If more and more people will say no to such trades that put the security and integrity of this forum and its members at risk, we will not bother much about the risks of impersonation. To see that the account trader messaged severally to see if he could get a chance of buying your account shows how desperate he is to use the short cut. He has a very questionable personality, avoid him.

I understand there's a rule against showing other people's PMs, but it seems like I need to do that this time. It just bothers me that this idiot keeps asking me if I'm selling my account. It's kind of disgusting, because he understands that buying and selling accounts on this forum is strictly prohibited, yet he still asks people if their accounts are for sale.

I never come across such rule here that prevent showing other people's PM but I know it's not morally ideal to reveal your secret conversations with others publicly without the consent of other party. However, the forum is against sending unsolicited messages and you're free to report such messages at your own will. Disclosing such messages to raise awareness about a scam attempt or similar behaviour is not a wrong move in my opinion and you have nothing to regret. And by the way, the forum does not prohibit selling of accounts but it however discourage it.

Maybe some of you get messages like this, and are interested in the message of getting some bucks by selling your account, but that is a disgusting act- is it really worth it to sell your account, knowing that someone else can make more than what you got? You need to understand that these people can use the account to earn more money by joining the signature campaign, or want to apply for a loan and then exit this forum.

Most of these accounts they're selling are never from the genuine users, they are majorly hacked accounts and they want to transfer risk to buyers. They don't care what may come afterwards as long as they secured the small bucks from less effort just by hacking the accounts. As a buyer, if you succeed and enrol in a campaign or take a loan, your profits but if the account get bursted immediately, your loss. It's like a game of chance for the buyers but a business for the hackers.

And for those of you who want to buy an account, just stop doing that because it's a waste of your energy. You might want to skip the effort of building an account from scratch, but it's just plain stupid to buy an account when you can build it yourself.

No! Not every one is intelligent enough to build up accounts here up to a full member rank and above. It's not stupid to them, it's a wise decision to bypass the process. What makes it stupid is not realising that you can not pretend to be someone's else for long and that's why bought account get identify in obvious manner.

Be careful with personal messages like this, especially since he previously received neutral trust from @nutildah, which indicates that the account has changed hands or is not managed by the original owner. It seems like he has started to get addicted (maybe because he was accepted into one of the Signature Campaigns) so that greed arose in him to farm accounts. However, this kind of action is not justified, I also just saw his profile, he has received the consequences of his stupidity and greed, after @Lucius and @lovesmayfamilis marked him with Red trust with reference to this topic, the account will soon be retired because there are no more campaign managers who accept it.

I have seen a lot of stupid moves on here but trying to buy accounts while active in a signature campaign is definitely top tier idiocy, you are literally inviting the house to come and check your credentials, i hope people take this as a warning that the short cut is usually a cliff, keep up the good work reporting these guys because it keeps the forum a bit cleaner for the rest of us who actually care about the community

This member was not accepted into any Signature Campaign. I have reviewed Rainbet's spreadsheet and his recent activity history. Perhaps the neutral trust rating he received may have contributed to reducing his chances of acceptance especially since it could indicate that the account was purchased or hacked... Therefore, it is likely that this member resorted to buying another account and tried sending private messages, hoping those he contacted would cover for him rather than expose him.

In any case, I also tagged his account negatively. Therefore, I advise anyone who receives such offers similar to what OP got to report them and expose the sender to protect the community from such dishonest members who might use these accounts to cheat in signature campaigns and commit fraud.

Those who buy accounts should also understand that hacked or purchased accounts are very easy to detect and once discovered, having a Red Trust account will be of no benefit at all.

Anyone that will even consider to sell their account that took them years to build just like that need some check up . Because that’s not something I will consider or even have in thought , I know the stress and time to build account, and I’m grateful for how far I have come . Rather than to buy account why don’t you take your time and acquired more knowledge inorder to build your own account .

I feel that those who may be selling their accounts are people who are farming accounts. If not, why would someone decide to sell an account that has been benefiting from in one or two ways?and even for those who are buying, I feel they are fools and have been blinded by the money they want to make from signature campaigns. If not, they should know that what they are doing is not right, and it may cause them some challenges in the future.

