I'm not saying education isn't important, but the role of parents in teaching children how to make money is crucial so they can adapt as adults.

Conversely when we receive our first paycheck and try to buy something we want, I think that's perfectly natural. Buying something we need with our own money is much more enjoyable, and the effort is truly palpable. After that, we make strategic decisions, whether we'll save our next paycheck first and then use it for investments or building a business, as this may require careful planning and coordination.

I was expecting you’d say invest too. Saving is good but investing as you spend sounds better. There’s nothing wrong with spending on expensive things as long as you can afford it and as long as it’s not irrelevant, and as long as you’re equally investing to secure your future. Some people spend on irrelevances, simply because they see people around them spending on things and just because they want to fit in and not left behind, this is totally wrong, just because you can afford something doesn’t mean you should spend on them, there should always be discipline and moderation in everything you do.

There are truths in what you posted but it should not be about kids but it should be about everybody regardless of age, although young people under 30 years of age can have the mind of spending money unnecessarily, but that does not mean older people do not have such mind also.

I don't think he actually mean underage kids but those new born babies haha who has just started making money, he was talking about the young earners or people new to making money. Obviously we all know kids can't make money haha unless they are on YT, or tiktok something but they can't do all that by themselves.

Actually with age I think most of us come to realize what they has done and the amount they recieved so far and wasted on useless things is no good to us so most of us probably learn with time but this post must be specifically for new earners, like my little brother just started to earn money and I do my best to guide him, and that he should not spend money on useless things and should focus more on self control, self growth and how to keep things in place like not spending too much and not too less even.

Social media is a good example, many kids all over the world are receiving regular payments and the countries where kids are not strongly monitored contribute to this. Not to mention coding, app building, creative writing, designing, cryptocurrency, tech generally and many more. Some of these kids are mature enough to handle their finances or have careless parents that cannot control them to put them right.

An example is Peller, a  Nigerian socia media personality and an influencer doing all sorts of nonsense online. He started the social media career with Tiktok in 2021 at age 16. Everybody knows his lavish lifestyle. There are many examples of under 18 earning money and living flashy lifestyle and wasting money. These ones cannot regret it when the money keeps coming, but when it stops flowing, the regret starts.

I have  a friend who hired a nanny of 12years but pays her salary to the girls parents this means that the girl in questions doesn't have anything to do with money while my friend provide the necessary requirements for her,when you talk about 12years these children are still under the nurture of his/her guardians

If your kids work to make their own money aside what you give to them tell me how you will succeed in stopping them from spending money and doing certain things on social media if you do not stay with them ? You can succeed in making them to invest their money if you have a strong hand over them and you trained them to respect and value every word spoken out of your mouth but if you are a father that enjoys flexing while your kids were glowing up you will not succeed in stopping them to flex and spend on their live style.

Well my dad never did that, he was never a guy who invested and because of that it took me long time to understand the concept of investment and the value of it. You should not own more things than your dad, and yet I do, while I am sure my father must be super happy about it, it's clear that we are not going to see that change all that much. Eating once in a fancy restaurant every month is a good reward to yourself. Even making it two is just totally okay but doing it more often and making yourself broke is no longer ideal about it. And doing this often can be something rewarding for themselves that it should be part of their monthly budget. I agree that friends can be a double-edged sword for many people because they often bring their influence into our lives. I’ve seen cases where a young person didn’t have much money, but because they were friends with someone wealthy, they felt pressured to spend more. Social media isn’t always the only reason people engage in excessive spending, but it plays a major role. If it didn’t, companies wouldn’t invest so heavily in advertising on social platforms or hire influencers to promote their brands.

IMO, I don't mind if my kids use their first paycheck to buy what they want. They deserve it. Does that mean I am a bad parent? I don't think so. They worked hard for it, so they are free to do what they want with it. But their next salaries, that's when I will probably come in and give them advice on what they should do about it. I won't cross the line, but I will suggest a few options for them to think about. Young people can easily absorb teachings from their parents, and if they do respect them, they will probably follow our advice.

Many parents have these kind of childs who want to spend their money on food because they have friends and they want to enjoy their life with friends on parties. They have their time to learn things so they are wasting their time and they are not saving their money and they don't know the leakage of the money which could be lethel for them because money is important for everyone and if he will save and invest it in the good investment then they will be at good place in the future and if they will waste they money for many years then they will not be able to survive in the next time. If someone has money then he should not spend all money on parties because no friend will stand with you in bad days if you have no money and if you have money then all people will stand with you .
