How was trading for you in 2025?

Yes, I made money in 2025 although not as big as I expect. But that is enough because my profit was still bigger than usual. I am more happy seeing my profit and I can buy some gift to my beloved.

But I can't expect of making money in trading mostly because the market fluctuating. But I can hope that this year will still be in profit and I need to keep learning to improves my skills.

I don't have big expectations this year because we already seeing new ATH last year. But I will still trading this year and hope I can make money for more.

Well for me I trade once in a while and I have been the one gaining more because I don't rush I usually calm down to trade. I mostly focus on long term investment and that is where I put my discretionary income into more, I only trade when I have more discretionary income for that week. One thing I have learned so far is that whenever you are trading don't be in a rush you need to calm down and think very well because when you are in a rush to make profit you will lose a lot of money but when you calm down believe me you will gain more than you are losing because trading need you to think very well in order to gain profit and if you rush you cannot think very well.

Even though I am not an active trader myself, the year was kinda terrible for me. I had been holding altcoins for years, hoping that we would see an altcoin season. Some of the altcoins became worthless, but I was unable to recover my losses from those altcoins. I have tried leveraging trading a couple of times in 2025. While everyone was making a profit on their trades, I lost every trade. I always predicted the wrong side.

I am still holding my altcoins and I hope we will see a altseason soon. I plan to recover my loss from trading this year. I made some mistakes last year, which I will keep in mind when I will trade this year.

Trading has been a life saver for me since I paid attention to it a few years ago. 2025 was a better year than the ones before it. I've improved a lot and have come to realize the important role self discipline and money management play in trading. With those two and a great trading plan, success is just sitting at the corner. I know, certainly, that 2026 will surpass 2025 in my trading journey.

As for those saying what's preventing them from trading is capital to fund their accounts, that's not true. It should be trading skills, not funds. If one knows what one is doing, with as little as $20 one can start up and build from that.

Trading in the crypto market in 2025 is not friendly to me, whatever trading method I use is not in my favor, margin, futures, Spot are all nonsense, for that reason trading is not very friendly to me.

For this reason, in 2025 I will prefer investing in the crypto market, because the trading situation is not in my favor, of course I will switch to investing, maybe I will wait for the crypto market to stabilize to do a comeback, maybe 2026 is suitable, but I will also see how the market develops before doing so.

For me it was good, though not better. Made some handsome amounts from the trading; it would be better if I hadn't lost my last trade. But still I am in profits from the trading and holding as well. My current holding is above my purchase price except for ARB. Otherwise, the overall trading experience is pretty good for me. I lost some funds for my mistake, so I don't want to repeat that mistake this year, and I hope, like last year, I will have good profits as well.

I made money from ETH trading, but in the last trade I cancelled stop losses. As a result, ETH dumped hard, though it is still above my initial purchase price. But if I hadn't cancelled the stop loss, then my ETH holding would be double now. So changing my initial decision cost me a lot. But still I am happy, because I made money, but my holdings exist the same. Though I don't want to repeat the mistake, I want to repeat the trade.

ETH is a good cryptocurrency for holding a long time for your investment portfolio and even as store of value like Bitcoin. Ethereum blockchain has an advantage that other altcoin blockchains, including the Binance Smart Chain and BNB, mostly don't have. It's kind of decentralized but clearly ETH can not be decentralized like Bitcoin blockchain, but it is still better than BSC and BNB that are centralized by Binance and CZ.

About your trade and that cancel decision which are bad but is big lesson for you and everyone who read your post, and the story. In trading, don't act emotionally, let's find your entry and at the same time your exit price, then use stop loss or stop limit order. Don't hesitate to close your position when it is bad and it's recommended to set up either the stop loss or stop limit order.

For me, 2025 was tough. There were some gains, but they didn't make up for the mistakes at all. I forced entries and practically let frustration control me. However, I don't see it as a total failure. It was a learning experience and also a wake-up call. The lesson I learned was that trading without discipline is basically giving money away, so for 2026, my simple approach will be fewer trades, more control, and knowing when to stop.

