You may want to argue that what if he had spent the refund on something else rather than buy the lottery ticket, but fact is, he bought the lottery ticket and it's because he returned the $5 juice which his wife disapproved, if his wife accepted the juice, there would have been no lottery ticket to win.


Anyways, this is too damn a coincidence though, and this left me wondering if there is really any spiritual side to gambling for real cus situations like this are too mysterious for the ordinary human mind to comprehend..
I asked myself questions like...
 - why did the wife had to reject the juice?
 - and why didn't the husband just pick up offence with the wife for rejecting the juice and simply leave the juice laying around anywhere in the house?
 - what pushed the man to return the juice for a refund? And what pushed him to go buy lottery ticket with the refunded money he received?
Can all of this be coincidence?

My friend invited me to hang out & meet up with our old friends. While I was there, I opened my phone & made a deposit to gamble. What happened next was that I won almost $1,000 that session. When I got home, I started to think, what if I had declined the invitation? would I have had the same experience?

It feels mysterious because we only look back and connect the dots after the win. If the ticket had lost, no one would care about the rejected juice or the refund. Those details only gained meaning because the outcome was extraordinary.

From a gambling perspective, nothing spiritual caused the win. The refund didn’t create luck it simply allowed him to buy a ticket. Out of millions sold, one had to win, and his happened to be it. Humans naturally search for meaning in rare events, but lotteries are pure randomness. It’s a striking coincidence and I believed just you're luck.

That’s probably just coincidence. He was really destined to win, and even though his wife was involved, he still made the right call to buy the lottery ticket.

As for groceries, from my experience, when you return something you usually don’t get cash back. Most of the time you’re given another item or store credit instead. Not sure how it works in their country, but that’s not really the main point anyway.

Though happened in 2018, but I personally think it's still worth discussing since no other thread with same information exist here.

First, I will agree the the woman is solely responsible for the winning to be honest, because it all started with her rejecting a bottle of juice..
But what drove the man to decide to buy a lottery ticket with the refund he recieved is what I don't know and can't say, maybe it's nothing but coincidence, but then, it's actually hard to believe though 😂

The guy indeed use the refund ticket since the lottery outlet is near the counter where he refunded the juice. He was attracted to place the 5$ refunded money since the powerball price increased by the time he check the screen while he was holding a cash enough to place a bet.

This guy probably not a regular lottery bettor but decided to place bet due to his situation.

If it weren't a coincidence, the story might not be real. Because if I had already bought a juice for $5, I probably wouldn't think about returning it and getting my money back just to buy a lottery ticket. That’s just fate. They’re millionaires now. Sometimes having a wife like that can actually change your life. If she were too calm and just happy with everything, maybe the guy wouldn’t have felt pushed enough to even buy that ticket. Looks like everything was already written for them.

People who like believing in superstition will believe that this is not a coincidence, and people who don't will think that it is just a coincidence. Personally, I think this is just a coincidence, there is nothing supernatural happening here. It's just that the guy decided to use the refund money to buy lottery tickets and got lucky.

I don't even think the refund nor the juice are big deal when it comes to him, winning the lottery. We can also say that even if they didn't asked for a refund for that juice, he still probably has extra $5 that he can use to bet on the lottery. One of the reason. There’s a lot of variables to make this outcome complete since he can just argue to his wife and stop refunding their deposit juice since it’s too inconvenient to do that just for the small amount also he can live immediately without placing after the refund since his goal back then is to complete his wife order just for the sake stopping the argument.

But the wife insisting for the refund is surely one of the main reason to make this event happened.

In case this story is true that is how luck works and there is nothing to be surprised about in my opinion. That kind of luck tend to be one in millions and it is seen in many different scenarios the main one being 6 from 49 which needs to have a 1 in 13.8xx.xxx odds in order to win the top prize and that kind of luck you don't get it by having persistent sessions and playing slot machines. I don't know if the image OP shared is real. What I do know is that such coincidences happen quite often. As you mentioned, if you hadn't accepted your friends' invitation, you wouldn't have had that experience. Many coincidences occur that are beyond our conscious understanding and capacity.

When everything happens so coincidentally one after another, you stop and think, What's going on? It's as if everything that was supposed to happen has aligned. I believe in fate things happen suddenly, without us even realizing it.

We live in a world where Science has almost the basis for everything (except the spiritual world and beliefs). What happened to the guy is purely coincidental- probably the odds of that happening is astronomically low (like 0.000001%) but the fact still remains that everyone has a shot in the lottery because of the presence of luck and odds.

If you think that the reason for his luck is due to a spiritual level that we cannot explain or perceive, then feel free to believe on that. But as we live in a world of Science, odds are the reason on why he won.

In conclusion, that guy just got LUCKY. Nothing more; nothing less than the fact that he just got lucky in which not all the people in this world would experience.
