Having the mentality of winning without losing is what have driven most people into high addiction and losing in the long run but being that as it may be, having a successful gambling experience have a lot to do with decipline and restrictions from a lot of actions that most heavy gamblers may think is a waste of time for them.

I have been in a position where I lost money that I cannot afford to lose anymore, and I was so frustrated after realizing what I had done. That is the hard truth, you can't make money in just one gambling session. Money that can set up you for life. I think that everyone looks forward to a new beginning in their life yet we have to be careful at what we wish for, now most gamblers I know are looking forward or have in their ambitions and objectives to hit a huge jackpot to change their life as I used myself to dream about this. Let me warn you though, this dream as a dream is extremely beautiful but in real life it is very difficult to achieve it for many gamblers and that is why most of them like me give up after trying in vain for so many years. The funniest thing is that it takes less than 2 minutes to make a gambling plan, but those that will be addicted would be until they learn their lessons. Gamblers shouldn't wait any longer to make changes for their lives. To start with little details and habits can be a good beginning. They have to identify the initial trigger which makes them disfunctional gamblers, so they can develop strategies to avoid it. If the gambler doesn't do it for himself, I fear nobody else is going to do, because the change has to come from inside each individual at first place. Once it happens, then people around can also help somehow by giving advices and emotional support.

I can't say for sure how one can feel if we stop gambling at all, I can't prescribe that but what I can say is that applying caution and quiting when we know we have start to lose more than we can afford and tending to slid into into something unimaginable, that point we needed to make appropriate time and space to avoid that in other to have a successful ending in gambling.

I use 1% most of the time from my weekly income to gamble and it is not more than that, this helped me a lot not to gamble more that necessary for me. If all the 1% is gone, I stop gambling. Some people may make it up to 5% but it should not exceed such amount.

Honestly, it is very important to be aware that gambling is not a quick route to wealth. This is highly unlikely to happen because if your focus is purely on profit, you will never be satisfied until you reach your desired winning target.
