What do you mean no need KYC for basic features?

Those 3 you were mentioning is the most important reason why exchanges exists and those no KYC days are over for less withdrawal limits. Nowadays even you want to withdraw the minimum withdrawal limit there you need to complete your KYC or the feature won't be available. But you can deposit and trade as much as you want but if you can't withdraw them then what is the point?

Some lower tier exchange allow withdrawal with a huge enough amount for non KYC account with the risk of your account getting frozen out of nowhere.

They can be an option but it's like a roulette, you just never know when they will freeze your account and your money is simply gone. I'd definitely avoid.

Exactly, as I mentioned, lower tier exchange like bingx or mexc still allow users to use them without KYC verification. However, that is quite risky, and they would freeze our account at any time if they detect anything suspicious. However, as long as we complete KYC, our account will be able to function normally again.

Therefore, it is true that those with high personal data security needs should not try this method. OP could try DEX or Metamask as I mentioned.

I had my doubts when I read the post that it's disguised as something that is a legitimate question, and then suddenly updating the thread with a random site that nobody suggested.

Based on other posts, actually, he posted a fake one or phishing site.
This one seems to be the original one chainflip.io the one he shared has an extra "s" at the end of "flip." after I spotted it 2 hours ago, he edited the thread and changed it to the original one. I'm sure later he is going to change it back.

That one seems to be the real one compared to the link that OP shared recently. The thread is again edited with the correct one. I hope it's a final link or he is planning to edit it again later and put the phishing link.

1. I may not point you to a specific exchange, but I am going to share with you links to websites that have a list of exchanges that may not need KYC verification at all
2. Not all the exchanges may offer direct BTC to ETH or ETH to BTC conversions
3. Not all exchanges may be decentralized exchanges

These are good suggestions and they are more than enough for the OP to solve his problem because the sites mentioned on bitlist alone are enough to give him the best idea about all the instant exchanges and other services that can help him exchange or swap.

Yes, that's right, some can be centralized and some can be decentralized, but it depends on the OP maybe he doesn't care about the nature in swaps or instant exchanges as he doesn't have to kyc there, still so that maybe his main concern.

Most of the exchanges you shared are not DEX even though they may not need KYC. I think what the OP is looking for is a DEX exchange that can enable trading from ETH to BTC and vice versa. The one I know and have used is ShapeShift DAO. It is pretty cool and easy to use. There are others as well but that is the one I have used before. It will be hard to know which one is the best as I have not used a lot of them to know how great they are in terms of the fees.
