The truth is that, no one can really really predict for sure the market’s next move, we only know that the market can either be bullish or bearish but no one really knows for sure when that would be, regardless of whatever indicator we might see. Which is why it’s not good to buy based on emotion or what you think would happen next in the market. Just like you said, the key is staying consistent in your accumulation, regardless of whatever shape the market may take or how promising the market may look like.

In my opinion we should not just start the year with bitcoin, cryptocurrency world is not a place that we can just go into or walk into without plans or strategies. Investing in bitcoin is never to late no matter what time of the year it is, we should make sure we buy during dips and not during highs so we can make good profits after pumps or uptrends arrives.
 Let not just walk into cryptocurrency space without plans or strategies, let have good plans and make sure we do not follow hypes or any influencers promotions, have a plan before going into investing and if we are ready to invest in bitcoin when the dips arrives then we can buy but it not a must to start the year with buying bitcoin we can wait for more dips.

Waiting for the dip is not an ideal method I’ll recommend to anyone who want to invest in Bitcoin now, rather, you should start accumulating  bit by bit and get have this long term investment mindset of 10 years and above, and using the DCA method, depending on your discretionary funds availability and start accumulating bit by bit and long as you are discipline with your accumulation as the year goes by you’ll get something in your portfolio to look up to. You don’t really have to wait for the dip, while DCAing, you won’t even know when you’re actually buying the dip.

In as much as we can be certain that in this new year the price of Bitcoin might rise but not withstanding we should always buy when the price is favorable. Let us be very sure when to buy and when not to just buy because it's very important.  There are several possibilities for Bitcoin in this season especially while everyone is watching the new year but we should conscious and personally I suggest it should be bought and hold because I have a feeling it's going to go high again in the coming years so it's better and preferably hold for a long time.
