I am using Cointelegraph, Coindesk, news on exchanges, some wallets, Coinmarketcap. I also make use of Decrypt.

Because if that, there are time that I can see Google related news and some can be quite interesting.

Following some crypto people on X can be very helpful.

Probably not the best place for this. Coins and ICOs used to launch here in the past, but these days are long gone.  It's probably better to keep an eye on CT (crypto twitter), influencers, traders, etc. and then do your research.

For discussing any type of crypto news (coins, a service/exchange, political announcements, anything really) the forum is great but if you want to be one of the early adopters of a project, it's probably best to keep an eye on Crypto twitter, join discord communities, ask other user about other potentially good projects, join those too and so on.

I've been reading the forum for a long time, but I've never come across any information about the future. Is that even possible? There are a large number of cryptocurrencies, but there are no clear predictions about their future existence. The only prediction that might be true is that most of these coins will die out before they gain widespread acceptance.

Probably not the best place for this. Coins and ICOs used to launch here in the past, but these days are long gone.  It's probably better to keep an eye on CT (crypto twitter), influencers, traders, etc. and then do your research.

I have followed some influencers in the past but I regretted it. I lost at least $500 to two projects, so I stopped investing on new projects. Also there was one called Digitoad that I saw on the news like Cointelegraph and local news in my country, the coin failed immediately it was launched, not listed on major exchanges and later it got delisted in just one exchange it was listed. There was one called yPredict that I saw online which its developers were scanners. Only 50%, 25%, 12.5% of the coins was distributed after months each which the developers used to scammed us.

So it would be good for OP to be very careful of what he is venturing into. It can look good but when losses begin would be when he will realized how these news projects are risky.

CoinMarketCap and CoinDesk are the best places to read it; subscribe via browser or email notifications, and you're good to go. Another one is Twitter: if you are active on Twitter and part of your algorithm is focused on cryptocurrency, the latest news will pop up.
Some members here on Bitcointalk create topics about the latest news and include a link, so if you are active here, you'll get fresher news and can share your opinion.

In the early days of crypto, all new cryptocurrencies had ANN thread here where they shared the lastest news and development, but over the the years, they moved on to other means of communication (mostly Twitter) and basically left bitcointalk.

The answer is no, if you want to read Crypto news you can search for major media in google searches, some of which has already been mentioned by Oshosondy.
Because even if there is crypto news written by someone, it still adds a link to the news source, it could not be UpToDate.

If you want to know the coin that will be launched, you can see it here cryptorank.io, there is complete, starting from the beginning of the development of the project to the tokens or coins that will be discarded there. However, you need to do some research because not all of the coins or tokens from there are good.

You will probably have to look for them in decentralized exchanges way before they get listed on centralized exchanges, but it's a big gamble as most of them die or rug pull. But if you got lucky, then the ride all the way up is usually very sweet.

You can try websites like coindar.org though most of them lost it after the collapse of ICOs

Such news won't be shared here unless someone deems it worthy of discussion. I subscribe to the @c4dotggg TG channel for daily source of news on crypto and upcoming projects. It's not as up-to-date as one might think, as it's all published collectively daily, but it's still worthwhile.

This specific board? No. Perhaps you'll likely find it in the "Alternate cryptocurrencies" section on the forum. You might read about upcoming projects and coins in the Altcoin Discussion and Announcements (Altcoins) boards in that section. Regarding speculations on their prices, you'll find it in Speculation (Altcoins) board.

However, gone are the days when this forum was the primary destination for new projects to make early announcements and promotions. These days, you might want to scout them in various social media groups and channels.

By the way, please take note that you're navigating treacherous waters. Extreme vigilance is a must.

OP wants a source of information when a coin will be launched so he can invest on time and take some profit from it. I guess that has always been the biggest mystery, and I believe that everyone would like to have information when a coin is at a low price. The truth is that there is no such source and what the OP wants requires research and recognition of several different pieces of information from different sources.

Yeah, that's a hard source to find, but how about the last link I provided with the ICO and IDO for ongoing and upcoming presales?
At least you could still buy them at early stages before they were going to be listed on big exchanges? Presales should start with a low price.

I am of the opinion that ICOs and similar things have been dead for a long time. Ok, maybe some project can happen that makes something more than zero, but those are all miserable percentages.
It is probably easier to go back a little and check how some of the ICOs that were announced on those portals are doing today.

btw. cryptopanic.com is an excellent service. I use it most often to stay informed about current events.

These services copy and paste from other services without verifying the sources. A rumor can easily spread in these services, and most of them come from Coindesk/Decrypt/Cointelegraph.

Isn't it better to get notifications on Telegram? Because I have been using the Cointelegraph Telegram channel for crypto news, and also I have been using some other free channels to get news and market updates. To be honest, most of the news websites just copy and paste from major crypto news websites. CoinmarketCap is a monitor site, which means the news they publish is copied from other sources.

@OP, I don't think you will get all the updates from this forum. Best practice would be to follow the Telegram channels if available from the biggest crypto news sites like Cointelegraph. As I said, I have been using Cointelegraph for myself and some other channels that are free. There are a few solid Telegram signal groups; usually they analyse the market and share important news updates there. This would be another source of news you may need.
