Are you like me? I have not made use of any prediction market before but I have an account there. I do not know if I should give it a try or not. I want to know the experience of people that have tried both the gambling sites and prediction market before. I can see sports like English Premier League and others on both. Which one is better when you are betting? Gambling sites or prediction market?

I am just like you or maybe a bit worse since I only have visited a prediction market but didn't bother registering an account there, I don't know but I honestly haven't had any issues using normal casinos for my sports betting activities, I don't see any reason yet to want to try or even move over to doing my sports betting on prediction market.

Maybe I am also simply going to watch this thread to read from those who have tried both platforms to see which is better, but to be honest with you, I might still prefer casinos if considering the several bonuses and cashback they offer to their users, though not all casinos do this but most do, and I've not seen prediction market offer such, so maybe this is a thing to consider as well.. 🤔

Give it a try and get back to us, what you should take note of while trying the predictions site compared to sport bookies are:

1: odds allocations to various teams/clubs playing

2: how effective the cashout and it availability is on both sites

3: how often one can make use of various features on both side, e.g multiple games selections, handicap and the rest of the sport betting features that increases the chances of the bettors.

Not used to betting on prediction markets, Duelbits now provides this maybe you can try as a new experience... for me still like betting on casino sportsbooks because it is easier and has been understood for a long time in contrast to prediction markets.

I only see in X... often there is someone changing from small money to large amounts because of winning in the prediction market, such as recently Maduro was arrested before January 31 and the person who bet managed to reap huge profits... the problem is that until now I still haven't tried it.

I used both. Basically, i see nothing difference overall, but the mechanism in betting is the only different. When you bet on prediction market is the same like you're buying the shares if the club you bet to win. When your team is coring and lead the game, your shares price can be pumped, and you can leave and take the profit even before the game is ended.

However, the game availability is still quite limied compared to the gambling site. The liquidity is also totally depending on the marketmaker.

To me i prefer gambling sites, because most of the predictions market doesn't work well for me. There was a time i used predictions sites the out come was so bad and i knew how much i lost then not once. I've came across so many predictions market their outcomes is so bad secondly they will even collect registrations feel from you yet nothing come out.

I have tried placing bets on a prediction site. The beauty about it is that it is easy to place bets, and you don't need to do much analysis. It is highly dependent on luck. Sports betting remains my best form of gambling. The process of analyzing, predicting, and following up on games is unparalleled. As a fan of some clubs, you cannot compare the fun you derive from betting on your club with just predicting a political event.

Actually I’m in the same boat dude, I have registered an account but haven’t used it, and while prediction markets may seem fairer and more analytical than gambling sites, they still carry risks and complexity, so if you’re already fine not using them, there’s no real reason to force yourself to try. By the way got an account on limitless and Polymarket.

Either a gambling site or a sportbook site but I have not tried prediction market but I think the odds are not  are not too different and there's nothing too special from the explanation of what others have experienced so far. Being already satisfied with how I'm betting on my favourite clubs on the bookies I use and getting satisfied results is just enough for me not to give attention to prediction market unless I will just give it a try too.

Personally, I like prediction markets just because it's easy to place bets and make deposits. The variety of bets is vast, and it could be informative to people, like betting on the government or something. It's nice to see that there is a way to spread information to gamblers—something like that. The early cash-out is something good as well. It's a nice addition.

Mainstream sport - gambling site.
Random Sport/Event - prediction site.

Tried both but gambling site offer a much easier interface and at the same time offer more games compared to prediction market that limited on betting category.

There’s a con and pros for each venue but I preferred casino since I’m already familiar on it while I’m not that hardcore sports bettor.

Prediction market is perfect if you are good on spotting a market that have a good odds value based on its winning probability since many dumb bettors just following the heard.

Gambling site... because I bet only on sports, and I like to play slots & in-house games as well. It's something like a perfect combination in my case. But if anyone likes different markets, I guess they need to try Polymarket... that is a great place for people who like to bet on things other than sports.

I'm like you, I have not bet on a prediction market too but I think there was a situation that lead me to having an account on the prediction site but since then I have not used it, the possibility of using many gambling site with prediction market included is if gambling is your hobby and you enjoy the activity more by exploring every platform that conducts gambling and betting games, but if you are just an individual that doesn't like gambling as much as other do, you won't even explore other platform.

This depends on what our goals are and we just take into account their differences and what their both have to offer and which set of customers their cover, but as a regular gambler looking for wider options and coverage with high liqudities then the known casinos are best for such bets, polymarket is more central in stock like liqudities which lower and limit them in terms of market traffics.

Oh that's the difference between prediction market betting and betting in casinos, because I myself have never bet on prediction markets like we should try betting there because after all the prediction market will be much more enthusiastic even though there will be no decrease from betting in casinos.
Now I understand a little bit about what you explained, because liquidity is not determined by the bookie but by the market maker.

For predicting future occurrence then it's better you use predictions market, but for sport betting then it would be that good to use gambling site. Although I haven't make used of the predictions market but to me I feels and noticed that gambling site (casino) could be that nice when gambling and could give you a better user experience.

I think the prediction market is more better but if only they are free, some prediction markets are free but they still have some channels for their VIP members. However, I don't know if it's just me but I think the gambling site will not want you to win, so am beginning to think that why would they give you a prediction that will make your bet successful? So because of such mentality that's why I prefer the prediction market than the ones on the gambling site. Actually, as a gambler no matter where you get the predictions from you still need to be lucky before you can successfully win a bet.

I also have an account on prediction market (poly market) but I have never used it before, I would have used it if not for the fact that I saw that they made it possible for people to bet on things affecting people’s lives like say, war and flood or the number of people that died from a natural disaster that occurred at a certain location. That was what made me not look at it again.

I can’t give you anything from experience since I haven’t tried it before but if you really want to know what it feels like then you’d have to try it out yourself. Only you can tell if you like it or not, remember one man’s meat is another’s poison.

Right now, I'm only using gambling sites, but I plan to try prediction markets. I've heard the spreads can be more favorable there on the most popular events, plus no one cares whether you hedge your bets. I'm actually happy with the bookmakers I use when it comes to sports, but I'm now interested in other markets like politics and world events in general. They might be even more interesting than sports. I don't even have an account on Polymarket yet, but I plan to create one in the near future.

When it comes to which is better, a gambling site or a prediction market, it's probably a relative matter. However, I personally find gambling sites more suitable for betting because they offer a wider range of teams, the system is more familiar to me, and most importantly, when my chosen team wins, the winnings are immediately credited to my account.
As for predictions, I'm still not as familiar with them, and I'm only interested in betting on sports, especially since the platform I use is more convenient and offers various promotions. So, there's no reason for me to switch to a prediction market.
