People often say new year new life. Looking at the phrase it portrays a deeper transformation in renewing of hope, it highlights a positive shift in our thinking(mind) and not the negative. Some folks don't really believe in the psychological impacts of this phrase. To them, new year does not affects their hope, drives, growth and agenda, but rather it just a thing of sleeping and waking to see a new day like every other day.

How does this phrase affects you yearly?

I don't understand the phrase new year new life, maybe new year new beginnings is more appropriate and if something like that works for you then go for it, most times we need motivations to encourage ourselves. For people like me who don't make a special resolution for the new year we don't have any special psychological upliftment for the new year, we live it like every other day. I can build my morale to make it anyday in any months not necessarily on a new year. You can build yourself up psychologically when you feel that fire of positive energy in any month but if the end of year is when you like to start a new beginning I don't have anything against it.

I treat the phrase as a practical tool rather than magic.

Every new year, I pick one micro-habit to improve, something I can track weekly.

It’s small, measurable, and builds momentum for bigger goals.

Yes, it definitely affects me psychologically. I'm now one year older but still not wealthy. That gap between time passing and my financial goals not being met creates a real psychological pressure. The phrase 'new year new life' reminds me of my age increasing without proportional success, which is demotivating.
