Hello, bitcoiners! It's 2026, and we almost welcomed it in a better way. The year 2025 was so good for Bitcoin, giving an ATH of $126k. And guess what? People still think Bitcoin is worthless, as if they are in such a deep sleep that they can't see how institutions, big companies, and states are pouring billions into Bitcoin. Do you guys have any stories about friends, relatives, or family members who did not believe in Bitcoin in 2011 or afterward, claiming it was a scam, and now regret their decision not to buy it at that time? The meme is for the non believer. If they have any Bitcoin and think it's useless, then let me bring it to your attention that I have a wallet too. 😂😂 https://www.talkimg.com/images/2026/01/01/UzvON3.jpeg

Between 2011 and 2015, there was no infrastructure for cryptocurrencies. There were a few large exchanges and many smaller ones. I learned about Bitcoin early on, but I bought it for $300-400 and sold it for a bit more. Back then, no one believed this coin could rise significantly in price. Now, things are different.

Each of us may have a story about a friend or acquaintance who initially thought bitcoin was a scam but later realized that it was a golden opportunity that they had foolishly ignored.
I have an acquaintance who learned about bitcoin from a friend in 2015. At that time, the price of bitcoin was still quite cheap, and he could have bought some because he had a salary and was not in financial difficulty. But at that time, he didn't believe that Bitcoin could be as valuable as it is today. At that time, he thought Bitcoin was a Ponzi scheme and not worth his time. As time went on, he began to realize that Bitcoin was steadily rising in value, but he remained hesitant to buy- and to this day, he’s just a spectator even though he’s known about Bitcoin for over a decade. He says he regrets not investing from the start, and now he’s hesitant to buy knowing the price is already so high.
That is one of many stories about how someone ultimately regretted thinking that bitcoin was a scam and not investing in bitcoin from the start.

I am so sure that each of us have that story that no one has ever believed us when we've told them to invest in Bitcoin. They have never learned what we've told them when it's very cheap until they see it grown that much. But even today, they won't consider buying it for how expensive it is right now. What we want to tell them is that they should DYOR and we're already out of that explanation, it's for them to learn it by themselves. That is why I have no encouragement anymore to anybody if they start asking me how to invest or if it's the right time to buy.

I remember my boss before, the owner of the company where I went to an internship, he did not believing to Bitcoin way back around 2018. Although he is also into finance, but tradional, he is an accountant. Maybe I think he really doesn't believe in Bitcoin, like he also mentioned, Bitcoin is a bubble. Well, I respect his decision. There are also a lot of big personalities or known personalities that don't believe in Bitcoin, but some of them later on changed their minds or opinion. I'm curious if he already changed his mind.

I was ones a non believer of bitcoin( digital money sounded impossible to me then). But I guess people change. It took me a while to understand the purpose of bitcoin it self. Situations came where bitcoin was the best solution. It's been a long time coming.. As for those still doubting, I guess you are enjoying the way government controls your funds for you.. something huge is going to happen this year in my country( government forcing tax on everyone as long as you own a bank account). We are still waiting for their final say but we all know how it will end.

Hello, bitcoiners! It's 2026, and we almost welcomed it in a better way.
Nah, $87,000 is an unbelievable price to close out 2025 and welcome 2026! Imagine anytime prior to 2025 that I told you the market would be over $80,000 around now, you would welcome it. The further you go back the more unbelievable it would seem. Its about optics! if we didn't have an ATH of $126,000 the current market price would be absolutely fantastic. I dont have any insights from friends about Bitcoins rise because I dont talk about it with them anymore. I figure that Bitcoin information is widely accessible now that they can find any information they like and if they ask me directly I will have a conversation with them. I am always of the "glass half full" outlook rather than "glass half empty"

Good story for 2026 because bitcoin hit new ATH $126k but sadly for me my altcoin holding still can't break yet to the higher price, wish the new years and the beginning of 2026 start well, smooth and most friendly for the altcoin holder to see altcoin season both bitcoin can break out to new ATH price. We have almost 15 hours based on my country time zone looks bitcoin and altcoin still stable can't predicting yet the first day of new year 2026 will bitcoin and altcoin hit higher or get lower price? only one my expected seeing back bitcoin break above $100k and its great chance for me as altcoin holder to cut loss and get few percent loss only than holding for long term without get possibility price return back to the higher.

