behind every cryptocurrencies, so any other coin that is launched today is already a tap knowledge from already established and developed projects which in turns could results to copy and paste.
To be fair it was the early days between 2014-2017, and bitcoin had not hit its peak yet. Most of the victims didn’t understand bitcoin in the first place neither did they understand what they were investing in. They were sold on the rich lifestyle of the founder and the idea that they too would become rich if they bought OneCoin.

Okay. Thanks I duly appreciate your quality of response because after undergone online research about the book I got similar informations as that you have said.
The onechain project by that scammers was really a full dose of hypes that unrealistically promises the public to grow rich overnight. Maybe that was were those greeds was found interesting and became her victims.
It is also good to know that the book contents does not discuss about bitcoin because it would really had been a discard how a writer would have to spend all the resources just to taunt bitcoin despites its proof of work and leaving us with historical data's to prove its legitimacy.

The so called crypto queen is the onecoin pyramid scheme founder Ruja Ignatova.

The TL;DR is that she spearheaded a huge pyramid scheme and eventually rug pulled on everyone and disappeared with the help of a few powerful friends via Greece or likely taking a Cypriot golden passport with a false name. Now she's on the run with some hundreds of millions at her disposal.

For me I wouldn't spend a dime buying those books. Maybe it's better to buy books related to Bitcoin and Blockchain in my opinion.

You might find anything about it in the internet and maybe this could have been discussed as well in the community. And at least for Bitcoin books, you can get a lot of knowledge that we didn't get around this community.

And maybe share this books with your friends and even your kids in the next generation. Here is a good list to begin with, (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5142007.0).

Your responds is kindly appreciated on this post regardlessly. Since the book is not about bitcoin, I would definitely not spend my resources on it not because it is not going to be educative in one way but because, it won't contribute to my vision on bitcoin and crypto journey since it is fostered on detailing about about scam that has no linger to bitcoin.
But in the other hand, the book might be as important enlighten beginners about the risk of investing in Alt Coins which projects are focused on hyping to enrich investors overnight.
So there could be a dynamic thought for the readers of that book too to be aware about the risks of investing in crypto, specially those who are aiming to grow rich overnight should could take note on the risk of investing in Alt Coins.

There are two crypto queens, the other is chinese and she's also involved with in swindling people's retirement funds for buying crypto.

Her name is Qian Zhimin.

And the other one is the most notorious and known that are still at large until now. Maybe she won't get caught anymore, she's probably changed her appearance and had surgeries and other changes to her information and personality.

The book follows the dramatic rise and collapse of OneCoin, a so-called cryptocurrency promoted worldwide as a revolutionary alternative to Bitcoin, but later revealed to be a large-scale fraud with no real blockchain behind it. At the center of the story is Dr. Ruja Ignatova, an Oxford-educated businesswoman who branded herself as the “Cryptoqueen.” During the mid 2010s, she persuaded millions of people across more than one hundred and seventy five (175) countries to invest billions of dollars through extravagant presentations, bold profit promises and a multilevel marketing system. As global investigations closed in around 2017, Ignatova disappeared without a trace, leaving investors shocked and authorities searching, a mystery that remains unresolved till date. I have also  came across the book once online but the page I saw it was encrypted and need subscription to be able to access it but I was able to access the summary of how the book is. This is all what I know or let me say what I read about the book.
