I think it'd be better if you look it up on google or use chatgpt you'd have more detailed answers to your question. Anyway, some of the things you can recognize on someone who might be an addict is if they gamble more than they can afford to lose, spends all day gambling, borrow's money just to gamble, get's easily emotional when they don't gamble, their personal lives starting to get affected because of gambling, etc.

I personally could just Google it and ask the GPT Chat, but that's not fun and doesn't seem realistic, it's too easy. Well, what comes to mind now after reading all the responses from pages 1 to 5 from my seniors is my curiosity about the messages and suggestions that have been conveyed, whether they can be helpful enough when someone is already trapped in it.

Recognizing the signs of addiction is a good plan, basically prevention is better than cure, this means recognizing the signs is the same as preventing the terrible incident from happening, as far as I know the signs of addiction are when a gambler has an excessive interest in gambling, usually this is because of an obsession with winning, besides that addiction can also occur when a gambler is irresponsible where losing can be something that will continue to encourage them to play.

Playing gambling may make you loss money and that will make you curious how that can happens. That makes you keep playing in the next day. You think that you can win but that is not right. If you often playing gambling, it will be difficult for you to hold from the wanting to play more. Your mind will not stop to think about gambling and makes you lose focus. You need to have self control, discipline, and other things to prevent the addiction. You don't know when gambling makes you lose control and becoming addiction so you must always control yourself. But identifying gambling addiction is not easy because the addicted person to gambling can deny that. But other people will see that person nervous, anxious, and difficult to focus to other activities.

I haven't joined yet, but I think recognizing the warning signs is better than ignoring addiction, which can have negative consequences later on.

if he/she don’t know how to identify addicted gamblers, i think he/she can't use properly chat gpt, you said answers in your last two points, a addicted gambler lifestyle or habit will be different from normal gambler, addicted gambler spend his maximum time in gambling, will borrow money from bank or friends, some pro addicted gambler sell his house, car just make gamble,

Yes, anticipating it is better than realizing it after suffering from an addiction can be a tedious task, requiring time and significant resources to treat. Gambling is always tied to emotions and an excessive desire to win, leading to an obsession with betting larger amounts to win. This is the main reason why someone can become trapped in addiction. Especially when they have had a big win in a gambling bet, it becomes a powerful motivation to bet and gamble recklessly every day.

Some of them think they will make gambling a side income.

We all know gambling involves risking something valuable for an uncertain result, but most people go beyond their limit of risking something valuable, that’s a sign of addiction in respect to gambling. There are lot of ways to identify compulsive gamblers, but one of the easiest way to identify them is;they gamble with the intention that gambling is a source of income whereas when their expectations aren’t coming to pass they would focus on chasing their losses which the chances of becoming an addict is high.It is also said that most gambling addicts are identified by the hard substances they take.

A person addicted to gambling can be easily identified. When you see a person giving more priority to gambling than the normal activities of his life, then you will think that he is addicted to gambling. Again, a person addicted to gambling spends most of the day gambling. He uses most of the money he earns to gamble. From the money he earns, he uses the entire money to gamble without fulfilling his basic needs. At the same time, he chooses gambling as a way of earning. Whether he loses or wins in gambling, he continues to gamble.

Only the person who's likely addicted will see it if it's helpful or not. But for most that are trying to identify themselves if they're near to addiction is seeing those messages and tips as helpful. Anything that's for the good sake is helpful enough for one to know and if it's pushing them away from getting trapped, you'd know that these helpful tips will be there to guide you. And if you see it that you're near to addiction, your attitude is also changing towards your close relatives and friends and even to your partner and kids.

In short, prepare for a rainy day.
In my opinion, if someone is addicted to gambling, there are a few common signs. The first and main sign is that they will gamble just to generate money, without paying any attention to it as a source of entertainment.
Then the second sign that we will see is that he never keeps a separate budget for gambling, but it is seen that he is gambling regularly even though he is beyond his ability to lose. And as an effect of this, we see another thing that he is most of the time trapped in the circle of debt and financial crisis. If you can see these common signs closely, then you will think that he is gambling addicted and he needs counseling from a specialist.

It is important to recognize the signs of addiction and when someone is involved in gambling and wants to be aware of whether they are becoming addicted, they will definitely try to prevent it. I would say that in general, the easiest thing to identify a person as addicted is if we see that the person is extremely frustrated after losing a game but even the frustration is not able to stop them from playing again. Such a lack of responsibility and the encouragement to play again even after losing can generally be considered an addiction.

In short, prepare for a rainy day.

Identifying someone who is addicted is very easy. They will experience changes in everything from their mood and time management to their finances. Simply put they always think that small capital can yield large profits they focus on winning not losing.

In my area there have been several cases recently that I can say are gambling addictions. In the first case, an employee at a shipping company stole $900 from the office to play slots. In the second case, two teenagers stole an electric bicycle, sold it for $100, and used the money to play slots. In the third case, a contract employee at a community health center embezzled $2,000, spending it on slots. What I mean is the characteristics of addicted gamblers are that they don't think long and hard they only think about how they got into gambling. To prevent addiction of course when we start to deviate or lose control of our gambling we need to take a break.

