I agree with you completely OP on your assumptions because of one thing with humans especially Nigeria were people find it difficult to believe what people say, due to lack of confidence that exists in the Nigerian society due to the way scams and fraudstars which exists. We should not force people against their will the best we should do is to make people come to the realization of what is uptanable if they can adopt Bitcoin as an asset.One thing that, I have come to realize is that not everyone can do Bitcoin no matter how good it's this is life for you so we should not force people to believe what they are not prepared for because such people always end up Calling Bitcoin a scam.

About spreading the good news of Bitcoin, it is one thing that everyone who has a vision of the world being a better place should do. Because over the little time which Bitcoin has been in circulation, the world has improved massively. However, it is relevant to note that it isn't everyone that has an interest in or with everything that has to do with the digital world or space. Some people totally assume that everything that is in the internet is a scam not just because of what they have experienced but because of what they have heard most especially. This act alone is the major barrier that has been between many people and the global positive changes the world has been experiencing.

If only they were ready to learn, know and transform themselves, it will be even more motivating to do so.
Personally as a part of this forum, it originally is a duty to speak forth about Bitcoin to as many people as I can tell and things like that is something we do with outmost gladness in heart. Even if we are to talk about the time or period people get to find out about Bitcoin, I can say a lot of people got to know about the digital currency quite not long ago but yet they have maximized the chance and even made a lot from it. First of all, e no really dey bad to teach person about crypto currency (Bitcoin) but me and you know how this our country take dey very funny, you fit get good mind fir person make them same person dey plan you. Some persons who aren't investing in bitcoin right now is because they think they are late to bitcoin and the price of bitcoin is too high for them to invest in, and it's possible for them to do so because they know nothing about bitcoin. So I think we should prioritise teaching our loved ones about bitcoin so that they will know that it's not too late to start investing in bitcoin because the price of bitcoin is still very much affordable for the poor to buy bitcoin

I don't usually bother to inform people about bitcoin, not because I don't want progress for bitcoin adoption or something but safety first. One thing you should understand is that bitcoin has gained a lot of awareness that almost everyone knows about it. Even if they don't know how to use it, they must to at least have heard about what it can do. Wuth the current state of insecurity now in the country, I won't want to risk my life trying to preach about cryptocurrency or bitcoin to the public. Not to forget, our security personnel are very much after crypto users as instructed from the government. If it isn't a group of friends I know I don't bother discussing about bitcoin..

Their is no need trying to force anybody into bitcoin investment because action they say speak louder than voice, let your progress do the speaking for you. Of course, it is not right to force someone to invest in Bitcoin, it is your responsibility to make an investor aware of the benefits that an investor can enjoy from Bitcoin by consistently buying Bitcoin and holding it for the long term, nothing more. As a result, if a person is willing to buy Bitcoin, that is good and if he is not willing to buy Bitcoin, it is his own failure and not someone else's. Of course the role of a guide is only to show the right path which means if any member of our local board or anyone in our country wants to know about Bitcoin investment updates then we can only inform them but the main task is for him to complete because he must be interested in investing in BTC or learning about the background of BTC. You have rightly commented that many are not technically skilled but are very interested in learning about Bitcoin who can be easily taught about the investment process of this currency if they are people of this Naija LB board.
