"Naughty"? As in kids committing crimes with crypto online? The odds for this are very slim. But if you mean, making unauthorized purchases (purchases not allowed by their parents), that's another story. With how transparent popular cryptos are (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin), it would be easy enough to track kids' financial activities online. In the case of privacy coins, it's almost impossible to do such a thing.

I seriously doubt a kid is going to know how to use a privacy coin, though. Especially when many privacy coins have a slight learning curve. Monero is hard to understand by those coming from traditional cryptos. Grin is even much harder to learn. Besides, merchant/business adoption for privacy coins is limited. Bitcoin would seem to be a much better option for kids, imo. Adoption is just getting started, anyways. Kids might either use CBDCs or crypto massively in the future. Only time will tell.
If they are committing crime then yeah it would be easy to track and cops will find it, but if we are talking about hiding stuff from their parents? Then privacy doesn't mean anything, you will not know what your child is doing at all.

I know this because I was once a kid with a computer and I can tell you that I have done so much that nobody knew, nothing illegal though, I never did anything illegal, just things that were banned by my parents. A simple like "play games more hours than allowed" is simply known all around the world.
This is still a bit hard, because we are talking about hiding from parents and it is not always that easy. Depends on the parents and their age of course, some parents do not know tech that much and you can hide from them easily which will not be an issue. But some parents are quite smart, and if you are a 15 year old today (since topic says kids) that means your parents could be as young as in their 30's, because if they had you at 25, they are 40, but in most cases they are probably little over 40.

Those people can understand tech very well and research what you are doing with your PC when you are not at home, and they can easily find everything they are looking for. This is why, as long as it's legal, I think it shouldn't be a problem.

This may sound like a stupid question, but is it possible children will buy stuff using crypto in the future? I mean, today's generation is "digitally-native". Long gone are the days where kids used to pay for stuff with cash. In this era, digital payments are the norm. Since non-custodial crypto doesn't require KYC checks of any kind, any kid can set up a wallet, receive crypto, and start spending wherever it's accepted physically or online.

Do you think kids will find crypto appealing? If not, why? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. 🙂

It gets a little complicated when you mention it as kids. If you were talking about people in the future the answer would obviously be yes.
But since you are specifically mentioning about kids in the future I think the possibilities are there that kids will use crypto transactions in the future.
But then again, it also depends on the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies as a payment method all over the globe.
Once that happens, according to me most of the people in future including kids and adults will start using crypto for payments due to the ease of convenience.

i get where your coming from we live in a time now where kids grow along with technology and with technology developing in the way it has im sure its not going anywhere. cash is hardly seen now a days it all cards or mobile we use to pay with. so i think yeah a time will come where kids will grow interest in the crypto market and will find themselves using it as a way to deal with money. as long as they have some one there who knows what there doing to teach them the right ways of using it and how to stay safe while using it i think it would be appealing

yeah, fresh blood will come by thousands, if not more, into the space, if it's regulated / adopted properly.. people should understand why it's good for them to be in charge and what it can bring them - security, reliable methods for them to interact with services, and their own custody.. while also going out of scrutiny over international transactions.. but for little fellas, i do think they would use it first and foremost for some projects that would be giving them something by drop mechanics / something like that.. because clearly, kids won't look at the crypto just for security and things that are important for older generations.

Well, kids these days are smart. They have their tricks up their sleeves. Trust me, I know. Some teenage cousins of mine already know how to use a phone and laptop inside and out. They know how to properly hide stuff from their parents. I haven't asked them about crypto, but I'm sure they already know about it. Especially with crypto all over mainstream media. It's simply too hard to ignore.

Since most children are below 18, the only way they can buy/sell crypto is through a non-KYC exchange or P2P trading platform. They will get lesser liquidity as a result, but better something than nothing. I'm confident kids will drive mainstream adoption for crypto all the way to the moon. It should only be a matter of time before this happens. Just you wait and see.

It should not be allowed. It can result in loss of big funds.