It could also be that the person selling the account has done something wrong against the forum before. But the point is that if people stop selling accounts, people will stop asking whether someone will sell an account or not, and keep exposing those who are sending messages saying they want to buy accounts will also help reduce buying of account.

Maybe he is doing that because he has also seen that others are practicing it as well, so he just follow what others are doing. Yes, its prohibited in the forum but the forum can't stop the account owners if they will sell their accounts at a good price.

Those who buy accounts are the losers because the accounts they buy will be traced by the reputable forum members and will get banned or get tagged because they will change the email and passwords of the accounts, and after that, the posting style will differ, which will show the difference, and once it is beign noticed, it will be tagged and it will be of no use again.

Just be patient, learn and interact in the forum to grow your account instead of paying money to buy an already built account that will be of no use to you after sometimes, buying accounts is waste of time and your money, ypu will not even learn anything from the forum, and your interactions with other forum members will show that ypu are not used to the forum. Therefore, use your money to buy Bitcoin and build an account in the forum.

No matter how many times they say it that people should stop selling/buying accounts, some individuals won't stop. I got series of messages like this in the past when I was new to the forum, but I ignored such people without giving it a thought. Someone who wants to own an account should go through the process and build one on their own. The ones that came to my DM mostly come with the offer that they want to sell an account to me. Like why would I buy an account that I don't know what the person has done with the account. People doing such things are taking big risks and they should stop it.

I solely believe that one of the things that's given these people the kind of mind they have to be doing this type of service of buying and selling accounts is as a result of the forum rules allowing it and if they have not also been getting customers who have been patronizing them there is not time that they will still continue running such advertisement and sending users unsolicited messages for the sellers if it's not hacked account I don't know any other way that anyone can get as much account as they sell.

It's a punishable offence and doesn't break his privacy; hence, it's fine to share his PM. Reporting a crime to a police station doesn't mean it's breaking privacy. You may report to admin to ban that account; admins will take appropriate action against such PM. However, account selling isn't strictly prohibited; it's allowed but discouraged. But a few DT members, including me, don't like account trading and, if caught, most of the time get a red tag.

I haven't got any such messages yet; if so, then definitely I will tag that account. They are likely to scam forum users, because they rarely can join the signature campaign due to low-quality posts. A quality poster will never attempt to purchase an account. Don't try to respond to them, and better report unsolicited messages to admins.

Trust me, most of the purchased accounts have been exposed day by day. So buying an account is just a waste of money and time. Rather just focus on starting from zero. You can gain a lot of knowledge in the meantime while building an account. A new but purchased account won't recognise the forum. They will definitely be exposed.

Many people try to avoid creating an account from scratch by buying one. Honestly, i don’t support that, because it takes away the whole point of the forum. That means they will buy an account, have multiple accounts, and write meaningless posts just to meet the quota in signature campaigns, and all of that only lasts until one day they get exposed and tagged. When that happens, all the "effort" will be wasted . I wouldn’t ignore such messages i would definitely tag the person and put them on ignore

wait so you are saying the merit system actually failed its main purpose because it just created a higher price tag for sold accounts haha, to be honest it makes sense since you cannot really regulate human greed with a few forum points, for an average joe in a poor economy the time investment to rank up naturally is basically impossible compared to just buying a shortcut, it is sad but that is just how the world works and no amount of forum rules can change global inequality, what would happen if accounts were tied to real identities though would that even work here

The merit system failed when
- merit started to be given away just to be given
- farmers realized they can turn ten merit into 20 by recycling it through their accounts
- there was no actual punitive action being taken against people who would bypass actual growth

So, what was the purpose of it again? To prevent people from ranking up juts by aging their account? Well, it failed!

So, although one could think that higher ranks that allow you to qualify for larger payments are the most demanded, it seems that it is more convenient to keep a low profile with multiple low-rank accounts.

I'm saying that once they get 4-5 accounts, it's way harder to get all of them in signature campaigns and keep them there, but growing 1-2 on the side with merit begging it's still possible as there is zero efort needed nowadays, so they can grow 2-3 accounts for spare and 2-3 more for sale!
