How was trading for you in 2025?

Well I did more of learning last year, lost alot of money yes but I did learn.
This year the grind continues, I choose keep on learning and getting better in forex trading, sometimes just think about only learning keep the money mindset aside first, once you get enough knowledge to trade the money will definitely be attracted to you.

At least you have now learned from your own experience. And usually that will lead to improvement. And remember, it is very rare for anyone to succeed in trading after only a few attempts. I also experienced the same thing in the beginning. But as long as we don't give up and continue to learn from our mistakes, we can start to correct our bad habits in the market. The most important thing is that we understand various analyses well and, in practice, we must be disciplined in following the plans we have made ourselves. Currently, we can learn from many sources. But what will remain most valuable is learning from our own experiences.

2025 was a very good year for me in terms of trading, especially Bitcoin trading, if I don't like trading all other coins much except for a few coins. In the few trades I did in 2025, I lost very little and won more, I think 2025 was a much better season for the market compared to other years. If I compare the trading in 2025, I am not in loss but in profit. Before that, I did some trading in BNB, Ethereum, and Bitcoin, which gave me profit. Apart from trading, I like to do some things that make me realistic; however, it is not possible to make a profit if you don't have experience in trading. Of course, if you know good analysis about the market, the loss will be less.

Trading last year for me was an opportunity to learn, unlearn and relearn. I did this because it became necessary as I needed to improve, I had in the past years struggled with finding certain feets trading but with these exercise I did embarked on, I can say for sure, I have been able to gain some sort of clarity with certain things I had before taught I wouldn't be exactly clear about, I got to understand and know that time and conscious efforts was what I needed and when I did, I saw results which got be very thinking very positive about this year 2026.

At one time I was very interested in trading but for a few years I did not spend much time on trading and 2025 was one of them. However, I made a lot of profit in the time I was involved in trading. Especially I made a good profit by investing in Bitcoin, although it cannot be called trading, but I did not hold it for a very long time, so I think of it as trading. I think 2026 will be better, although the bear season may be seen in the market during this time.

I would say that it is huge as an investor and trader. I only do spot trading. I think that I really learn a lot through the years of trading, back in the day a lot of mistakes and I always end up losing money when I start to invest in cryptocurrency or Bitcoin etc. Back in the end one of mistake I always do when trading or investing is I always end up selling my investment early or I just dont but and hold for a long term, most of the time if there are some emergency I would easily result to selling my investment or my coins.

It is a huge mistake on my side since if I just hold the tokens until today for sure I surely earn a huge amount of money today, but still this 2025 I can say that I improve a lot in my trading, I do not directly trade like futures, I only do the spot trading and I think I did everything right this 2025, since the start of the year I already started accumulating Bitcoin and other coins, and end up selling Bitcoin every time it get a huge pump and eventually I came to a conclusion to sell it since I think market price is going to dump, and I was able to sell it at the top of 126k$ and right now since the market drop everyscene I was already able to buyback some of my Bitcoin. I would say that I improve a lot of always aim to be ahead of most of the trader and I think it is the best way to earn money.

2025 was the bull year for anyone who used it. People do not realize this but late 2024 and all of 2025 was there to make it go up. We started summer of 2024 much lower, and by October of 2025 we were pretty high, and that is a bull run. During bull run, my most of technical thing usually works and this 4 year cycle of bitcoin is not an exception. But, December month's stagnant market led to significant decline in profit level as market was not giving enough price movement.

Normally we do have shocking super speed bull run and that is what people expected, daily 10x tokens news and what not but that wasn't the case here. Instead, from summer of 2024 to October of 2025 we went up a ton in almost everything, so profiting was easy for most of us.

I did profit and then lost some of it but overall I made profit, I was not actively trading but only in the first quarter and lost most of it at that time, and when in September and October, alts started to show some good signs I was in either profit or my coins was at break even price so I close and saved me a lot of money because the loss I saved is the profit haha.

Now my plans are to accumulate bitcoin, but 2025 was really not that bad it was full of new experiences for me and I am sure for everyone it was too. I am more excited to see the 2026 how it will go, are we going to see bear cycle or super cycle.

And this happened twice, costing me everything I had saved for quite some time.

I made some profit from some trading in 2025; most important for me is that I learned some lessons about the market, lessons I believe will help me become better in this new year.

