Salary work is not bad it is a foundation, many people start in salary jobs to learn, save money and later build their own business or trade skills, I have worked as a kitchen assistant as a salary worker for 4years and I achieved a very big hand work as a chef, I earn a little salary of 40,000 but I'm happy I achieved a hand work as a chelf,Now I have a hand work cooking and selling food and making more money from salary work, from working as a salary worker to Hand work, now I have my own restaurant bar were I sale my food as a chef,
Hand work is any job where you use your hands, skills, and tools to produce value, You get paid based on, the advantage of being a salary work stable and predictable income You receive a fixed amount regularly monthly or weekly which makes budgeting and financial planning easier, the Advantage of having a Hand work is  having the opportunity to earn with skills, The better your Skil the more you can charge, some skilled workers earn more than the salaried workers because they control their price.
Direct income and quick cash flow, You often get paid immediately for the job done daily weekly unlike salary work which pays monthly, This can help with daily expenses,
Independence and self Employment, many hand workers are self employed and don't rely on a boss or fixed structure you can set your own hours, choose your customers and control your customers, control your work load.
High Demand in Every community, Skilled work like carpenter, tailoring, mechanics, welding, plumbing, hairdressing, farming etc will always be needed these are recession proof skills, You can make your own opinion by qoute.

That's not often the case as it depends on where one is employed. Most people don't get paid their salaries regularly when due. My reference is to my country. I don't know how that plays out in saner societies with strong labour laws that employers are scared of messing around with. In my country, labour laws are almost none effective.

On the whole, nothing compares with skills (handwork), no matter what the salary scale is. One day, that job may be gone and the employee becomes stranded if they aren't skillful and dexterous.
