How was trading for you in 2025?

It was more of a learning year to many traders in 2025 and in the process, there is usually the cost of loss. The market and Bitcoin, in particular, rewarded those people who already had good strategies and discipline but also overconfidence was punished. It will be prudent to concentrate on education rather than rushing to make fast money, particularly in forex where time and risk management is of great concern. Knowledge is not sufficient however but proper risk management and emotional control is equally significant. Provided the market continues to provide another intense bullish run, the traders who have taken the time to enhance their skills would be in a far better position to capitalise on the opportunity.

2025 was a year of learning and more experience to me because the market could be so tempting and will probably try to lure you in but discipline traders stay disciplined and avoid excess trading in a day but those traders who lacks discipline and easily get moved by hypes are easily used as liquidity and that just the price we pay when we make excess entries in a single day.
 However, I learnt many things from this year both in the market movement and emotional maturity. I learn to control my emotions more better than other previous years, did also learnt that not all dips or pumps are opportunities sometimes it better to stay off the market because traps are everywhere.
But I did made satisfying profits that I never thought would have happen so soon but it all part of the procedure.

Trading in 2025 for me doesn't end up well, it's purely a roller coaster, although my total profit is good since I've been holding since a while, I tried to get some of these savings to try and turn it around in trading but I've been consumed by emotions which some of my trades are ended up losing and sometimes my greed comes, where I can literally take profit for around 150-200% but I let my greed took over me and liquidate that position. Though I didn't lose that much but that's an opportunity that turns into stone and I'll make sure that this 2026 that I'll be more careful and be on the technical side or probably set a bot so my emotions won't interfere.

My trades if they are said to be bad enough in 2025, more money lost because of some of my stupidity.
Trading as usual might result in some profits at first, but that made me suffer a lot of losses for going into memecoins that initially gave me huge profits,
but then made those profits disappear instantly because I had no control over trading memecoins.

Earn huge profits on 1 memecoin, but more losses on other memecoins, it is indeed a very high risk trading in memecoins,
it is better to trade on the top coins only, such as Bitcoin for the long term and the top altcoins for short term trading.

2025 brings me no profits, more losses and I started learning how to manage finances and trades to keep my portfolio safe, Now, I'm starting with a ZERO balance.

Comparing to 2024, I did better last year, but I would say that unfortunately, I still lost money for the whole year.
The difference though is that, I learned more especially when it comes to formulating a strategy, and because of that, I learned how to mitigate losses. A thing that I didn't learn 2 years ago. I learned way more last year also in terms of how to handle my emotions especially when I'm on a losing streak.

I'm still at a loss last year, but that doesn't mean that I will be stopping from trading. I might make some adjustments in order to preserve my capital, adjust the strategy so that it will work for me in the long run. I do hope that many here made money in one way or another in trading, and maybe we should have a thread where we can share the strategies that we are using so that newbies can have a basis on making their own strategy. I mean I know that the strategy that works for me might not work to others, but sharing strategies could be fun as well.

I'm a beginner trader. Since last spring, I've been reading here and there about all the intricacies of trading, starting with great enthusiasm, thinking that trading would help me solve my financial problems. But no. I ended up completely lost, and now I've decided to start the year with gradual learning, using advice from experienced traders here and in other places, including YouTube and social media.

There is a lot to correct you on. I'd start with you shouldn't solely depend on trading to solve your financial problems. There is something called a job were an employer hires you and pays you a salary, that is a much smarter thing to do. Sorry about your losses in trading, but it was expected, it is always expected when you trade, either as a novice or a professional, losses can happen. It is just worse for a beginner because you are somewhat going in blindly and prolly even know nothing about risk management.

It is good you have decided to learn more about trading, be careful about information you get on social media, influencers tell lots of lies to make money for themselves. That said, hodling bitcoin might be a much better idea for you than trading, have you thought about that?

This year actually didn't seem favorable, yea, I lost so much in two different occasions of market collapse last year but at some point, I also slowed down on my trading activities because I had to do other things that was very demanding. I just hope that this year can be better for me, but I also need some motivation, looking like I'm getting tired  .

Last year of 2025 it seems i become profitable at least I earned couple of dollars well im a scalper and a swing trader I focus with the higher time frames which is easier to read well unlike with the lower time frame traders tooks me a while before earned my profit but i still guaranteed to have gains compared with the previous cycle of 2023. It seems its more on the down of the market and PNL to me but this year is quite different I guess lesson learned to my second cycle but still im looking forward to more such as strategy and technique to becomes more profitable this 2026 trading journey.

I can say that my profits is not bad but I lose few to futures when the good was not there again. When the market was doing well, it was very easy to make trade and make money without liquidation but now I don't know if it's exchanges that are involved in liquidation of users, I'm not sure but many people are guilty of this, when you long you are liquidated and when you short you are liquidated, the the people are not losing or making money but exchange is making money from fee.

Some months were fun but ember were the worst time to trade. If not that this new year January the market is trying to make an upside move, I don't think there has been any good moment for the market but I believe nobody will want to miss all time high from the yearly candle, so they are opening position some are closing and some are opening. As for me, I'm neural about the market for now, I don't want to be emotionally brought down because of market.

Trading last year wasn’t  totally a bad one, i was able to make some profits, and also I lost some money which I think it’s right. Trading is all about profits and loss, just that we are suppose to always make sure our profits is just more than our loss. Actually I made some money last year, but I don’t have the calculation of the amount that I lost, and the amount that I won, I don’t really have time for that right now.

