Since it's free, why not take the opportunity to take a free consult? Unless you want to end up being addicted, or maybe you think you can fight the addiction for yourself, which is impossible without the help of others.

If I am getting addicted, there is always the chance that I will be giving excuses for it, saying I'm good, and claiming that I am not losing money to it.  Those excuses will create a sense of false control for me when I may actually be losing it.

Since he specialises in addiction cases, it shows there are some changes he is seeing in me which I am not seeing. A free consultation won't hurt anyone, I'll go for the consultation just to know myself better, seek professional advice and support. I might even make it a routine to always check my mental health and changes in me that are obviously influenced by gambling so as to avoid future problems. I dont know if some doctors specialize in gambling addiction. What I do know are those who take care of people in rehab, people who are addicted to any substance or behaviour.

I would be definitely accept this free consultation even though I think everything is fine with me and my gambling habits. I would never see it as a waste of time because I believe a professional's opinion is always important. Well this case is somehow technical but of course Sometimes when we are addicted we don't accept that we are, and a person that is mad never accept that he is mad. If such offer is given free of charge, I don't see anything wrong with giving it a trial. You will tell your friend that you are ok if you are really sure nothing is wrong with you.  you will clear his doubt by just accepting his offer to see if there will be a different after the consultation. You know sometimes people don't believe you until a checkup is done on your to prove otherwise.
