BBC has confirmed the people that were killed, they are Sina Ghami and Latif "Latz" Ayodele, his promoter Matchroom Boxing has confirmed.

Latif “Latz” Ayodele is his personal trainer, and Sina Ghami is his strength and conditioning coach. These are the people who trained and conditioned Joshua in every fight. I'm sure he is very close to these two people.
Based on what I saw on the video, the car was totally wrecked, and Joshua is agonizing in pain, but the mental hurt is the one that will hurt the most; he needs more time to heal emotionally from this accident.

I feel bad for him as this is happening just few days after winning a tough game. When I saw the picture I was so shocked that I had to watch the video. We have really lost a lot of athletes through road accidents and it's very unfortunate. Anthony Joshua is lucky to have lived because the accident was brutal, he looks hurt in the picture and he will be traumatized as a result of the shock from losing his friends. Over speeding is one of the major causes of accident and it baffles me how people are not scared of over speeding, many cases of accident is caused by carelessness and speed out of control. We are just glad that all didn't lose their lives.

It won't be easy for him griefing and mourning his friends with injuries, I feel sad for him and his family and the family of the deceased. I hope he recovers soon. Rip to the lost souls.

This is the sort of tragedy that makes no sense. From such a high off the payday of a lifetime to mourning your friends… Prayers for everyone involved.  

This is so sad, i don't know what is happening to athletes with having accidents. In july it was Diogo Jota and now Anthony Joshua. Even though he survived but this will be a very big trauma for the British professional boxer because losing two friends that came to spend a holy day with you is just so weird. Wish him speedy recovery and may the souls of the departed ones rest in peace. What a life, a moment we and here and the next moment we are gone!

What a tragic turn of event for AJ, I believe he probably come to Nigeria to reunite with his root and also to celebrate the Christmas here in Nigeria, little did he know that things will go this way. Looking at the images and photos of the car crash, it’s such a ghastly accident and Anthony himself is really lucky to survive the accident. The right word to use is 'fatal accident' not 'ghastly accident' because it involved death. A ghastly accident is majorly concerned with injuries and horrible situations but a fatal accident is one that a death casualty is reported.

This story just refreshed my memory and made me remember the similar tragic event that unfolded in the case of Diego Jota and his brother who wasn’t so lucky in his case. It’s just so disheartening to hear stories like this, I feel really bad for the families of the deceased friends. I don’t know if this wants to become a trend now, just yesterday in my neighborhood, two people also lost their lives in when a car collided with their motorcycle, two people lost their lives (the rider and one of the passengers) leaving one hospitalized with an amputated leg, was definitely not a sight to behold. I would also like to express my condolences over the passing of two trainers who were also close friends of Anthony Joshua. Fortunately, the former heavyweight boxer survived the fatal accident. Many videos have been circulating on social media showing the evacuation process, and it is of course very sad to see. It is clear that Anthony Joshua will need a long time to recover from the trauma of the accident. Reportedly, he is currently in stable condition and is being treated in the hospital. Local police suspect that the car driven by Anthony Joshua was traveling at high speed and collided with another vehicle that was stopped while they was attempting to overtake.

Anthony Joshua has been confirmed to sustain a minor injury, no internal bleeding. He is very sound and recovering better.

I actually watched the video on Facebook today and I was thinking it was AI designed video which I didn't pay much attention to the video as I think that anything is possible nowadays and could likely be those who are looking for a way to gain more subscribers. Seeing this post here actually affirm it that it is authentic.
However, this is really sympathetic seeing that he sustain several injuries, also we have to thank God at least for saving his life for not entirely swiped him out of the surface of the earth. However, I think this could affect his upcoming matches as I don't think he could be that physically sound to withstands a heavy fight against his opponent.

Very sad news: although Anthony Joshua escaped with only a minor injury, his two close friends, Kevin Ayodele and Sina Ghami, tragically lost their lives in the accident. What a narrow escape, he is very lucky to have escaped this, traveling during the festive season could come with some traffic challenges, because everywhere is busy and then people are are struggling to meet up with one or two things before the due time, also, bad road is another challenge, its not advisable to go on a long distance by road, instead by air, this could safe us from a lot of road challenges.

Usually it’s because they were drunk or driving recklessly, but in this case Joshua was only a passenger. I cant imagine how fast you must go, that a collision will cause such damage to passengers, that will end their lives. Airbags, reinforced frame, car must have had good breaks. I cant imagine where would a person hurry that he had to break speed limit so much, that the car crash was so hard.

From the eyes witness of  the Anthony Joshua accident that claims the life of his two friends was due over speeding, it is really sad story to see that Anthony Joshua came back to Nigerian to celebrate his Christmas 🎄 with families and friends with two friends from our side country that followed him to Nigerian to spend their holidays in Nigerian happened to be among the car accident that took their, this celebration period comes with so many things that one needs to be very careful when driving or crossing the road because the rate in which accident is really happening within this period is alarming that every driver should drive with the limits he can be able to control or better still government should initiate the maximum speed a commercial driver should reach when driving on the road.

I'm a Nigerian and one of the major challenge in Nigerian road transportation system is that the government is not paying attention to speed limit and control. Although it is inevitable for road accident not to occur but the rate is on the high side. Last time it was news of Dangote truck crushing vehicles and passenger due to reckless driving by the drivers and now this.

Traffic signs for speed limits are already in place along express ways in Nigeria but there is no proper enforcement by the government agencies to guarantee drivers do not violate these limits. The government should consider paying more attention in this regard.

Judging on the way the car was damaged, it shows that who even was driving the SUV was over speeding,  which very bad. Its true that their are a lot of speed limits sign on Nigeria high ways, but people don't adhere to it due to the fact that these laws are not being enforced by the people that are suppose to do it.
We know the government are at fault,  but you don't blame it alone on the government,  but also the citizens,  that see this signs and refuse to obey,  because they feel they can always bribe their way out of this issues even when they are caught.
Secondly I don't understand what are truck is going on the side of the road. I have been opportune to travel to the western world and I have traveled internationally state, I read can't remember seeing a truck parked on the road. This is very common in Nigerian and I keep wondering why this trucks are always on the high way, even if these trucks develops a fault, there is no proper warning signs to let other commuters know that the parked truck is faulty. I think the government really needs to look into this things to reduce road accidents.

Probably intoxicated or high. They were celebrating AJ's recent win, and with that, usually comes booze and drugs.
But, based on the State Police Commissioner's statement:

The accident happened as a result of a burst tire on AJ's vehicle, which caused the driver to lose control and the vehicle to swerve into the stationary truck parked along the road.

Yet, according to the spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps:

traveling beyond the legally prescribed speed limit on the corridor, lost control during an overtaking maneuver and crashed into a stationary truck

Either the tire burst - they lost control, or lost control while overtaking (probably due to overspeeding) and crashed into a parked truck, or alcohol is involved, and these are just cover-ups. Either way, such a sad loss for the families of those who died in this horrible accident.

It's an unfortunate thing for the Nigerian boxing star to have encountered this kind of thing just because he pays visit to her home country but then, accident is not something we can completely predict because it happens everywhere. To the departed friends of AJ and the mental stress he is probably going through, we just have to sympathise with him big time.

I have only just heard about this tragic accident! Strangely, it wasn't reported on the news in Italy, or perhaps I just missed it. In any case, I am sorry for Anthony, but above all for his two friends and coaches who tragically lost their lives! It's never nice to read this kind of news.