Some traders lost some money last year, the dump which happened towards the ending of the year, lots of people lost some money. Before the dip most people were just so confident that  bitcoin price was going to pump, most people never expected the dip which people lost so much during the dip.

Trading wasn't what I really cared about, because I cared about profiting from long term holding since I  knew this was the bull year, while I did not profit much and nearly even broke even, I have been happy, but trading wasn't the reason. Trading works on volatile years, and if it's one direction then it's not good. So in four year cycles, best trading is not the bull year and not the bear year, it is the in between. One example is that 2022 was bad year, 2021 was bad year, but 2023 and 2024 were better.

Because they were not bear or bull, they were in between. On bear, you buy low, on bull you sell high, but in other in between years you end up trading as much as you want to make as much profit as you can.

Last year was very profitable for most traders because of the way the price of Bitcoin boomed giving traders the opportunity to make money from the market by utilizing their capitals and trading strategies to calculate how far the price of Bitcoin could go.

Sadly not for him but that may be because he is still new and forex trading is the one that he is playing at. Forex must also have a different market, so Bitcoin boom doesn't make them boom too. 2025 must be a different year. It was the final year according to the 4-year cycle, therefore, the following 4 years can also be different from it.

For traders, even if they are doing spot trading, it's important for them that the market dips every now and then, so that they can buy coins lower that then they can sell higher. Someone who buys at the bottom and keeps holding until they make a profit on it are called investors and not traders.

Same thing I was about to say that it was the investors are the ones that make money the most when the market booms. Traders on the other hand, can make something out of the volatility. They don't really hold and wait for the bull to arrive and I think they can even make money on a dumping market using other variations of trading.

Regardless of the silly mistakes I made due to greed, trading was fun for me last year 2025. I made some money even though it is not that much because of fear and my risk management. I am the type of person that can’t accept huge loss on time, that’s why I do trade with the little amount of money I can afford to lose or overlook so that when my trade gets liquidated, I will man up and keep on hustling for more money to trade again; that was why my profit wasn’t big enough for me, but I learn a lot and trading can be relied on if you have proper strategy and proper risk management.

That's much better because compared to trading with large capital, the chance of loss is also much greater. Trading is not about getting rich quick, but about being able to survive in this industry even with small profits. Most people think that trading can make them rich quickly, but in the end they actually lose more money. Risk management, strategies and other needs can be improved because the more experienced are, the better trading will be. Furthermore, as we gain more experience, it will be much easier to manage emotions, discipline and risk management.

I get the same achievement last year trading in cryptocurrency one side earn much profit but has another side can't avoid from losses after fatal mistake buying bad altcoin and aware to cut loss before price drastically crashing. For last year trading actually still balance yet between loss and profit beside I made fatal mistake and become good experience start trading as well as for this years, should be brave for stop loss feature trading get avoid fewest percent loss than huge loss amount.

Firstly the beginning this year I got recovery back from my altcoin holding drop last month, now I focus how to get right moment entry and won't be greedy or hurry up for entering in the market. Keep patience looking for the support price of bitcoin and altcoin to buy if won't make the same mistake last year trading.

Well, 2025 was generally good in terms of trading, I didn't trade much though, I was more focused on investing, but the little I traded, I made profit but nothing significant since I didn't not invest much or devote a good time to the exercise.

Investing on the other hand was good as well, I made some good money from buying and holding some crypto assets including bitcoin, the only time I lost money was when I dived into degen memecoin, like the pump.fun type of memecoin on both ton, solana Bsc, base and so on, I lost significant amount of money trading newly created memecoins and this is why this year, I won't venture into this type of trading anymore.

Trading isn't a haven for profits. More losses are approaching usually to the traders and that's why if there are newbies thinking that all traders are losing. That's a myth. 2025 was good for me as well but it doesn't came out too easy, I've made losses as well that I have regret because it's one of the biggest years so far in my life that I've made significant amount of money for my entire trading career. I know that there's more to come and bigger ones that haven't yet to come. But, 2025 is a good crazy and blissful year for me.

If you are not making much profit, it may be because you are too busy to trade as much as you used to. That is perfectly normal. It is better not to force yourself to enter the market and trade if you still have a lot of activities that can drain your mental and emotional energy. It's better to only enter the market when you're truly not busy anymore. Personally, I sometimes have so much on my plate that I rarely check the market. However, since I do swing trading and have already set my take profit and stop loss levels, I can feel more comfortable with my trading positions. Swing trading is more suitable for those of us who don't have much time to monitor the market over the long term.

Well, last year was kinda of good and bad at the same time but it’s good for some people to learn and have more experience about crypto, because there are some people that only thought of crypto in a particular way, without also considering to see or get to know the other part, which last year has thought some of them lesson in which they will not forget in a hurry but learn and understand more better through it.
That is why it’s essential for people to always go by the principles of crypto, in order for them to be at the safer side.

I was never into much trading last year because I'm still more focused on buying and HODLing and some other personal things, so I never experienced profits nor losses as well.

However, this year, I have my goal to get back in trading and start to unlock again my skills and strategies if they are still working, or probably there is a need of more working then so I can avoid inevitable losses that will only distract from my focus in trading. We'll see then if this year will be profitable or not once I stepped back into trading.
