BCA 2025 Voting don Open [Discussion thread]

It’s one thing to announce the awards, but when it starts to feel like people are being directed to vote for a particular person,  it starts to defeat the purpose.  Voting should be people’s genuine feelings with nothing else.
If a person really deserves the  award he/she want to go for,  then let their good work should be able to speak for themselves,  and there should be no extra push needed.  It just becomes biased when it starts to feel like there’s a purpose behind the push.  Omo trying to stay neutral would be the safest thing to do,  especially with how things went last year. There are no awards to be given to reopen old issues. Truth be told,  if na we see the same thing happening in another local board, we go probably start to complain about it too. So me actually understand where you’re coming from.

Let me go a bit off here, Joy- maker if you don't believe in the saying that "charity begins at home" that means you need to get more knowledge about life so you don't get old while your tooth are still looking like that of a baby. Our people are good, they are strong, the growth and popularity says it all so let's go there and bring the awards home.

Thanks for the info SatoPrincess, I didn't actually know the awards have started before now, I saw some comments on the thread but sadly, I didn't get to see them in your OP before you edited it but I believe the way your OP looks now is much better rather than advertising specific candidates to vote and seemingly discrediting others although it might not be your main intent.

The Most important thing is that we bring the awards home and unite amongst ourselves to bring it home, different sets of people have different candidates, but I know if we are very honest with ourselves and neutral (which may not be obtainable), we know specific people who meets those criteria from our LB and is only right we support them.

I see no big deal for all this misunderstanding between our self, as a matter of fact we are all one black, one Naija and one people, let put away the differences and make this whole voting stuff work successful. The key point there is to ensure we bring the glory back home regardless who it may be. However the bond of unity between us is what stands us out there in the global view so it important we maintain that love that has always speak for us.

There are 2 users on this board I feel have grown so much in technical posts but sadly I'm sure they won't get recognised for it. The view numbers on this thread is high and I'm hoping those reading do what's right for once. SatoPrincess once again what you did first hand isn't something I expected of you. Had you come like igebotz then I'll be in total support.

Also I don edit the thread so that nobody go feel pressure to do wetin no dey their mind. Awards go come and go but the community go still dey.

You be person way dey fight your own brothers and sisters for the forum without looking back, me I be one of the persons you done try to bring down by accusing me wrongly say I dey use AI do post knowing fully well say I be your brother same country and no be only me you done do this kind thing way be Nigeria.
Just imagine say as you dey follow dey fight your brothers and sisters say them fall who go vote, some times una dey forget say we need each other. I no even see watin una dey see to fight your follow Nigeria's, maybe you won get reputation by bring your brothers and sisters down.

Even though we campaign, the result no too favor us. This year I want make we carry at least four trophies come house.

The most important thing is that we had someone who emerged as winner in one of those categories last year so it mustn't be many people from the local board. Besides, the local board is still growing, we don't have enough voting force like some of the other local boards and again this is a general community awards not just about the local board as it comprises of many users across the forum. Going home with at least 4 awards is not bad but let it be that we vote based on merit and not based on bias or favoritism.

Well you have tried to keep us updated to know that it has already kick start, of course the people you made mentioned are the people would vote for sure, there nothing too serious about this. What matters most is unity and when we are united there is nothing there to separate us from not voting for the people we all wished for and want to.
Everyone, anyone has the right to vote for whomever they want to and not directly to people listed above an this shouldn't cause any issues or misunderstanding among us as it just something to make the forum fun and playful especially to see what others feels about people and their rolls they plays on the forum.

It was a well-deserved award for our new local hero @igebotz, he outsmarts CryptopreneurBrainboss this time around. Congratulations to him and the others that won the raffle rewards, it's a good thing to the local board. That notwithstanding, i urge local board members to be very contributive in the forum so that we can also look up to winning other category awards and not only the local hero category.