People deal with Bitcoin's uncertainty before because as what you have said, Bitcoin way back then have solid infrastructure and only few exchange supports it. Also lots of people does not believe that Bitcoin will succeed and hit certain big prices the same as what we are seeing nowadays. Selling at early situations are reasonable and can't blame people to do that because Bitcoin future is unknown before. These days change is truly remarkable because we have seen massive adoption from big institutions and many countries tries to experiment to create their Bitcoin reserves which make Bitcoin became more stronger or valuable asset. The situation happen on Bitcoin is great since we have seen it really evolve from doubts also uncertain matters to gaining an impressive mainstream adoption.

There's probably only a few here left who can share an experience with Bitcoin in 2011. I'm sure most of us here have only heard of Bitcoin past 2011.
When I first heard of Bitcoin in 2015 or 2016, I thought it was a dirty investment scheme. It was first introduced to me as a way to make money, not as a revolutionary technology that frees us from financial powers. I fell victim to a Bitcoin scam.
I was eventually awed by the vision behind it but not without reservations. I didn't risk a considerable slice of my savings over something I doubted. Although I'm not really regretting that I didn't buy as much as I could, I admit I missed a huge opportunity. It was just a few hundreds per coin back then.

people like that must exist in this world, not everyone will believe in bitcoin, it's very natural, many of them need to feel regret first before entering bitcoin and yes most of those entering today are people who have regretted not buying bitcoin earlier, the mechanism is like that maybe, I also don't believe why many people have to regret it first then they mask at a higher price.
I was also like that, didn't buy much when the price was still low and didn't hold the bitcoin I had gotten for the long term, that regret is always there to this day.

I also know several people who laughed or warned that it was crazy at the time. Today, they don't express their opinions as much, but curiously, they know the exact price when it goes up. I remember that the typical comments were that Bitcoin is useless, it's a scam, or it's going to die. I even know someone very close to me who still has doubts. Anyway, there will always be wallets available for when they stop doubting.

Hello, bitcoiners! It's 2026,
We have seen Bitcoin occupy a position of $126k, in 2026 the price of Bitcoin will still be at the level of $87k, meaning $39k is gone/down, yes we know that once the halving occurs the price of Bitcoin increases, we understand that situation. Well, for 2026 I am optimistic that the price of Bitcoin will be at its lowest level, I can imagine that, maybe we failed in 2011, maybe not this time, that's my story for 2026. Talking about friends, maybe at this moment I haven't heard from them Bitcoin scammers, it's just that they weren't sure about buying it at that time, of course they have their own reasons why they don't want to do it, the 2011 story is over, we are now thinking about the next halving, whowho wins us or Bitcoin.

People think Bitcoin is worth nothing because they do not even know what Bitcoin is other than 'virtual'. You have to actually be interested in the subject if you want to know about it and this is why in my opinion, their disbelief does not matter.
I like when people dislike Bitcoin with actual arguments. Not out dated 'Bitcoin is a Ponzi' thrown as an argument in 2026.

The year 2025 was so good for Bitcoin, giving an ATH of $126k.
2025 was mostly a disappointing year if you ask me because if we omit the ATH, on January 1, 2025 price was a little higher than $90k and on January 1, 2026 price is a little lower than $90k so we can say 2025 was the year of ups and downs without a major rally. I believe 2026 will be the same since the global economic hardship has not changed and it is getting worse so the sell pressure will remain while bitcoin is seen more as a safe haven. So we can expect a new ATH but I don't think we can see any major rally... just like last year. Do you guys have any stories about friends, relatives, or family members who did not believe in Bitcoin in 2011 or afterward, claiming it was a scam, and now regret their decision not to buy it at that time?
Not that many anymore think this way. Specially since here the dumbasses in our central bank keep printing fiat and consequently tanking our national currency so bitcoin keeps going up even if it is not exactly rallying! That has turned into an interesting investment here.

