I believe this is the question in the minds of many Nigerians. In the beginning, most people arrived at Bitcoin with the hopes of making a quick buck. Some benefited from the bull market and many were disappointed with the sudden change in price. With these experiences, people have slowly become realistic.

Due to inflation in Nigeria, the devaluation of the naira and banking restrictions, people are now beginning to view not only Bitcoin as a profit, but also as a security. When the value of your money is decreasing every day, it becomes more important that you hold on to something for the future rather than get rich quick. Yet the truth is that the get rich quick mentality is still out there. Especially among the young, there is more pressure, less jobs, more responsibilities. So they look for shortcuts. But Bitcoin doesn't like shortcuts. It is patience, consistency and a learning mindset that is real here.

The way Bitcoin price has been moving around $80k to $90k for this past few months, it’s a good sign for people to understand that it’s not a way to get rich quickly, there are many things to be sacrificed in order to be successful in Bitcoin investment. We need to sacrifice our time to learn how Bitcoin works, and the patient to hold for a long time. Bitcoin is not the kind of investment for one to just get rich over a night, there is not shortcuts to success.

Fast money through trading? I don't think so; no true money making process is completely easy. Just like the regular bitcoin investment trading too requires patience, long term consistency and dedication. Just because someone claim to caught a fast move does not mean the next person will, and most of the time it does not even end well trying to chase that kind of luck.

We are in 2026, I believe people should have outgrown such thoughts by now that they can just sleep as poor people and wake up billionaire over the night because they entered into a trade or an investment in bitcoin. I think the noise came from the early days of promo, trying to get people interested in the concept you know, especially when you tell people something is very easy you even go ask far as doing one or two demonstration of course the masses will rush in with the mindset of this thing is very easy and I just need to lock in, lol.

But for real though, crypto in general needs serious conviction....it is not something you do because you saw someone doing it or because that is what is trending or something, like you will learn otherwise o but it will be a painful lesson

Na those few success stories people dey see online dey always blind many people. Dem go hear say one guy catch one sharp move, double him money overnight, next thing everybody wan do am. But dem no dey show the plenty wey try am and lose heavy.
