He had an accident, two people died in the accident, he suffered a minor injury but he is fine according to the news.

I'm a Nigerian and one of the major challenge in Nigerian road transportation system is that the government is not paying attention to speed limit and control. Although it is inevitable for road accident not to occur but the rate is on the high side. Last time it was news of Dangote truck crushing vehicles and passenger due to reckless driving by the drivers and now this.

Traffic signs for speed limits are already in place along express ways in Nigeria but there is no proper enforcement by the government agencies to guarantee drivers do not violate these limits. The government should consider paying more attention in this regard.
I deeply sympathise with the deceased and I also wish AJ quick recovery.

I feel so bad for Joshua gets this incident just after he won big bag of money. I saw his mimick from the picture after the crash and he seems feel so hurt especially on his legs, though it's minor injury. RIP for two guys who deceased in this incident, and it seems those are his english friends.

Losing his friends may probably traumatized him, but hope him to speedy recovery.

I just checked and saw it was true, this happened today and he was very lucky to have escaped this incident that claimed others lives, am just happy that he was not so unfortunate to be the second celebrity to be deceased after the Christmas celebration, it was indeed a narrow escape for him, the roads are bad and am just thankful this does not end the way others experienced theirs and depart.

I hope this wouldn't be his last journey to Nigeria, he may never wish to come back again after this, you can see the image from the scene below.

Accidents occur a lot in the festive period. As much as I love to blame the government for everything, they are not the ones behind the wheel. Drivers need to do better, they risk their lives and the lives of others. I know it’s Detty December but you can’t be driving under the influence (not suggesting that is what happened here). My condolences to the family and l wish AJ speedy recovery.

I don't think this is the case, I surfed through social media and I can even see many comments that it was a spiritual attack but I feel it is high time people eliminate this kind of mentality. It is normal for accidents like this to occur, especially in Nigerian express roads due to reckless driving and poor government control.

If he had been sitting in the front seat with the driver, he would have had the misfortune of dying. Cases like these reinforce the idea that all accidents resulting in death should be considered crimes.

For example, if someone is driving a car and hits another person's car, causing that person's death, or if someone is driving a car and runs over other people or hits an obstacle, killing the occupants of the car they are driving but they themselves are not killed, then they should be arrested and charged with murder and punished with a long prison sentence without parole or bail. This is the only way to prevent accidents.

I feel it should be in the local board since it is a Nigerian based issue but all the same it is still very informative being on the gambling discussion. what happened was very disheartening, he was really lucky to only sustain injuries, the others were not so lucky..it would have been a tragic incident for him to have lost his life all because he decided to visit his own country, we all should learn to drive safely

I saw this in Twitter and I was screaming to myself; is this true?? Is this supposed to be an old news or something? I'm so happy that man didn't lose his life in such a gruesome way, if not, Jake and Logan wouldn't give their sincere condolences; they would just straight up mock his corpse.
This is a typical example of what we locally know as "the work of your village people"   I know it's funny, but anything could fit into that phrase..  Wrong choices like over speeding, taking wrong turns and so on (which has absolutely nothing to do with his families) can still fit.

Accidents cna happen anywhere even in the United States, bad roads can be a contributing factor but it is not the only thing that can cause accidents. sometimes drivers don't focus on the road carefully, they allow themselves to be distracted by other things. Even by air accidents happen the only thing we can do to avoid them is when everyone is cautious and being careful not to engage in what might cause them

Sometimes we can't jump into conclusions that over speeding is the cause of road crash, sometimes alot of other things can be the cause of the incident, what if if his own car was not speeding and was run over by another car, so most time incident don't happen because of over speeding.

Very lucky, we thank God for his life, but what can we do, people will definitely travel, we must know this, whether we travel or not some shit can happen even we are careful, yea this is road tragedy, some shit can happen when we are comfortably in the house too, God is the protector of every human, and we should be vethvaraywgu to him when ever we wake up to see the next day, it is unfortunate that other folks that was with him couldn't make too sad hear this.

It's a festive season, the roads are usually very busy in the country so I assumed his driver's would have taken precautions while driving and not trying to rush.. I'm happy he's fine at least he only sustained minor injuries.. if something worse than this had happened, they literally would have pointed out some fingers to his vill people like we normally do in Africa.. Anthony Joshua is one of the sport stars that has brought home victory to Nigeria as a whole so they should take good care of such and individual while in the country.. my condolences to those families that lost their loved ones in the cause of the accident..

Well really thank God for his life, but there should be training given to this celebrities and caliba of individual who by ventue has one of two to offer the nation or society because the rate in which they lost their life in auto crash show some level of ignorance though stand to be corrected, anything can happen but it's assume most of them over speed, not just that may even be in highness or tipse before engaging on this deriving. I know that with his level even if a car can develop fault it's not the type in which most commercial user manage without proper maintenance, checking this deep down it won't be far from issue of speeding or been tipsy, all thanks for his life not being taking away.

Imagine a few days ago, he was on the headlines and enjoying his winnings and praises from many boxing fans, and now here he is, he almost died from the accident. This is the highs and lows of life; we really don't know what will happen tomorrow.

Another thing i have observed with the Nigerian road is that if you're been careful of not having a reckless driving, others that might have been driving reckless could hit you unexpectedly, which is so sad to experience, because i have someone as well in my neighborhood, trying to report of a similar case, that a car batch into her at the midst of the road leading to hit a truck ahead and about four cars were involved in such an accident.

A little mistake from the driver can lead to accident likewise over speeding it is not only the bad road that can lead to accident different things can cause accidents including a malfunction that was not traced. Well on this particular one we are yet to  get the information on the main cause of the accident but the place where they accident happen has a very good road but nobody knows if the driver was reckless or over speeding but before the end of today the information will be fully out. Don't forget that Jota died on a road accident, the road wasn't very bad and his car was also a sports car which  is very fast but everything still happened, in the case of AJ he's alive but two lives were lost.
