I don't think that's true at all.

First, the Bitcoin knowledge rabbit hole goes so deep that most of us will never truly understand how it works at the basest levels, because we don't care enough to spend that much time on it. I'm learning new things about Bitcoin all the time, sometimes through my own trial and error in interacting with the network. There is always something to learn about Bitcoin that you didn't know before.

Second, there's a lot of new and interesting things happening around Bitcoin all the time, its just that it requires more than a surface-level attempt to uncover what they are. Again, most people don't want to put the time into the digging, and that is because they seem this forum more as a job than an opportunity to educate oneself.

It is true...

Quantum FUD created an environment for some discussion for a while but it seems it died off too. I don't see anybody talking about it anymore... We used to talk about Lightning Network, Segwit, Big blocks, smol bollocks, fake satoshi (missing in action btw)...

All of these topics are resolved. (maybe except for the quantum fud, not sure)

And you know what?

That might actually be a good thing.

It shows that bitcoin is matured.

It shows, bitcoin network is somewhat similar to the torrent network.

It is doing its job and that's it.

This is going a little off-topic, but not entirely, since it stems from the previous conversation. In my case, of the many things I see that could be discussed, the most recent has been the failed BIP 110 proposal, which ended in a hard fork. There is a thread on the forum that I have been reading without commenting, and also gathering information from outside the forum.

This is the most recent, so, yeah, I think there is still a lot of things to discuss about bitcoin.

Can we go back to the person in question who is the focus of this thread's discussion?

Any suggestions about who his previous accounts might have been are appreciated.

Even without signature incentives, not everybody would be interested in, 'digging'. As PrivacyG (what does, 'G' stands for, I reckon, 'Good'?) said, you don't need to know know-all to drive a car, the surface level knowledge is enough to make use of a thing, and that's enough. It's folly to expect more or worse to judge others since people have different priorities, different passions; life is short anyhow and time and energy is not enough to spread it everywhere.
