No, I did not. Seems like my laptop was compromised and when try to access my BTT account from my PC, I was not able to.

There is no record of password reset via secret question for M47AK16 on security log. If someone reset the password via secret question, it's reported on security log.
And are you sure that M47AK16 has been banned? I am asking this because it has not been reported on modlog.

When cases like this happen, it's mostly caused when a device is compromised without the owner realizing it immediately. We've seen similar situations in the forum before now so it’s good to see the logs being reviewed carefully. I think with proper ownership verification this should hopefully be resolved in a fair and transparent way. I checked the banned account to see that you've been very active, even posted around 6PM with it.

Maybe it could be that there is something I am not getting right here, because using https://bpip.org/Profile?id=3658800 I do not see if the profile is ban, maybe as you are staff there could section for you guys to monitor accounts properly.

If OP did that, consequence (the ban) was done but maybe OP will need more information about using a secret question and account ban.
PSA: ACCOUNTS WILL BE LOCKED IF THE SECRET QUESTION IS USED TO RECOVER IT.

Account recovery is possible if OP is the original owner of that account but it will take some time, maybe with manual account recovery processing.

Hey nothing there to be shocked, that addy is just the legacy format of your same addy. So, electrum must be verifying both of them. I know how your world would be when you are facing a hacking, just calm down and be confident.

OP, put the full signed message inside a code tag.
When people copy the signature, an extra line break gets added within the signature. You can fix this by putting the message inside a code tag.


By the way, do you still have access to the current email address associated with your account?
The hacker hasn't changed the email address and you should be able to reset your password via email address easily.

The account you are talking about is select in rainbet, when yours was hacked, it did not post anything after January 4th and on the same day you also posted that your account was hacked. Neutral and negative is also found in this account, so maybe due to some mistake of yours, the account it was found with is doing this to take revenge on you because neither it is following the rules of rainbet nor is it cheating on your payment.

Just follow the procedure laid out in the topic that logfiles linked to and give the account recovery team whatever time they need to do their thing.

Do you have any idea how your Bitcointalk account and email address got compromised? It's not going to change what happened, but it can serve as a learning curve for the future and something to avoid so it doesn't happen again. Other users who come across this topic can also learn from your experience.

Did you download something suspicious that could have been malware-infected?
Were you targeted by someone personally who wanted access to your accounts/computer, etc.?
Were you tricked into entering your login information in a fake website that compromised your email, Google account, or something similar?