Hello, bitcoiners! It's 2026, and we almost welcomed it in a better way. The year 2025 was so good for Bitcoin, giving an ATH of $126k.
You and I must be in different worlds. $126K ATH is a garbage year compared to previous performance, so much that we can no longer conceive the cycles as we thought of them up to this point. It's not even a 2X return from the previous cycle ATH. In addition, it was the first post-halving year that Bitcoin ended with a negative return. This shows that things have really changed for bitcoin. While bitcoin used to give terrific returns in every bull cycle, it's not happening the same this time. The same is happening with the downward trend though. Earlier it used to fall by 70% while dumping and now it has only fallen 30% downwards. Although we can go further low but may be people will keep holding. As the price keeps pumping at these levels, more amount of money would be required just to see a short spike in bitcoin price. So its kinda obvious that we might not see those big gains as we saw back then.

Anyone who still thinks bitcoin is still worthless should be living in 2009, because many are already considering it to be very expensive instead of calling it worthless. Do you guys have any stories about friends, relatives, or family members who did not believe in Bitcoin in 2011 or afterward, claiming it was a scam, and now regret their decision not to buy it at that time?
I did not know bitcoin as of 2011 but as to when I came across it back in 2018 or 2019 was when a Ponzi scheme which just crashed in my country a very popular one was using it as part of payment method which spread the wrong impression to some that bitcoin itself is Ponzi and some are still living by that assumption till date only few of them have been able to use research and outgrown that mentality and are already regretting why they did not buy when it was still cheap.
2X from previous year all time high was what people where really expecting that made some good prediction centered on $150k for last year which never happened, if we are to use March 2024 all time high which was $73,000 bitcoin only did about 71% plus on its previous all time high of 2025 which is indeed less than how Bitcoin perform on each circle.

The people I know who think BTC is a scam are still of that opinion. They haven't changed their views, and I don't think they ever will. I tried to talk to them about it, but it just doesn't seem to get through. It might be me, or they are just not interested in it. They shouldn't say it's worthless, though. They need to see why it has, but sometimes it's just hard for them to absorb, even when you explain the technological approach.

Hello, bitcoiners! It's 2026, and we almost welcomed it in a better way. The year 2025 was so good for Bitcoin, giving an ATH of $126k.
$126k is the formal ATH, since in fact, due to inflation, the value of bitcoin didn't exceed the ATH for the previous peak. Bitcoin ‘never crossed’ $100K if adjusted for inflation, says Alex ThornBut despite this, in my opinion, bitcoin is still gaining ground in the financial market year after year: more and more companies and countries are accumulating BTC-reserves, more and more service and product providers are accepting bitcoin as payment (some even pay salaries in btc), and more and more laws are regulating bitcoin. In short, BTC's expansion around the world continues unabated. And guess what? People still think Bitcoin is worthless, as if they are in such a deep sleep that they can't see how institutions, big companies, and states are pouring billions into Bitcoin.
They're simply blind. This also surprises me. Either they "don't see" the positive news and changes, or they're in some kind of "hibernation" that will end with the start of the new bull run (at such moments, for some reason, everyone suddenly remembers about bitcoin). ). Do you guys have any stories about friends, relatives, or family members who did not believe in Bitcoin in 2011 or afterward, claiming it was a scam, and now regret their decision not to buy it at that time?
I think most of us were like that – we didn't believe in the future of bitcoin. Before I became fascinated with btc, I'd heard about this crypto currency for a long time, thought about buying it, but always put it off. Why? Because I didn't understand the essence of this asset, its significance, or how it could benefit me. Accordingly, I didn't buy it, even though the price was low back then. As soon as I saw the future prospects, everything changed. And then I "saw" my 1st bullrun, my 1st market crash - this is invaluable experience, which now allows me to react calmly to cryptomarket events. All these ups and downs are temporary and insignificant. Only the future matters. Now my faith in bitcoin is unshakable. And has been for a long time.