Actually 2025 was supposed to be a good year to make profits. I would like to ask, from how long are you into trading? If you have recently started in 2025 than it is understandable to make mistakes and end up in loss but if you have a couple of years' experience than you should have been able to make good profits in 2025. We saw a really bullish growth in 2025 which amused me. You should consider gaining some more experience and knowledge in paper trading before you can start investing your money again because 2026 can be tough to be honest. It can be challenging to make profits in 2026 as compared to 2025.

I did not make huge profits in 2025, but I did not make any loss as well. I was able to open a few positions and close them profitable without even hitting the SL and that's why I think 2025 was supposed to be a good year for trading.

I ended my trading positively. I am pleased, but I know I could do more with trading. The thing I improved on was not watching it consistently; I let the trade come to me instead of forcing anything, because, from my experience, that's how I lose. I make sure that I have the correct position sizing and never go above something I would risk losing. This was at the end of my trading time.

There was a portion of my year when I held a position for months because I didn't really want to lose money, and I'm thankful I got out of that position with minimal losses, which is ideal.

Additionally, trading automatically is fun. Just letting it do its job.

I made profit by trading in 2024 but in 2025 I lost all that in trading haha, typical behaviour anyway I am now focusing now other things now at the moment and not trading anymore but I am open to the opportunities and whenever I will find any like short term only I might take it.

But one of my plans is to accumulate more btc, but first I have to buy few things and sort out some other things but I am pretty sure to accumulate more btc in the meantime.

I like these questions because they are self-evaluating.

For me, trading was a rollercoaster one in 2025, but in the end, I could still boldly say I narrowly ended the year in profits. It wasn't so easy at a point due to the emotion of wanting more profits, and you know how dangerous that could be. I had to fight that for a while by taking breaks from trading to avoid complications. This helped me a lot to self-reset.

Trading should be traded with a neutral mind of a long-term goal, any moment we starts getting beings desperate is the time we would lose miserably.

It's hard to say, but one thing is certain, 2025 was the most difficult/sad year since i started learning about crypto. Throughout that year, the profits i made came purely from Bitcoin investments, while trading suffered many losses. As we know, in 2025 there was a lot of bad news that came out suddenly, triggering stop losses that left only rejection without a breakout. That was a stroke of bad luck, especially when Bitcoin's price experienced a flash dump, hitting $80k, while my stop-loss orders were still in place there. 

The rest, such as projects with airdrops, barely yielded anything, and even retroactive projects, which supposedly used capital, did not provide meaningful returns. In fact, many of those projects have yet to conduct their Token Generation Event (TGE).

May 2026 be a better year than the previous one, both for traders and long-term investors. It is important to generate as much money as possible this year.

Depends a bit, I mean I clicked "neither made money nor lost money" because at the end of the day I have nothing left to show. But I also would like to point out, I did made some profit that went to paying off some debts, which means I did made some money, but then I didn't make anything else.

I have a bit of debt left, and I have even some left to pay it off a small amount, like 10% of could be paid but I am keeping it as investment for now in certain things. So yeah, it is not easy to handle this, we just need to realize things aren't always that easy and sometimes they are harder than what it looks like.

I don't trade much. I usually buy and forget about it, then check the market to see if there has been an increase or decrease. But if I have enough free time when my children are asleep, I usually do some quick trading once in a while. However, if I look at the profits I made last year, I think I did make a profit. Although there are still some positions that are currently in a loss, today it seems like that will turn into a profit because I see the market sentiment shifting quite positively. So I hope this year goes well for me in terms of crypto trading, investments, and my business.

I do p2p trades but it has become lot lesser compared to the previous years, so I think I have to stick with nothing because I don't do traditional trade on exchanges anymore, just buy and keep holding and I just use them again only when I want to cashout or buy some bitcoins again if there is a dump.
