I was told this some years ago, that as a beginner, I should think of how to contribute to the forum and not the other way round.

What you mentioned in side on the post is what you get from the forum and they must not be financially favors or something, but with the sense and Ideas sharing together has also tried educated people and also those who finds their way into sig campaign are well reaping from what they had achieve of their activeness on the community as the forum usually accept those who are active involving themselves into dip and serious conversation. Before demanding a New Year's gift from the bitcointalk, first ask yourself a reasonable question: what useful "contribution" have you made to the forum over the past year, and how have you earned this reward by "demanding" it?

The forum isn't a place where gifts are handed out (although reward contests are often held there, and truly active users have every chance of winning prizes). It's a place where the main "gift" is knowledge and information, for which you pay nothing. Completely free. What more do you need?

That's an extreme misplacement of thought.
It's not a bad idea if the forum have December and New year packages for active members but that such did not happen doesn't warrant saying fuck the forum.
To start with, you are not even an active member and just wondering how and when you did all the learning and learning is actually a great deal and bonuses on this platform! The bonus you are talking about can still happen but that's an extra bonus.

Human nature is so streamlined to the pattern of always wanting to receive more than giving, but life isn't all about that, the same way we are expecting form others, there are some that also depends on you for their own information and growth, why are we much of being involved in demanding than giving, isn't it more important that we give than to receive.

The forum doesnt give you anything for the new year in monetary here is a place where you get legit information on how you build you life around the crypto community. If you know what you are doing in the forum the bunches of information you’re getting here is enough as a new year gift. And if your so bothered about the monetary aspect I guess they did new year contests on most of the local board Whats stoped you from participating and probably win some money for your self but the bottom line is there isn’t free money in the forum you gotta learn work and eat.