I longed ETH, and I was expecting it will go high, but it kept going down, and the mistake I made was that I kept adding margin into the trade so that it wouldn't get liquidated, but the market kept going down, and then my trade got liquidated because I didn't have any more funds to add into the trade. And this happened twice, costing me everything I had saved for quite some time.

It will happen a third time if you have not learned the lesson, the lesson which is knowing how to take and accept a loss. It is one of the lessons I have learned.

2025 was a bad year for me at the beginning because I was following the wrong strategy and found it difficult to let go of my ideas. However, I then decided to stop and change my strategy, and the results were much better by the end of the year.

In short, I was following a strategy of quick trades on highly volatile coins. While I was initially profitable, these trades quickly turned into losses, so I decided to abandon this approach and shift to medium- and long-term trading with stronger, less volatile coins.

Initially I had a good trading year because most of the trades I made went very well, the profitability of each month went consistently good profits and I had made a thread here and showed a little bit of most of my trades during the year 2025, then that changed after the massive liquidation of the entire market on October 10 and I also wrote it here which was formed out of a sense of disappointment because of the huge liquidation.

Overall I lost quite a bit of money in 2025 due to the liquidation, luckily some of the positions were not on the same exchange and I still had enough money left over to trade this year, hopefully it won't happen again.

What makes things worse is that sometimes we don't use stop-losses, so we end up with no limits on the amount of losses we can afford. Adding capital to increase margin won't always help, because when the coin we're trading experiences a significant drop, we won't be able to withstand the liquidation. I also traded in futures without setting a stop-loss, ultimately losing all my capital, and that was a crucial lesson in my trading journey. Nowadays, I am more disciplined and when I intend to trade, I always consider stop-loss because based on experience, when this is ignored the trade can end worse.

Yes, I made quite decent amount. But that was when the market was quite stable, but when everything suddenly looks like uncertain, I stay out of trading and just focus on hodling alone. I do DCA when I have extra money from my earnings, especially when btc price drops sharply, but when it slowly recover, I just stick to hodling.

I'm not actually a pro trader, since I'm more on gambling. But maybe this year, if there'll be bigger opportunities for me to make substantial profits, I would also want to maximize my trading potentials and hidden strategies.

I don't agree with you. Bitcoin's price or even the positive movements of the market don't always make traders make profits, but they make investors profitable. For traders, even if they are doing spot trading, it's important for them that the market dips every now and then, so that they can buy coins lower that then they can sell higher. Someone who buys at the bottom and keeps holding until they make a profit on it are called investors and not traders.

Talking about futures traders, then let me remind you that most of the future traders lost significant amounts of money in the recent Bitcoin crash, some even lost all their life-savings and committed suicide, so many people lost everything because they had all their money invested in futures trades and they all got liquidated. So, it will be wrong to say that this year was very profitable for most traders, because most traders must have lost a lot of money within the last few months of this year. You could say that investors made a lot of profits this year.

Not that bad really. I made some few gains, but I make sure my losses aren't bigger compared to my gains. I am not actually a good trader and I seldom do trading, that is when I think the market will favor my trades. And most importantly, I just trade whenever I'm ready to trade, having some few spare money from paying all my bills and other obligations.

I have to say, having patience and great discipline as a trader makes me a good one. Our good strategies and skills will be nothing if we don't have proper risk management and discipline when we start trading in the market.

2025 wasn’t a sad year, I was able to make some amounts of money last year, it’s wasn’t my best year, but I was able to achieve some things with the money I made from trading. I traded last year but it’s not something I do so often, but I will say I made some profits from trading last year, and I lose some money. If anyone tells you that they don’t lose from trading, then we all know the person is deceiving himself, you can’t be a trader without losing.

We are already in a new year, if you noticed that the strategy which you were using in 2025 isn’t longer effective, then make sure you improve your strategy, if your loss is more than your win, then something is wrong, and you should stop trading until everything is right.

It was more of a learning year to many traders in 2025 and in the process, there is usually the cost of loss. The market and Bitcoin, in particular, rewarded those people who already had good strategies and discipline but also overconfidence was punished. It will be prudent to concentrate on education rather than rushing to make fast money, particularly in forex where time and risk management is of great concern. Knowledge is not sufficient however but proper risk management and emotional control is equally significant. Provided the market continues to provide another intense bullish run, the traders who have taken the time to enhance their skills would be in a far better position to capitalise on the opportunity.
