Could Quantum Probably be a threat to Bitcoin?

The title already made a clear interpretation of the content of this thread and I am creating this in response to how some members of the forum have been saying all manner of things regarding Bitcoin and quantum, some have been taking it task on themselves to paint Bitcoin as what it is not, claiming that there's possibly an attack from quantum on the bitcoin network.

But I have this to set as a disclaimer to all that might be said concerning Bitcoin, because if you check most of the threads on Bitcoin discussions, we counter the allegations of Bitcoin's possible threat from quantum, so I would like my fellow Nigerians to also understand why Bitcoin could not see quantum as a possible threat to attack.

Read the image clearly, digest and understand the meaning from what has been illustrated, and find the answer to why quantum cannot be a threat to Bitcoin.

Quantum computing wouldn’t be a threat to bitcoin in the future because by the time which it will evolve into something that can compromise a private key very fast,  the network will be better than now and Quantum computers will target mostly the addresses that were reused, so the quantum threat is avoidable to some extent.

There is a topic that covers all the current and future Threat to bitcoin by Dogedegen in Bitcoin discussion, I suggest everyone read that post, because it very informative. Current and Future Threat to Bitcoin

Most of the people spreading this news about “Quantum Computing being a threat to Bitcoin” just want to cause FUD amongst users who don’t fully understand this whole thing, if you observe closely you will see it.

Could Quantum Probably be a threat to Bitcoin?

Of course the evolution of quantum should be a big threat to the encryption in crypto not basically on the bitcoin it self  and it is a serious concern for the future of bitcoin. This thread has actually lead to many dialogue on how to save the crypto world in a post quantum era. One of the suggestions I saw was the quantum resistance algorithm to the Addresses holding bitcoin this will be like an upgrade to the security system there by transferring those coins to a more secure wallet which would be quantum resistant and that will solve all the problem.

Read the image clearly, digest and understand the meaning from what has been illustrated, and find the answer to why quantum cannot be a threat to Bitcoin.

It’s might be possible to breaks into the private key because of how fast I think they claimed it will be in performance but for sure there will be upgrade if there is need to and everything will be fine no ned to panic as such it will not be a threat.

We are unnecessarily tense about quantum computers, especially if the quantum computers we consider a threat will actually work in a practical sense.
To keep the qubits of a quantum computer operational, a temperature of -273 degrees Celsius is required, which is practically impossible to achieve.
Haha, Such a low temperature would be necessary to maintain the (1,0) superposition of the qubits, but semiconductors would not work at such low temperatures.
The biggest thing is that if quantum computers really are a threat to Bitcoin, then Satoshi will become active again and create a security fence. Or Gavin Anderson, they will definitely create a security fence for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin ---SHA-256
Bitcoin Classic security 2^256
Today classical computer security 2^128
But
Quantum computer 2^60 (impossible) but 2^256( impossible ^256)

No tension.. cheers!!!

Could Quantum Probably be a threat to Bitcoin?

This is tiring. This year alone, we have seen more topics about Quantum computers being a threat to Bitcoin than regular topics, generally in the forum.

If Quantum computers are to be a threat, they would have struck a long time ago. Bitcoiners are the ones putting fear in their mind. Also, do you think devs will sit and watch Quantum computers attack Bitcoin?