There’s a lot of signs that will let you know that a person is getting addicted to a gambling. Because if a person has getting addiction to the gambling even his lifestyle can definitely change, especially if the person is a family man their mood with his family changes, like example now if their doing 100 percent things to their family it will reduce down to 70 or 80 percent.

From their will know that the person is getting addicted to the gambling, because they will not have control over themselves even when their losing they will still continue gambling thinking that they will win; that’s why by the time their losing they don’t want to give up.

There are many ways to identify it, some that I know:

(1) Mindset
Addicted gamblers have a unique mindset, they often talk about their gambling, discuss strategies, like to chase losses (don't accept the losses they experience).

(2) Financial problem
Money will be problem for addicted gamblers, their financial fluctuations are just like meme tokens chart, sometimes we see them with a lot of money, sometimes we see them with no money to the point of looking for loans everywhere.

(3) Mental problem
Easily angry & sentimental, that's what I see bros.

Well, an addicted gambler will basically not be able to stay away from gambling, despite their wins and losses, which means that if you are unable to stay away from gambling even for a day, you are addicted to it, and that's how addictions work; whether it's gambling, drugs, food, or anything else, if you are addicted to something, you can't keep yourself away from that thing, and no matter what situation or condition you are in, you will still go and do that thing however you can. This is also why gambling addiction could be very dangerous at times.

When someone is addicted to gambling but they don't have money for it, they could do things they shouldn't do only to get some money so that they can gamble. I remember an incident where a grandfather kidnapped his own granddaughter and demanded ransom money from his son so that he can gamble with the money. You can imagine from this what gambling addiction can make people do, and this is not even 1% of the evil things people can do for money in such conditions.

When we are still gambling, the possibility of becoming addicted will always be there, so we should always be aware of this and not let a moment of carelessness lead us down the path to gambling addiction.

When you first start gambling, everything may feel safe and enjoyable, but a single win or loss can change your purpose for gambling. When you lose, you may feel the urge to win it all back, and when you win, you may feel the urge to win even more. That's how gambling works: winning becomes addictive, and losing makes you even more curious.

Two signs that someone is starting to become addicted to gambling are when they play longer than usual and when they spend more money than they are prepared to lose. To avoid this, we must set limits on gambling, both in terms of time and money.

I'm interested in asking this.

I haven't joined yet, but I think recognizing the warning signs is better than ignoring addiction, which can have negative consequences later on.

In short, prepare for a rainy day.

I didn't quite understand your question. Are you asking how to recognize the signs of gambling addiction in yourself or in others? 🙋

Recognizing gambling addiction in yourself is very simple. You have a gambling addiction if you constantly think about gambling and constantly ponder how you'll spend your winnings (which, by the way, doesn't exist yet and probably never will). You have a gambling addiction if you're into mysticism and begin to believe that by performing certain actions (i.e., rituals), you can influence the outcome of the game.

With other people, it's more difficult... It's not always easy to recognize gambling addiction in someone else, especially if that person isn't a close friend. However, sometimes people act like real zombies 🧟, and if they're actively gambling, you can definitely tell they have a gambling addiction. I've met people like that in real life.

There are many ways to identify whether someone is a gambling addict or not, but what i often encounter and discuss with addicts is that they focus more on gambling, they often make plans about gambling, they always spend time and money that should not be used (savings and necessities), they also often fantasise about how much profit they could make if they used a certain amount of capital, and most unthinkably, it is not uncommon for gambling to enter their dreams, dreaming about money that is still intact when in fact it has been lost due to gambling, or dreaming about the big wins they always want but have not yet achieved.

The easiest way I think someone can use to identify a gambling addiction is by noticing if they gamble often with amounts of money they can afford to lose. Once someone starts gambling with money they can afford to lose, it’s part of the signs of gambling addiction. Another sign is the amount of time some people spend on gambling sites or in casinos. If a person is seen there day and night, and it’s not their job at the casino, that’s a sign of gambling addiction. But the main sign is what I mentioned earlier seeing someone gamble with money they can afford to lose. It shows they don’t always care about the risks or past gambling losses, which is a clear sign of addiction.

If a person builds their plans and strategies solely around making money from gambling and does not realize their responsibility to at least cover their basic needs, then they definitely already have problems with addiction. However, this is only one of the indicators that may point to addiction. People who have too much free time can also develop various dependencies, simply because they have the resources for it. If a person is busy and has clear plans for life, they are unlikely to abandon themselves to the will of chance and the probability of winning.

A bunch of ways but the common one is..

If a person doesn't care about his money, blindly betting without control. Also, if they can't control their emotions like they get angry or irritated easily, even for their loved ones, that's a major sign too. Lose streak is not an issue to them, they just want to play and play until jackpot hits, no risk management and just pure gamble. Last, believes on jackpot, rewards and luck, people thought it's going to be easy run, but gambling don't work that way, it's gonna be a hard journey if not played well.
