Gambling was good part of me last year and so will it be this year also because I am not addicted to gambling in any way, last year I did not spend high amount of money on gambling and I always use small amount of money to gamble. I did not go beyond my gambling budget which is what that is most important in calculating if I am addicted or not.

behind your humor you have highlighted a harsh reality. people often become emotionally affected for a short time after reading stories of others’ losses but show very little interest in changing their own behavior. in the case of gambling or other risky habits most people believe they are in control or that the outcome will be different for them. this confidence ultimately leads them toward the same mistakes. in reality people do not want direct advice because habit greed and instant excitement overpower logic. as a result warnings are read but lessons are not learned. this is why similar tragic stories are repeated again and again. although the comment is sarcastic it clearly reflects human unwillingness to learn and self deception. no matter how many times people make mistakes there is still hope that one day they will become aware take responsibility and step away from harmful habits.

but that day often never comes. they keep repeating the same actions again and again. in truth gambling itself is built that way.

The "slow-but-surely" approach. That would be better. You can't be rich in just one gambling seating unless you either a stupid lucky guy who won millions of dollars in Lotto, or you won a significant amount of money in a poker tournament.

TBH, I don't know if I have some bad attitudes when it comes to gambling. I can control myself, and my spendings as well. I'm not the type of gamblers who's overspending as well. I'm not the type of gambler where I'm being affected by it in a negative way. It's 2026 already. When will we change our bad habits when it comes to gambling? When gambling affects our life in a negative way? Gamble what you are willing to afford to lose. Don't overspend, and learn to accept losses because there will always be times where we will lose in gambling because that's just how it is.

Gambling is not the way for me earn much money and enjoy as have fun only, if loss exactly already because my money allocated only $50 but if win I don't deposit huge still the same amount of my allocated weekly. Gambling is not a way for me to earn serious money; it’s purely for entertainment. If I lose, it’s already accounted for. If I win, I don’t increase my deposits  I stick to the same weekly limit. Discipline is the key for me.

Happy new year to you as well. When we gamble, we have to change our attitude towards the bets that we do. We have to learn to let go when it's no longer worth it. For example that we've been losing so much already, forget about recovering it. You will even lose more if you aim to recover all of it. So, you're right that we have to gamble for fun and forget all of those potential profitability that we're going to miss if we don't aim for it.
