Bitcoin during black fridays

I know it has passed but let’s sit for the idea for a while. For those that are not aware of black fridays, it’s basically an annual shopping event in the US whereas retailers offer massive discounts inviting huge crowds shopping that day. It made me think how can bitcoin play its part during black fridays. If retailers offer bitcoin payments, more shoppers may even come to their stores and their transactions will only be seamless and easy.

With bitcoin’s growing use, we might see black friday this year with bitcoin playing a huge part in it. I read this article about it though, do you agree?

Are there still black Friday? I have noticed that it is only called black Friday but the prices of the goods remain the same with normal days. Also have you seen black Friday that you will think the price of the goods are cheap but become cheaper in January than the black Friday? Although what I noticed more is that black Friday is not like the old time when it was truly real.

Yes, expect people to use fiat or stable coins that are pegged to fiat price more in purchasing things, people prefer to hold bitcoin instead.

Well that should be for the sellers and the buyers to worry about, honestly I think having multiple payment options is the long term solution  you can offer a variety of payment options for people to choose from.
Yes Bitcoin is volatile but can still serve as a medium of payment so it is up to you to keep it as a store of value.

I think we usually assume that people stop investing in Bitcoin because they spend it in black markets where things are discounted. But we forget that smart investors know how to allocate their funds. There’s money for expenses and there’s money for investing, those two don’t mix.

Same idea with using Bitcoin for purchases and for investing. It’s the same coin, but it serves different purposes.

Maybe we are not that conscious of the already existing black days for bitcoin during a market fall, we don't need a specific targets on a day or season for the market to go down, because it has always been volatile before now, which renders everyone investment opportunity to utilize the advantage of investing, buy the dip and hold, black Friday may not perfectly fit in for bitcoin downtrend because it's volatility should be unpredictable.

I do not remember spending Bitcoin on any Black Friday and it honestly does not seem very convenient.  If you have limited time offers you want to catch, I understand why payments with instant confirmation such as VISA and MasterCard are preferred because if you use Bitcoin you will definitely not be able to catch up with others who will be using these and you will miss offers.  Am I wrong?

The "Black Friday" event is pretty much a global thing nowadays, it's not limited to the USA only.
Bitcoin being accepted as payment method by the merchants on "Black Friday"? If the merchants had any benefit of accepting BTC/crypto payments, they would've started accepting cryptocurrency payments years ago. Let's be honest here. Bitcoin(or any other Crypto coin) will never be massively adopted by the retail sector. The topic has been discussed a million times and there's no point going back and repeating the same reasons. The merchants could adopt stablecoins, but there's no big difference in paying with digital fiat(credit/debit cards) in comparison to paying with stablecoins.

Bitcoin could play a part if it is acceptable as payment means in the retail outlet and it's price could be relatively affected with mass buy and sell orders. These ideology would depend on whether customers are comfortable with paying with Bitcoin or any other payments means but with Bitcoin, the market could experience a slight volatility depending on the volume of Bitcoin bought and sold. So yes, it could be a practical experience that would also help integrate Bitcoin as a payment means into the system for better publicity.

If there is a special discount for Bitcoin payment, then yes, maybe some Bitcoin holders would purchase some goods, whether they're small or big.  If the discount is the same for all the payment methods, then most probably you will not find many buyers through Bitcoin payment. Because they have to spend higher fees and wait a bit more than cash payments. Lightning would help to lessen the fees and increase the speed, but very few merchants are aware of using the Lightning Network. So alone, Black Friday offers won't draw attention from Bitcoin users.

We know people consider Bitcoin as an investment opportunity rather than a global payment system. So people will not be interested in spending their holdings; instead, they will get profits from the volatile and the by-hold as well. If there is something special in Bitcoin payment, then people might be interested in spending and buying it back with cash. You can say in general there's a 50% discount, but for Bitcoin it's a 40% discount, so holders will be interested to spend their Bitcoin since they could buy it back easily, and they also save extra money.

What OP is trying to suggest has happened to numerous online shopping opportunities to use BTC and does not necessarily fall on Black Fridays only.

I don’t know why you think people’s transactions would be seamless with a Bitcoin enabled payment method. Have you considered the fact that, there are bad actors that might swap wallet addresses when given the chance and the confirmation time for Bitcoin transactions… all these are of necessity to arrive at certain conclusions.

I might agree with you that having options always presents customers or potential clients with the comfort to use means that is of most convince. Aside from the quality of products and services you give, options to work with in terms of payment method is of relatively importance.

I don't think there is an essence to talks about this Black Friday of a thing as it just like dragging out what that has passed and we are still posting it here. However, In black friends there are people who could be doing that transaction payment through digital currencies such Bitcoin, Ethereum TRX and many other coins that charges less. I have also came a across fashion & designer who has shops many place has also started to receive bitcoin on their services. It make things that freer and easier for people who are at home monitoring how things are working out for them.
